Honestly, it's sad how everyone keeps telling Atsushi to be optimistic and talk as if it's something he could control. The trauma and PTSD, everything he felt is something that can't be reversed. Atsushi throughout the story tries his best to be better, the anime literally starts after he has been kicked out and he has only been released from his abusive orphanage. He is allowed to be like that and Atsushi doesn't know what he will have in the future. Also even in the future, that's why Atsushi trying his best to protect what he has cause he loves ADA and what he has right now. Overall it's a great video, thank you for the early Christmas present! 🎉
it is quite sad and i agree with how atsushi's behavior is reasonable, but also the others are morally grey kids with contrasting personalities and they don't seem to comprehend perspectives of those that are not themselves or even alike to them. all in all, they're all children here, and (most) children tend to be insensitive or rude to strangers/peers

FACTS. traumatised people have their own way of coping. and if someone or a certain situation triggers it, they would fall in negativity in various ways. honestly, Atsushi just got out of the orphanage. then got hunted down by the Government, MAFIA, THE GUILD and ADA cus of his ability. Later on, was forced to join ADA so that he wont be hunted and be able to better control his ability as well as to use it to protect rather than to harm. then right after joining, he got kidnapped by The MAFIA and hunted by THE GUILD. the ADA refuses to save him especially cuz its his private affair. (w/c is funny cuz once you officially joined a goverment related job, whether is private or public, it stands to reason that said employer must conduct a search and investigation then rescue when proven their employee was missing and abducted. especially if maybe the reason was to attack him if its job related. ) But they didnt do so despite him being an official employee cuz said it was Atsushi's own private affairs. and helping him would just bring harm and troubles to the ADA. Later on, Tanizaki's sister complaint and ask approval for a rescue to the President. Thats why they helped. Then shit keeps happening that he doesnt even have time to think over and heal his traumas. When the Orphanage Director dies, Atsushi was forced to face his trauma head on without much psychological preparations. Same thing goes with Dead Apple's Shibusawa. incident. Until Akutagawa dies, ATSUSHI wasnt able to heal himself PSYCHOLOGICALLY. He was forced to repeatedly face harm and violence.

Naturally, the higher the rank the stronger one is. Later on, due to him under Fukuzawa's Ability, he was able to slowly master his own Ability. One of Atsushi's White Tiger ability allows him to perceived one's emotion or intention towards him, capability to accurately tell if someone is lying to him. He can also use it towards enemies. Thus, Atsushi was aware from the beginning the ADA'S attitude and sincerity to him, thus his belief of them not understanding him and further solidifying it that their acceptance to him was related to him if he was useful or not. During Orphanage Director Incident, Tanizaki was his first closest one and to open up to him due to MAFIA KIDNAPPING ATSUSHI INCIDENT, only the TANIZAKI SIBLING's wanted to purely rescue and save him but was helpless. Because, KUNIKIDA HATES TO INTERFERE AS HE DEEMS ATSUSHI TROUBLE MAGNET TO ADA, Ranpo doesnt care and Yosano was the same, thus it was nailed like that. Only because of Tanizaki's sister asking Fukuzawa to interfere and approved of it thats how they helped. ATSUSHI WAS AWARE OF HIS STATUS IN ADA. He keeps working hard to be acknowledge as well. Ranpo has Fukuzawa to help his trauma and protect him. Yosano has Ranpo. Dazai has '7 years time' to think over. ATSUSHI HAS NONE. Atsushi had to PSYCHOLOGICALLY HEAL HIMSELF WHILE DOING LIFE AND DEATH - WORLD SAVING MISSIONS. As if it isnt enough, his other half Akutagawa dies to save him while their on a mission. Thus his hallucinations worsens although the good thing is its towards positivity. From his Orphanage Director to Dazai and Akutagawa.
I love how Dazai questioned why the orphanage would mistreat Atsushi at 12:03 but didn’t bat an eye and wonder why he would do the same to Aku; it shows how he doesn’t take things in with regard to emotions and feelings, but with logic. Bcuz with Aku, the reason why he would mistreat him is obvious enough to Dazai: he’s ‘training’ him so he could survive in the mafia. But there’s no logical reason an orphanage would mistreat an orphan unless there was something fishy about the situation, and he immediately questioned that.

I love that everyone who was saying to stop being a crybaby to atsushi were the ones who never got abused. Dazai, yosano and akutagawa (kind of) understood the meaning of trauma from abuse. Oda, chuuya and ranpo all complained on how he was just being a crybaby and that pissed me off so much (I really can’t say for sure if they weren’t abused so correct me if I’m wrong but thank god for posting I love people reacting to atsushi’s trauma)
I can't say anything about Oda and ranpo, but chuuya sure knows what he's talking about, he's past is one of the most traumatic events in bsd, he was a lab rat, lost a family, lost friends, he was abandoned, and now believing he's not even human, it's a constant duel with yourself, "i'm i really human, is this really me?" But he doesn't whine becuase of the past like atsushi does in the video, he moves forward, he's one of the most powerful ability users in the bsd universe, becuase he doesn't whine about things that happened before
@@sixteendreamerI have watched only till season 2 of bsd but I can tell that at sushi really tries not to engage others in his trauma. It is not that he whines, it is just that he only recently got out the abuse. So of course he has hallucinations and mental difficulties. I don't know when chuuya got freedom from his abuse but I do know that at sushi still needs time to get over his PTSD. And I can tell that he will.
@@sixteendreamerthe difference between Chuuya and Atsushi is that Chuuya always and I mean always moves forward (literally in stormbringer all the traumatic stuff happened after one and another in a row and yet Chuuya didn't break). Not alot of ppl can stay strong and not let their trauma bring them down. Atsushi is also moving forward but not at the same pace as Chuuya did.

Ofcourse he hasn't cried like Chuuya did in stormbringer when he saw the flags and I think he cried after he fought off his clone.

And it indeed a reasonable conclusion, and I wish to see them remembering that Dazai was a child too, despite what he claim to show as "evil" or "careless/violent", it will be also pretty good to see Oda's and ranpo's reaction seeing how they are with Dazai in the future, along with yosano's about their similarities, and of course Chuuya's react, I'm not sure if the creator is willing to show about the romantic/fanon soukoku, but she definitely gotta bring the canon soukoku relationship. I myself find the canon soukoku better than the fanon. Their relationship is already deep and complicated (hate, trust, care) and love isn't always the thing that built a relationship, just like how soukoku are, they trust and understand each other, and (even without admitting it) they do care about each other.

God, it is indeed canon, but bruh, some logic to their mini brains to understand that this is a trauma effect. But still, that what made the reaction even more amazing.
I kinda wanted to punch almost everyone in this room when it was Atsushi's turn, but I kind of understand that they all had rough past's and therefore don't exactly know how to deal with trauma. But even so, Atsushi deserves to cry all he wants. He can whine all he wants. He can feel sorry all he wants. Trauma isn't easy, worse if it's a case like his where he was horribly abused physically and mentally. He isn't a crybaby, he has a big trauma and CAN cry because of it, it isn't being weak or just annoying whining, it's the result of years of a kid being beat up just because. Real the fact that they prioritize that atsushi is an mature teenager just bc he look taller or smth the trauma he got literally r messed up I'm a bit disappointed that they don't show how atsushi was treated as a child AND in his orphanage like many ppl missed it he literally got abused to both of the people who he could trust

To that, they were "free". They knew how it was to be happy, even if they coudn't experience it. Atsushi was in that orphange since he was a baby, he never got to see a "happy family". The first time he saw something like that must have been when adults adopted some kid or when he was kicked out of the orphange
I love it so much! i really like how you shown Dazai's personality and how good he is at acting and akus personality. The way one time in video Dazai says "Kids these days" reminds me of myself and that he is also a kid. The one where oda says "The one who gives up on life must be a fool" he gave up on one time some of the others in the room too.

It’s so fucking sad how Atsushi is treated by some of them, and how Dazai is ostracized. He’s fucking sick to the head and he is so not good for what he has done and will do. But he is still a kid, who has been manipulated just like Akutagawa. He should be blamed, but even more so Mori. And Akutagawa too should get a little blame for doing the same to Kyouka. I would love to see how they react to mori and the abuse cycle and the buraiha trio. Atsushi having such a sad backstory yet still being called a crybaby is so disgusting to me. You wouldn’t be able to understand what happened to him, he has different coping methods too!
Exactly, it did shatter my heart to make them insensitive towards his trauma. Everyone went through a lot but they just.. lack the empathy and maturity to understand the situation. They see Atsushi as the oldest in the room in this timeline, probably thinking, “oh he should be the mature one here, why is he crying?” I cried too at some point while writing their dialogues down 😭
This reaction vid having their canon (maybe) personality is why I loved it but you're right about all that. I was waiting for them to react to the abuse cycle and the reason Dazai joined the ADA. It's odd when I see Ranpo being immature even though he's capable of knowing and understanding a whole situation with just a single given clue. I really loved this as they would probably have more interesting reactions in the future because some of them already jumped to a conclusion (maybe)

Everytime I watch one of these I get so excited for soukoku. Im really hoping that you include Stormbringer in Chuuya's section/part of the video, as it reveals alot of things about him and shows all the stuff he has to go through at the age of SIXTEEN Im also very excited to see their reactions to Soukoku, as it has been made very evident that Chuuya and Dazai are not getting along at all in this reaction room.
god i love this video so much!!! the way they treat atsushi reactions, while hurtful, is entirely realistic fhjdjdjwke. and the way they all gang up on dazai is so funny to me. i think it was such a good decision to go into this with sskk first. having seen dazai at probably his worst personality wise (chuuya hasnt shown him a reason to try living yet, so the quote he gives mori at the beginning of 15 is pretty active here) and seeing the consequences of his actions with akutagawa will make it very interesting when his segment comes around. and i really liked the bit where he was acting too, too often we disregard his oscar worthy performance in 15 💔 fhehnens... honestly just your entire dealing with of akutagawa was great. his reactions make me so sad, especially ones in regard to him dying. and the way they try to grapple with the kyouka situation was great. it was also really interesting to see dazais reaction to atsushi and kyouka, considering it was the ripple effect of his actions with atsushi. thats something I'm looking forward to seeing too! just... i know i keep talking about dazai but hes my favorite and this video honestly sets up so many interesting factors for whenever things get to him, or for me to just think about in general. his relationship with ranpo is another thing im so fascinated by. they dont like each other very much in here, but in present day dazai is incredibly impressed by ranpos intelligence and calls him "[the] one who transcended even ability users". its so interesting to remember how they are in canon compared to here. so all in all, amazing and compelling video!!! and the shout out was so cool omg im gonna ride off this high all day

AHHHH I love this so much, the part where they just gang up on Dazai, it was really ironic knowing that 1 was his ex-partner, 1 was his bestfriend, and 3 are his co-workers. Also I sort of feel bad for Atsushi but at the same time, I love their reactions to even his personality. Well everyone is saying how they dislike them saying Atsushi is a crybaby, while me on the other hand think it is great to add that in it. Well of course he dwells into his past way too much and doesn’t see what he has now, but my reason isn’t this. Some of them, just doesn’t understand given their personalities like Ranpo and Chuuya who don’t have low-self esteem like Atsushi, so it’s really understandable if they say that and it won’t be OOC. According to science, myths or legends, White Tiger is the KING of TIGERS, and Atsushi's White Tiger even has the possibility of it being a Divine Beast. Naturally, the higher the rank the stronger one is.
Later on, due to him under Fukuzawa's Ability, he was able to slowly master his own Ability. One of Atsushi's White Tiger ability allows him to perceived one's emotion or intention towards him, capability to accurately tell if someone is lying to him. He can also use it towards enemies.
Thus, Atsushi was aware from the beginning the ADA'S attitude and sincerity to him, thus his belief of them not understanding him and further solidifying it that their acceptance to him was related to him if he was useful or not.
During Orphanage Director Incident, Tanizaki was his first closest one and to open up to him due to MAFIA KIDNAPPING ATSUSHI INCIDENT, only the TANIZAKI SIBLING's wanted to purely rescue and save him but was helpless. Because, KUNIKIDA HATES TO INTERFERE AS HE DEEMS ATSUSHI TROUBLE MAGNET TO ADA, Ranpo doesnt care and Yosano was the same, thus it was nailed like that. Only because of Tanizaki's sister asking Fukuzawa to interfere and approved of it thats how they helped.
ATSUSHI WAS AWARE OF HIS STATUS IN ADA. He keeps working hard to be acknowledge as well.
Ranpo has Fukuzawa to help his trauma and protect him. Yosano has Ranpo. Dazai has '7 years time' to think over. ATSUSHI HAS NONE.
Atsushi had to PSYCHOLOGICALLY HEAL HIMSELF WHILE DOING LIFE AND DEATH - WORLD SAVING MISSIONS. As if it isnt enough, his other half Akutagawa dies to save him while their on a mission. Thus his hallucinations worsens although the good thing is its towards positivity. From his Orphanage Director to Dazai and Akutagawa.
I love how Dazai questioned why the orphanage would mistreat Atsushi at 12:03 but didn’t bat an eye and wonder why he would do the same to Aku; it shows how he doesn’t take things in with regard to emotions and feelings, but with logic. Bcuz with Aku, the reason why he would mistreat him is obvious enough to Dazai: he’s ‘training’ him so he could survive in the mafia. But there’s no logical reason an orphanage would mistreat an orphan unless there was something fishy about the situation, and he immediately questioned that.
Oh wow you’re very perceptive. Indeed Dazai heavily relies on logic which definitely makes him less compassionate or empathetic, but not emotionless. He’s more of a “the end justifies the action” type of guy. I admire how astute your observation really is ❤
I love that everyone who was saying to stop being a crybaby to atsushi were the ones who never got abused. Dazai, yosano and akutagawa (kind of) understood the meaning of trauma from abuse. Oda, chuuya and ranpo all complained on how he was just being a crybaby and that pissed me off so much (I really can’t say for sure if they weren’t abused so correct me if I’m wrong but thank god for posting I love people reacting to atsushi’s trauma)
I can't say anything about Oda and ranpo, but chuuya sure knows what he's talking about, he's past is one of the most traumatic events in bsd, he was a lab rat, lost a family, lost friends, he was abandoned, and now believing he's not even human, it's a constant duel with yourself, "i'm i really human, is this really me?" But he doesn't whine becuase of the past like atsushi does in the video, he moves forward, he's one of the most powerful ability users in the bsd universe, becuase he doesn't whine about things that happened before
@@sixteendreamerI have watched only till season 2 of bsd but I can tell that at sushi really tries not to engage others in his trauma. It is not that he whines, it is just that he only recently got out the abuse. So of course he has hallucinations and mental difficulties. I don't know when chuuya got freedom from his abuse but I do know that at sushi still needs time to get over his PTSD. And I can tell that he will.
@@sixteendreamerthe difference between Chuuya and Atsushi is that Chuuya always and I mean always moves forward (literally in stormbringer all the traumatic stuff happened after one and another in a row and yet Chuuya didn't break). Not alot of ppl can stay strong and not let their trauma bring them down. Atsushi is also moving forward but not at the same pace as Chuuya did.

Ofcourse he hasn't cried like Chuuya did in stormbringer when he saw the flags and I think he cried after he fought off his clone.
I love this so much, it hurts my soul how everyone(minus Dazai and Yosano) keeps telling Atsushi he’s a crybaby and has low self esteem as if he wouldn’t get that from all the abuse he’s gone through. I still love the video, just hurts my soul.
Nah, how they keep telling atsu to be optimistic as if he can control, and how they keep throwing the blame on Dazai because it just looks like it. I just would love to see their react to Dazai's side, and if they would keep the same view on him or not, keep the work, dear. This is literally a masterpiece.

And it indeed a reasonable conclusion, and I wish to see them remembering that Dazai was a child too, despite what he claim to show as "evil" or "careless/violent", it will be also pretty good to see Oda's and ranpo's reaction seeing how they are with Dazai in the future, along with yosano's about their similarities, and of course Chuuya's react, I'm not sure if the creator is willing to show about the romantic/fanon soukoku, but she definitely gotta bring the canon soukoku relationship. I myself find the canon soukoku better than the fanon. Their relationship is already deep and complicated (hate, trust, care) and love isn't always the thing that built a relationship, just like how soukoku are, they trust and understand each other, and (even without admitting it) they do care about each other.

I kinda wanted to punch almost everyone in this room when it was Atsushi's turn, but I kind of understand that they all had rough past's and therefore don't exactly know how to deal with trauma. But even so, Atsushi deserves to cry all he wants. He can whine all he wants. He can feel sorry all he wants. Trauma isn't easy, worse if it's a case like his where he was horribly abused physically and mentally. He isn't a crybaby, he has a big trauma and CAN cry because of it, it isn't being weak or just annoying whining, it's the result of years of a kid being beat up just because. Omfg I want to hug him, he doesn't deserve to be treated like this. 😔
Real the fact that they prioritize that atsushi is an mature teenager just bc he look taller or smth the trauma he got literally r messed up I'm a bit disappointed that they don't show how atsushi was treated as a child AND in his orphanage like many ppl missed it he literally got abused to both of the people who he could trust

I honestly feel so bad for Atsushi, they expect him to just stop being childish and just stop whining about the past. Do they think it’s easy to just overcame that brutal past? I know the other suffered too but it’s not right to just make someone just to control his emotions..

To that, they were "free". They knew how it was to be happy, even if they coudn't experience it. Atsushi was in that orphange since he was a baby, he never got to see a "happy family". The first time he saw something like that must have been when adults adopted some kid or when he was kicked out of the orphange

It’s so fucking sad how Atsushi is treated by some of them, and how Dazai is ostracized. He’s fucking sick to the head and he is so not good for what he has done and will do. But he is still a kid, who has been manipulated just like Akutagawa. He should be blamed, but even more so Mori. And Akutagawa too should get a little blame for doing the same to Kyouka. I would love to see how they react to mori and the abuse cycle and the buraiha trio. Atsushi having such a sad backstory yet still being called a crybaby is so disgusting to me. You wouldn’t be able to understand what happened to him, he has different coping methods too!
Exactly, it did shatter my heart to make them insensitive towards his trauma. Everyone went through a lot but they just.. lack the empathy and maturity to understand the situation. They see Atsushi as the oldest in the room in this timeline, probably thinking, “oh he should be the mature one here, why is he crying?” I cried too at some point while writing their dialogues down 😭
This reaction vid having their canon (maybe) personality is why I loved it but you're right about all that. I was waiting for them to react to the abuse cycle and the reason Dazai joined the ADA. It's odd when I see Ranpo being immature even though he's capable of knowing and understanding a whole situation with just a single given clue. I really loved this as they would probably have more interesting reactions in the future because some of them already jumped to a conclusion (maybe)

god i love this video so much!!! the way they treat atsushi reactions, while hurtful, is entirely realistic fhjdjdjwke. and the way they all gang up on dazai is so funny to me. i think it was such a good decision to go into this with sskk first. having seen dazai at probably his worst personality wise (chuuya hasnt shown him a reason to try living yet, so the quote he gives mori at the beginning of 15 is pretty active here) and seeing the consequences of his actions with akutagawa will make it very interesting when his segment comes around. and i really liked the bit where he was acting too, too often we disregard his oscar worthy performance in 15 💔 fhehnens... honestly just your entire dealing with of akutagawa was great. his reactions make me so sad, especially ones in regard to him dying. and the way they try to grapple with the kyouka situation was great. it was also really interesting to see dazais reaction to atsushi and kyouka, considering it was the ripple effect of his actions with atsushi. thats something I'm looking forward to seeing too! just... i know i keep talking about dazai but hes my favorite and this video honestly sets up so many interesting factors for whenever things get to him, or for me to just think about in general. his relationship with ranpo is another thing im so fascinated by. they dont like each other very much in here, but in present day dazai is incredibly impressed by ranpos intelligence and calls him "[the] one who transcended even ability users". its so interesting to remember how they are in canon compared to here.

Honestly, seeing how everyone in the room DESPISE Dazai while knowing they’re the ones who canonically welcomes and admires him the most makes me feel like a villain. Well everyone is saying how they dislike them saying Atsushi is a crybaby, while me on the other hand think it is great to add that in it. Well of course he dwells into his past way too much and doesn’t see what he has now, but my reason isn’t this. Some of them, just doesn’t understand given their personalities like Ranpo and Chuuya who don’t have low-self esteem like Atsushi, so it’s really understandable if they say that and it won’t be OOC.
