Very nice I think it’s cool that you tried a couple platforms and kind of let people know what they can expect before they pull the trigger.
I tried to be as unbiased/fair as possible. I think it was important for me to not “declare a winner” as well. Both have their good and bad. Who knows maybe I’ll try Facebook next.

Thank you for going over this! I think it has helped reinforce that I should stick with youtube, as they've improved their features for streaming now, and I also record and edit often. Twitch seems to be falling behind in a few areas now, compared.

i struggled to find a video like this making my own decision where and how to start. this here is gold rn. so if i get it right, it is most useful beside streaming on twitch to do regular youtube content as well. and cool that u can even stream despite being affiliate. wonder if that is the same for being partner or is that more binding?
I'm glad you found the video useful! I'm fairly certain that if you are partnered on Twitch, you are not allowed to stream elsewhere. While if you are CZcams Partner, you can still stream anywhere you'd like. Either way, yes...you should definitely be making content for CZcams to bring people to your Twitch channel!

Same, Twitch Affiliate, stream for fun, but started the YT Grind! What bitrate are you streaming at? Stream settings? maybe another video for content regarding this?
I stream at 12-15k, NVENC, record at 40k also nvenc, but thinking i need to bump it up much more.

Yeah that sounds like something I could cover in a video! I’ll get on that soon! For YT I stream at 9,000 - 13,000 kbps, but I’m still experimenting.
CZcams streaming is, for now, better for established creators.
It's better to start a streaming career in Twitch imo.
If you only want to stream, that may be true. But I think YT has some big things planned for streaming that will slowly kill Twitch and it (Twitch) might not be the biggest/best place for live streaming 5 years from now.
@@CodyRiffs Facebook Gaming is also overlooked. Here in Southeast Asia, gaming is also big but Twitch seems to have underestimated the market here. My siblings and friends have no clue XQC exists (it's an exaggeration) but they worship Toast. I believe Facebook Gaming is also popular in South America. Will it be a stretch if I say in after 5 years it will be YT Gaming vs Facebook Gaming?
@@CzarsSalad Facebook is definitely competing in discoverability and they pay their creators (for the moment) very well. I personally haven’t tried it out yet mostly because I’m just not a fan of Facebook as a platform.
Raiding is coming to CZcams soon . It’s coming either this year or next year

Missed out a huge important part. I stream on CZcams and Google take 50% of all donations, 30% for them and then 20% tax on top of that. So creators only receive 50% of donations, if you want money, go to twitch haha
I just made a second Channel just for streaming here :P But for the mean time do both. (Have not reached affiliate on Twitch either so nothing to lose)

Question Well on twitch is it only if you get views your videos will be pushed and do they delete any streams if you get no views?
I been on CZcams for a long while. Finally i gotten traction again and is close to 1k but i like to see if i can get monitized, but if not ill continue what i been doing and focus on else where in a place i can make side funds. I have a twitch no content yet because i dont want to be double doing on 2 platforms, plus im not into the popular gaming either lol . Plus i dont have all that fomat stuff to do twitch or when you talk about emotes and raids i wouldn't know what to do. I would just like to get on and stream not for all extra todo. But ill see what happens in yt if i can get to the 1k for the try

@@CodyRiffs the ads is one thing where there isnt a skip button, same applies for website itself. also when i search up vods and watch them, it keeps returning me to home page than leaving me where i left off on the search bar.
@@dlazyace9116 ah so you aren’t using the app, you are going to the website on your phones browser, is that right? I’ve only really used the apps for both.
to be honest i multi-stream too both lol my audience has grown in the restream app the chat setting there setting you can turn on to read both chat message from both sites not a lot of streamers don't know about this lol but yea since streaming to youtube my viewership has gone up. so if your a beginner content creator or gamer streamer then go with youtube grow your audience and subscribers and then transfer them over . i use multi-stream too grow from 60 subs too 88 subs but i am not switching over too twitch as of right now i will end the multi-stream just stream on youtube grow my channel up more .twitch is for those with 1000 subs and viewers who will move anywhere cause I multi-stream cause my subscriber have a loyalist platform problem some of my twitch friends hate youtube and some of my youtube friends hate to twitch they will not move over some do some don't. to be honest, i just ban those type of viewers is not worth having fanboys platforms in my channel sometimes .if there for a platform then there not there for you. some of those loyalty platform subs told me they just sub too help me out not watch my videos not fair that i watch there videos and support them i just ban them but as much as i hate twitch my self i know i am going to have too put my stream on twitch only again like i did 3 years ago in 2017 till 2020 . and just stream on twitch . when i become bigger

Right on. I’ll definitely want to check it out. The Twitch/YT experience are so different. I imagine FB is just as different.

@@DragzFire Right now, I don’t think it’s as fun as Twitch, but it’s got potential to kick Twitch down the the basement if YT implements some more features. Looking forward to seeing how it all shakes out.
CZcams Short watch hours do NOT count towards monetization.
Depends on where it’s viewed. My analytics show me that I’m earning watch time hours on my YT Short videos. If the video is viewed from the “shelf”, it doesn’t get the watch hours or ads, but if viewed from the channel, it gets hours and ad revenue.
@@CodyRiffs Correct. They do show up in the analytics. But NOT for the hours needed to reach your 4k hours for monetization.
@@CheckPointProfessor If that's the case, I'm not sure why the math is adding up in my analytics for my watch hour count from shorts.
@@CodyRiffs Agree to disagree I guess. I'm not looking for an argument. I gained 400 watch hours this month from shorts, which did show up in my analytics. But when I click on the "monetization" tab in youtube creator, it did not add those hours to my needed 4k to be partnered. I would actually love this to not be the case. I would be able to hit partner this month from my shorts watch time. LOL
