Very interesting. Ive been thinking about how I would build my own van for a long time and you have completely covered all the items on my list except the modular kitchen. This is the one item I feel has fallen short of not quite making it. Basic camping, there is a table, a burner, a cook box, a water with spigot, (no water lost) a cooler and then a wash tub for clean up. As much as it is nice to have a sink, I cook more then wash and food needs to be able to be stored for a minimum of 3 days. Think about it, more time is spent eating food, cooked or not, then bothering with a sink. Food for thought!
Glad you found it interesting! There are definitely a lot of decisions that go into a van build. If you would ever like to chat with someone at Vandoit feel free to reach out to us via www.vandoit.com/talk-with-our-van-gurus
I really like everything about how Vandoit builds their Vans. The only thing I don’t care for is that it looks like they reuse the factory upper sidewalls in the back. It actually takes up a fair amount of space. Not sure why they do this? I’d love to hear an explanation.
Wow, exactly what I want and trying to figure out how to build. Love it.
Thats awesome! Hit us up..we would love to connect you with a VanGuru to discuss options!
Love it! 80/20 modulation 😎
Arrrg! Just bought my Sprinter because NO ONE had any Fords in stock. Had I seen you video and website before I would have contacted you!
And you work with Fords only. Oh well, I’m lovin my Sprinter. Thanks for the ideas.
Wow! That’s modular! 😉
haha Thank You!
Man, that's perfect! Exactly what i'm actually thinking about, buď i want to made it on my own.
Good! Let us save you time, hassle and $$ and we can build the "bones" for you. Then you can add on to make it your own!
Whooou, just thinking about working, camper van, becouse I work in rope access industry, like mtb, have 2 specializet fsr bikes., and your video pop up. Great work, thanks for idea how to build it.
It's really awesome. That's modular man! 😱
Thanks Camilo!
@@vandoitco What a great idea ✌🏻😊
That great guys , keep up the inspiration
Thanks Frank!
WOW. Genious what to make out of a Ford Transit.
Amazing! Exactly what we’re looking for in our Sprinter van. Will check your website.
Thank you! Hope to hear from you soon
Awesome video guys 👏
Thank you so much!!
This is exactly I want!
Awesome! Please let us know if we can help! You can contact us here: www.vandoit.com/contactus
"THE" ultimate adventure /camp/WORK Van... NIIIICE!!!
Wow this evolves my ideas sooo much! Thank you! A lot of my build ideas are based on "versatile versatility" but I will now be thinking more modular for sure! New big fan right here, great job!
while this costs way beyond the resources of people who might wish to spent a year traveling, this van is perfect if you can afford. That it is modular and not glued or screwed into place allows the van to flex without stressing the anchor points. I would love this but I could also buy a house in a small town for the same amount. Its good but not within reach of the larger part of the audience who would use the product constantly.
We are glad you like the build! We do have a large number of van owners who spend big chunks of time in their van and even some small families that live full time in their van.
That 8020 is a dream to work with
We Agree!
Very clever
Amazing products and craftsmanship! It’s very considerate that the wiring is color coded, and parts are easily replaceable. We’ve been contemplating a van that can be my daily driver/cargo hauler, camper, and passenger vehicle for extended family road trips. Your “do” model seems to fit the bill.
Can all of your components be removed easily by two people so that I can haul full sheets of plywood? Will the folding bunk beds comfortably sleep 4 adults? What’s the actual bed size?
Very impressive. Thanks for the inspiration.
Damn i wish that stuff would be available in Europe, but thanks for the inspiration, one day i will build my custom van like that. :D
This is so sick... Is the inside framing done with 80/20? The accessories for it seem really cool as well
Hi Andy! Thank you for your kind words! Yes it is!
Amazing
Thanks! :)
Brilliant!
Thanks Catherine!
I want one of these vans!
Woah!😮 The Future of camper-van fit-out! Love it!!!
Thank you so much! :D
This is the best video in the VanDoIt series because content says it by doing it. Most Expo Show videos require sales & service agents to e-x-p-l-a-i-n stuff to customers; slow and boring. Advertise this video everywhere! Also, consider breakout videos to showcase each portion of this video; name label by section. - Steve, Utah
Thank you so much for your kind feedback Steven!! :) We apprecaite it!
Not very ‘homely’ but nice concept for someone or a business that needs flexibility in a van.
I would shorten that rolling table/sink so its usable while sitting
I see you guys use 80/20 Aluminum extrusions but where do you get those t-slot tie down straps?
DANG THAT'S MODULAR!! 😄
Awesome work!
Are the seat rails used at all for securing the floor or do you drill through?
How are the modular items secured to the wall / floor?
The seats are placed in Ford factory seating. We do not drill into the framing of the van. Most of the t-tracking is actually placed in ford factory holes.
This is pretty amazing. We're thinking of getting a Ford Transit 350 as our next tour vehicle so we can haul our equipment plus seating for 8 and have a bed as well. Would definitely like to talk with you guys. Have you ever done a "band build"?
I do know we have a customer that use his van to take his drum set to gigs. Not sure if we have ever done one for a full band yet.
I am wowed. Been looking for a van I can modify for our camping needs. Which van do you recommend, the passenger type or the crew van
Hi Jigger! We build on the passenger van for the safety features, wiring capabilities, and windows. Let us know if we can help! www.vandoit.com/contactus
Amazing 😍
Thank you so much! :)
Wow....very excited by the versatility. Do you finish any vans or just do the big stuff? Thanks for posting
We do the entire build! From the framing to the other components. A lot of our customers do end up adding their own additions once they get their vans!
Wow this is amazing! I don’t think we’ve seen anything like it! Very innovative designs 😊👍🏼
Thanks Danny and Tulu!
Looks like it's all there; this is awesome!!
Thank You!
Amazing. Good job.
Thank you very much!
Wow!! Take my 💰 ... Awesome product
Thanks! :)
Love it!
Is the folding bike stand on the gear tray a one off, or something we can purchase? (Got my 80/20 catalog today... it will happen one way or another lol).
We don't sell them separately but it's a customization that can be added to a VanDOit!
Yes its Modular. and you all did a great job.. Only problem is it's just not Attractive to the eye.. Sorry :( This is definitely something a Company Work Van could take advantage of.
Just found the van build company I’m going with and they use the ford transit
nice work
Thanks!
I like to know how the bed raising.
The bed is on hydraulics. We have a manual crank on the rear drivers side that operates the hydraulic lift.
what's the song you guys used for this video? And great job on the build! I like the idea of things being modular like that.
Hi! :) The song is "Hot Coffee" on the CZcams free audio library. Thank you so much!! :)
Exactly what i want, can you build a modular bathroom including shower and toilet?
We have a toilet and shower solution that are not built into the van, but can be used in the van when needed and then removed when not. We will be releasing a video soon of our portable shower system that we use in our vans.
Bravi dall'Italia super
Thank you!
Can you do this to any van or just Ford?
For now we only build on the Transit!
Video speed to fast for me but good concept
Thank you!
This is way beyond cool... modular, even... but if I wanted all those accessories in *my* van (which I would, naturally), I'd have to consider something closer to a Class A motorhome 😂!
Fair enough! Luckily in our builds people can get a van that is super decked out or a lot more minimalistic! The choice is up to the customer selecting the options for their build.
There are expenses associated with Class A that are less costly or not required for Vans. These costs can be several hundreds per month. ie: Parking (limited boondocking) , storage when not in use, campground costs and lack of availability… etc.
This is what I was searching. Dude this is awesome
Thank you!
Fantastic Video!! Well done! :)
Thanks Guys! :)
Hi, nice build! How are the rails attached to the inside ceiling of the van?
Thank You Rob! They are mounted and bolted to the ceilings
Do you have dog crates that fit in ?
Very impressed. I’m inspired to utilise some of your ideas when I finally get my new van. I too have to use for work and it makes perfect sense to go for the ‘modular’ approach 👍
Wow thats modular man!! i love the ideas, innovation, the big dealerships should be worried.
Thank you!
My imagination got me here to this wonderland
URL to buy that?
Hi, please fill out a contact form on our site and one of our VanGuru's will reach out to you! vandoit.com/contact-us/
I want a van like this some day :)
That's not modular but spectacular ❤
Did anyone watch & not barf after 90 seconds?
The best I’ve ever seen till now..! Well done
Thank you!
HELL YEAH...THAT'S MODULAR!!!
Can you get the driver side to swivel?
Unfortunately we cannot add a driver's side swivel. The emergency brake is in a spot that does not allow for a driver's side swivel.
Can you tell us the sourced companies for this build?
Hi Sidqi! We work with companies Dometic, Quigley 4x4, Thule, Smittybilt, 80/20, Roofnest, MaxxAir, Aluminess, BF Goodrich, Ultra Wheel Company, and ARB to name a few!
Ya got it all there! 👍
Spinning/swivel front seats?
We Do! :)
We have a swivel passenger seat!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The tracks are unsightly
Show “chasing powder “
I LOVE it!!! Keep on growing
Thank you!
Digging the Modular ....... ? $$$. ?
Pricing is very dependent on components chosen. But typically our builds range anywhere from $48,000-$108,000 van included.
❤😂
Very NICE. I wonder if the indoor shower setup could have accordion siding that could contain both the shower base and toilet? So basically a modular indoor shower/toilet. If you can have a modular kitchen (would love to see a larger fridge btw) then an indoor shower toilet would be very desirable. Just sayin:-)
We currently sell larger Dometic fridge and about to start installing small galley fridges for those who want a more traditional fridge.
@@vandoitco EXCELLENT. That resolves the food issue. I intend to do a months long nationwide book tour next year and want to look into having a van to make the trip. So i'm looking around. I wonder if that indoor toilet/shower setup is feasible? Probably too much to hope for but hey...:-)
If you get in wreck....all those twist mount 'MODULAR" pieces are going to hit you right in the back of the head.
this may be a bit modular;
Thanks Teodor! :)
How many 8020 trees died for this build?!
Too many! haha
Video way to sliced up for me.
That shit makes Optimus Prime look like a crappy Transformer.
SLOW DOWN. AND TURN THAT AWFUL MUSIC OFF!
E
Okay yeah but these tracks look ugly though.
