Fun! I do all my Christmas prep when I put things away the year before. I write down any wants while its still fresh in my mind and that way when decor hits the shelves early I'm not tempted to buy things I already have/ don't need. I'm always grateful to 'past me' when I start decorating for taking the time to organize! (Plus it kicks off the new year clean and declutter frenzy!)

I BOUGHT MY TREE TODAY🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻. Found a cute 6.5 foot at Costco. Been needing a smaller one since my family has gotten smaller(2 girls have gotten married this year). I bought one last year but hated it. Waaay too skinny. I’m so thrilled🥰🥰

Love that you have a room for all of your Christmas decor! If there’s a wreath that you don’t want to use inside your home or on your front/ side doors, you could always hang one down on the shed by the pond? 🎄
@@cookied456 Yes great idea! I’m sure your shed looks beautifully decorated especially with the background of the creek too! I love decorating my shed with some simple holiday decor. I always use the older wreaths or decor that I don’t want anymore inside my home or for on my front porch. I wouldn’t want to spend money on a wreath that’s going to get rained on, snowed on and ruined!

Crystal, recent follower here. Yes I’m old enough to be your mother, but you are just the cutest. Watching you bring out all your Christmas bins, brings back memories of myself at your age. Nothing made me more excited. And yes, I still decorate but on a much smaller scale. Can’t wait to see your decor all styled, especially all the trees.
Yes to the RED!!! Anytime I try to incorporate any other color, I always go back to bright Christmas red. I even got red curtains last year and I LOVED them!
I ordered Christmas pajamas for my 9 grandchildren last week. We do a night 2 weeks before Christmas that we call bucket night as a family. Anyway, I give them Jammie’s that night and we pop corn, eat pizza, have dirty snow, sing Christmas carols, do crafts watch polar express or whatever movie they want and then we load up and go look at lights. Our family loves it and kids say it’s as much fun as Christmas.

This video was so helpful to me. I too moved into a new house. At first I was excited but then not. I think because we have been in different homes for Christmas over the past 4 years. We finally own our home and I should be excited, but for some reason I was just fatigued. Probably because of another year of figuring out how to decorate a different home. I also have a spare bedroom in our basement for all our home decor bins and ect. I love your idea of looking at the bins in that room and going through and prepping first. I think seeing all the fun things and being reminded of what I have would also motivate me. What I'm trying to say is, I really appreciate this video. Thank you Crystal.

Oh my! So many bins of Christmas. But thats good, cause you have children to decorate to the fullest, for, and a beautiful new big house to decorate. Christmas is so much fun when you have kids around. I remember when the boys grew up and left, it was so sad. Then there was just my husband and myself, but then the grand kids were fun. Then there was just me. Not to be a downer, but they grow up so fast. Enjoy them while you can. When there was just me, I would go over to my son’s house on Christmas morning, and some Christmas Eves, spend the night. You accomplished a lot, Crystal. And that Santa Hat was so cute, and I downloaded that cute Christmas tune. And Charlie, so adorable. Love your videos. 🌲

Oh gosh even I got emotional. We moved house four times in the last five years and like you had stuff packed in storage, at my parents etc... yesterday I got the Halloween decor out and had a cry. So many memories ❤. It felt like a long time since the decor was opened and this is the first time in ages it felt like home 🏠 looking forward to the decorate Christmas 🎄
I’ve seen several that put more than 1 tree in their living room. If you have the space go for it! Glad you’re staying traditional. I am traditional & use reds & greens. Can’t wait to see how you decorate & what you picked up!
Crystal can you believe I have started decorating for Christmas. My granddaughter has always helped with the Christmas tree decorating since she could reach the bottom few branches now she just turned 18 and we always set aside a week end she is free for her to decorate the trees. I go to my sister for Thanksgiving because she has a big old house from the 1800’s. Her house is the only one that can hold 60 some of us. I am going to be going away starting tomorrow so I wanted to get a head start on decorating.

OMG, so excited to see the decorations. I love to decorate for Christmas. I would add a tree by the office if you have one. I put a small pre-lit one in my kitchen by my hutch that I decorate for all the holidays. I love it.

I would put the big living room tree on the wall with the big mirror. Plenty of space and you will be able to access almost all sides. It will look squished in the other corner.
