Actually we don't know which Xhaka is going to show up on the pitch...he's either brilliant of bad. Thankfully he is maturing and taking more responsibility especially when he wears the Captain's armband.

Saliba MOTM for me. HIs recovery time and time again stopping the counter, recovering possession, really made a huge difference. Kept things under control in the back, allowing us to stay dominant in the middle of the pitch and going forward.

As a Man City fan I am so pleased for Gabby. Really was gutted to see him leave even tho we had Haaland joining, he always played his heart out for City and left nothing on the pitch. So happy to see him still thriving at Arsenal and wish him all the best there.

From an Arsenal man, Granit Xhaka is truly cementing his name as an Arsenal legend. We had a rough patch with him, but he has been faultless. He's the only player that can transition from defence to attack and get us flowing. Intelligent footballer and great guy, glad to see him doing well again.
Even during his dark patches, he has been our most hard-working and in that sense, our most valuable player. All managers have played him. Good total-footballer.

He's been at Arsenal for so long and yet it feels like he's just getting started. Judging by what he means to the club, the fact that he sometimes coaches some of the academy sides, it feels like he's gonna stay here for the rest of his career. It seems likely he's gonna become a part of the coaching staff at some point in the future and literally stay forever. I'm so happy for him.

That was Partey and Xhaka's best performance together. They set the tone in midfield and allowed Arsenal to play forward with freedom and ruthlessness.
Just back from the match, my first in a few years. Watching live, never realised how much Partey is constantly moving, and Odegaard is orchestrating that midfield so well - non stop telling players to make runs, hold off etc. all game long.
After a long few years of misery it is so good to see Arsenal playing proper football again!

Arteta's tactic completes him. It's astonishing how giving him a role of box-to-box midfielder by Zinchenko and Partey at his back regenerated him. He still contributes defensively but farther from our goal, which I think makes perfect sense given his sometimes aggressive defensive routines. I really like how he enjoys his game.
Since the season starts no one has been mentioning Tielemans. Xhaka has silence that with his performances, really proud and happy for him.
