Your scooter did that as you were riding it. What if it is beeping and showing battery numbers the way it shouldn't - when you're just charging the scooter . It would seem placing glue on battery screws won't fix it - but a new motherboard handlebar.
I know it’s been 2 years but I’m hoping I can drag yo ass back. Theoretically could it also be the firmware? We did the scooter hack on one es2 then installed a battery after. Has the error 42. Mine (es4) came preinstalled then we hacked the firmware no issues. My assumption is the firmware can’t recognize the secondary external battery because of this.

I was getting error 42 and 48. I cleaned the four smaller pins for the battery contact, added dielectric grease, and tightened the rail that the battery mounts to. To clean I used a cotton swab and 99.9% isopropyl alcohol with most of the cotton removed and it came out black with carbon or oxidation or something even though the scooter is less than one month old. The dielectric grease is sold here at auto parts stores as “bulb grease.” I put it over the holes on the battery pack such that installing the battery would have the pins push the grease into the holes. I wiped off the excess and reinstalled the battery. The errors went away completely!
mostly error 42 have issues in pins and port of battery.

U should do a video of this procedure sounds more exact than just adding thread lock which hurts your chances of removing a small bolt with a lame small T15 jerk tool which just gets stripped
@@rickyhelton1 the problem has not returned though we have been using the scooter more than ever… several times a day, most days (tornado got my car then my brother’s was in an accident). I do not expect it to return with grease in the contacts, since dielectric grease prevents corrosion and oxidation while promoting conductivity. :)
If I ever have the battery off again I will try to go over it again but it really was as simple as cleaning the pins with alcohol and getting bulb grease into the connections. I use the stuff on motorcycle and car battery terminals, headlight connections, etc and I’ve had the same little packet for several years (size of a ketchup packet). It works wonders on inconsistent connections.

Your video is maybe good for someone who got a external battery, but in my Case I don't have one ! I have just the original one and it shows me the error code 42, so back to the beginning what shell I do ? There is water inside the battery in the steering wheel.....!

James I need help my brakes work and the day before it was running fine only issue I had before was I lost my front fender hitting bumps but the next day I hit go the wheel (motor ) does nothing do I need a need a new motor ?
check the connection from controller may its shake inside causing brake connection lost

This helps just for a very short time!. It's a known problem: Ninebot used, and still inexplicably continue using, a crappy connector and mounting system that gets damaged from vibration. The best Thing you kann do: Never buy a fucking Chinese product again! You can also sort of ghetto a fix with a XT30 connector and some smaller bare pins if the connector side on the scooter is still in decent shape and the most damage is on the side of the battery; however, if the scooter side is beyond repair, then you will have to take apart the whole thing and do some pretty serious soldering. But I'm shure, you will hate the Chinies if you will do that!

check the pins of connectore make sure you insert nicely use cable tie to tighten support check also the external batt maybe damage

I think I found the solution you just need to clean the small part where the external battery connects to segway. That What I did and it solved it. It has not appeard anymore

Well I've snapped the clipped so another thing that needs to be said is you will need zipties eventually if the screws are already broken
even if you screw is not broken you can use zip ties for support because sometimes the screws is loose because of vubration of solid tire

Bro my ES2 external battery 4 lights are blinking when I am riding it. suddenly it happens and the scooter uses only the internal battery for riding. after some time the external battery reconnects again. I have noticed that when I full-throttle the scooter and the speed is above 25, then this issue happens. and if I am not stressing the scooter then it runs fine. Community please let me know if someone faces the same issue and fixed it.

No. It don't show any error om the screen But the external battery lights are flashing as an error.
Mine is still showing the 42 and 48 error codes, even after doing this. Dunno what else to do.

Well I Notice That es4 Scooter Has Some Problems Than Xiaomi M365.
mostly happens i guess becuase of solid tire and vibration thats why it happens but in my experience 2300 odo until now that is my first error

Sorry dude that won't fix anything. It will just reset and come right back..It's a bigger issue with the speed controller..Segway knows about it but has moved on..They suck!
