I had alopecia in a couple of spots on the crown of my head as a teenager....at that age its quite devastating.....but there is treatment via trips to the dermatologist that may involve injections, cream applications to the areas of hair loss on the scalp..... and the hair will grow back.....as my hair did......now with alopecia totalis where some people loose all of their hair including eyebrows, eyelashes etc... that is a little different.....

Aside form illness and stress....hair adhesives for those lace front wigs and just simple genetics along with the natural aging process also cause loss of hair..... there are some people who shave their heads to get in front of the anticipated hair loss of which is understandable....but there are other(s) who choose to shave their head for the attention....
