- Can I beat Pokémon Violet using ONLY Dinosaur Pokémon?
RULES:
1. Only Dinosaur Pokémon can be used
2. I cannot over level beyond the Gym leaders ace
3. Must play on set mode
4. No items in battle (held items are okay)
5. No duplicate species can be caught
6. Must nickname Pokémon
EXPLANATIONS FOR EACH POKEMON:
Fuecoco - T Rex / any bipedal dinosaur
Drednaw - Kunbarrasaurus
Breloom - Velociraptor / any bipedal dinosaur
Sandile - Sarcosuchus
Cyclizar - Giganotosaurus
Larvitar - T Rex / any bipedal dinosaur
Arctibax - Spinosaurus / T Rex / any theropod

While a lot of these picks aren't dinosaurs, they do, however, match up nicely with other prehistoric animals that coexisted with dinosaurs.
Spot on, technically there are not many actual dinosaur pokemon in this game
I don't know if it would have helped your team, but Tropius would have been a viable encounter.
I actually caught a Tropius, but I never used him so I cut it from the video! Such a shame as its a cool looking pokemon..

You used the best and most good-looking pokemon for this run imo. (Krookodile with Moxie is a beast- even better that Intimidate)

What really upset me was the true final battle wasn't shown. Koraidon is indeed counted as a dinosaur, so the fight should've been shown.

this was more of a reptile run then a dinosaur run. I get it there's no dinosaur like Pokémon until like the very end of the game but you could have just said reptile run.

False. quaxly is the dino fuecoco is a crocodile (they descended from the same creatures . The archosaur but birds descended from the Dinos while crocodiles did not) now you know

Ok The breloom is counted as a pachyrinosaurs or a Dracorex, Frigibax is a spinosauraus in its second evolution while those can be what many people thought spinosauraus was. Sarah is a Archalon
Sarcosuchus was a different species not a dinosaur and fidgibax is based on something that is not a dinosaur either so your kinda wrong there

Shpuld have used dragopult, its based off a diplocalus which is more dinosur than a sarcosuchus
He should have just done pokemon that LOOK like ALL typs of pryastoric animals, so that he can use great tusk. Also it would make more sense because there where ancient crocodiles at the same time dinosaur existed.

You could chose chamander as a starter bc in my country his name is "Khủng Long Lửa" which mean "fire dinosaur"
tbf pokemons lay eggs, so no matter how, the freaking dolphin is a fish.... still... also, fish taxonomically doesn't mean anything. a starfish is a fish, a jellyfish is a fish... a shoe floating in the middle of the ocean, to an unaware person, is a fish.... besides... many pokemon have different inspirations in one design... so, assuming it is in the dex, should I not use octillery as a fish pokemon cause.... a) is an octopus b) is a tank, or c) I can use it cause it evolved FROM a fish? or maybe is not a fish cause remoraid is based on a GUN too... yeah? ppl argue too hard instead of enjoying the content or keep going if not.

Fun fact birds aren't just descendants of dinosaurs, they ARE dinosaurs. Crocodiles, pterosaurs and sea 'dinos', however, are not
