I can't say for sure why, but I really like this story. Something is very satisfying about Mystique and Destiny reuniting that I can't explain.
Same. Except I always liked Mystique but Hickman made me like Destiny even more.

I don't think Mystique even needed to do all of that IMO she could've made a compelling argument for Destiny when we already had Mr. Sinister, Apocalypse, Emma, Shaw, Exodus, and even Mystique herself who are way more problematic than Destiny and they're already on the council.
I’m intrigued, I actually consider Destiny a good choice for the Council but Colossus, I don’t know, it just seems too far-fetched, he has a good heart but he’s not that great of a leader.
After that “GIVE ME BACK MY WIFE” panel of Mystique. This makes me overly happy
Colossus didn’t join the Brotherhood, he joined Magneto’s Acolytes. And as much as I like Piotr, I was hoping to see Northstar fill Jean’s seat on the Quiet Council.
I blame the stupid pettiness between everyone on the Quiet Council for what's going on. Except for Kate, Storm and Kurt (though really voting to make his mother happy was a dumb idea), everyone has it out for everyone else, and while I get that Xavier and Magneto need to keep the secrets, the fact they've burned so much, and filled the seats with mutants who were once enemies of them, is going to cause problems.
I am glad that Emma Frost has been shown that yes, she is actually a good person who people can trust. She's a good bean with enough power to make a huge difference.
In the end, what needs to happen, is that Xavier and Magneto need to tell people what is going on, let people know of Moria and what has happened, cause the longer they keep this in the dark, the longer it will hurt them.
Here's the thing you don't want to make an enemy out of Emma Frost. Because she has her own networks of friends of friends of friends who can fuck up Krakoa. And none of it will ever get traced back to Emma because remember Emma was a villain in the beginning. And let's just say a tiger never truly changes their stripes.
I've said this before and I'll say it again. The main reason is their society has is they do not have a president or King. They have to have a singular leader with veto power or else is going to be too many people want to be Chiefs and not enough Indians

You claim that the problem is putting enemies of the X-Men on the council. What you fail to see is that if the x-men don't give those other people a voice, they will turn against the council, as they will feel ignored. You can't just stack a council with all the people who agree with you, that's not how politics work.

Speaking of Colossus and X-Force, Benjamin Percy stated recently that his X-Force is suppose to be tied into Inferno in some aspects.

Unless Charles had the common sense to read Colossus’s mind and could see that something is up with him, he’s made a big mistake. And Emma and Destiny are truly the main ones who need to take the lead in keeping Krakoa safe, imo. Moira cannot be trusted, and by extension, neither can Charles and Erik
They should have never played with someone as cunning as Mystique. The villains are taking over and this would probably explain the return of Sabertooth. Lowkey they could have left him dead but I like this series. Like a mutant game of thrones
This is turning into the spy world, the hall of mirrors. You never know if you are in control or are getting played. Who is really pulling the strings? Was Mystique the only one who stands to profit from Destiny's return? So many questions.

I think Moria will create the cure and take it, taking her powers away. I think that was the future that Destiny saw when she says “Possibly an 11th life if you make the right choices”.
Because if Moria is helping mutantkind why would she fear Destiny?🤔

Brilliant indeed!! I've even thought Destiny needs Moira as an extension of her powers in order to foreshadow /secure existence as when she threatened she would come find Moira... It's as if destiny already knew she'd make a comeback at some point & Moira achieving the 11th life would potentially mean (making the right choice) an alliance to Destiny... Similar to how Moira changed her mind about TRUST towards Emma Frost where B4 Moira was adamant of anyone knowing about her, Moira might change her mind about Destiny, begin to play he cards right, and perhaps even join the quiet council, exposing herself, her truth & experience in order to get everyone's trust... What's that saying... Keep your friends close and your enemies closer...

My favorite characters doing the Hickman run is Emma Frost Destiny Mystique Exodus Moria Synch Domino and Sinister and Nimrod.

Thinking of Omega Sentinel...maybe She has a portion of the Life 9 Omega Sentinel in Her because of Rasputin taking off Xorn's helmet unleashing the black hole.
I think there was something there with that Black hole. Maybe Omega can experience things sort of like what happened with Nebula in Avengers: Endgame where Her past self started experiencing the memories of Her future self.
Concerning Emma...Emma should have been brought in from the start.
I personally think Emma should be the one to head Krakoa... Emma and Destiny.
Emma and destiny would be a pretty sweet duo. Irene informing Emma of all the possible threats coming and how the mutants fail to prevent or overcome it. And Emma actually listening, planning, and executing the necessary actions to overcome those threats properly thanks to Destiny’s knowledge. Hell, if they never even resurrected Irene, Lactuca is RIGHT THERE.
Great commentary! I thought the same thing bx Omega & Nimrod procreating the highest level of machines & threat to krakoa. I think Emma is going to want to secure the children of Krakoa learning from the past ( Moira's knowledge) and guaranteeing the best future (Destiny's precog) & taking a higher leadership role (the majority of the council) alongside Kate Storm Mystique Destiny Night Crawler Exodus. When Destiny tells Moira of her possible 11th life based on making the right decisions i believe Destiny is referencing Moira deciding to trust Emma as we notice Moira do in this comic.
@@911awakening exactly! I think Moira's biggest mistake was keeping Destiny away. I think Destiny would have been proud of Krakoa. Even now I think the only issues She'd have is all the secrecy being kept.
Is Moira stuck in a time loop? Like no matter what, if she dies she starts back from the beginning? Say she made the mutant race prosperous and dies, that means it was all for nothing because she starts over again.

I'm not fond of writing Xavier like he's a villain. Has the professor made some hard, questionable, selfish, and disastrous choices... hell, yes! That said few on the council have not. I'm not saying Xavier wouldn't do xyz thing but the writers need to give him the self awareness to know that he might be tainting "paradise" to make it his version of perfect. I don't like plot holes to make a story work, giving a 3 dimensional character a 2 dimensional motivation is an unacceptable plot hole. They have Moira looking like a straight up villain... no different than Magneto or Emma have seemed, no less selfish as Mystique, and just because she's not Shaw or Sinister doesn't mean she isn't looking pretty bad.
Deep down Professor X and Emma Frost aren't too different.

Goes to show that mutants can be as pity and greedy as humans. That maybe they're not as evolved as they brag they are. Destiny probably used her power to guide Mystique on what to do, like knowing the other person's deck of cards before the game started.

I really wish Mutants would just leave Earth completely and terraform more of the solar system ... Like Venus, the Moon and the Asteroid Belt.
I was thinking about Venus. . . But it being made of gas and all, possibly having a Helium3 core, maybe not good idea. Mars was clearly the best option, and Magneto bringing in a core from the Kuiper belt and the Arrako mutants literally giving it an eco system was key. I just don't see that being a feat on a planet that is literal Methan atmosphere and a Helium3 core...

Destiny maybe need to be Blind for her Powers to be more Accurate . Like when the Beyonder gave Daredevil his Sight back it messed up his Radar Sense. He couldn't use his Rader Sense right so asked the Beyonder to make him blind again .
In krakoa everyone can be resurrected with the physical treaty they wanted and powers work as always.
Let them fight... Moira X VS Destiny. One on one, to the death. No powers.
I'm glad that Destiny is actually back and not just a shapeshifter pretending to be her. And I seriously hope that this event really does shake up Krakoa because this entire era has been spinning its wheels for far too long.

Is Krakoa keeping Destiny from seeing the future? I like how Mystique is kept at a level where she still has no power, Xavier of all people should have known what she would do.
Mystique can't mimic powers only appearance. What if with those chimera mutants her power was combined with sync?

I find Kurt's vote a little weird I know Mystique is his mom but when has he become so devoted to her wishes after all the bad she's done? I also find Colossus as their choice interesting because I can't see any hidden benefit of having him on the council that would give them an edge over Destiny and Mystique.
It makes sense after Way of X. Kurt “found his way” and is now fully onboard with Krakoa and what it promises. So to me, him wanting his horrible mother to finally have some semblance of happiness in her life is him thinking she can also find her way in life and maybe be less horrible
Of course there's a benefit hidden there for them. Colossus is there just because Xavier and Magneto wants more X Men to have their votes on their side inside the council. Storm Kitty and Kurt usually vote everything they say. If they really wanted to add a mutant leader, Callisto would be there.
Nightcrawler disappointed me by making such an unwise decision. He voted to let Destiny in the council solely based on affection for his mother instead of voting for the greater good of Krakoa. Density is a great choice as a council member but she lacks experience seeing how long she’s been dead. She needs more experience in order to adjust to modern times. That said, I’d like to see Destiny and Madame Webb join forces to save mutants and their future.
What more experience than seeing all possible outcomes of past present and future🤔 destiny even sees & learns of Moira's potential 11th life. I believe in order to keep Moira on check, Destiny might be on board w proposing Moira join the council... The old saying keep your friends close & your enemies closer.
Destiny’s foresight is limited to major events. Her foresight won’t activate every second like when she needs to navigate an iPod. 😉

Peter is strong but if they were looking for power then Iceman level would have been more on par. They were looking for a Yes man.

Exodus really needs to come to the forefront now that Apoc is gone. Why can't Charles just kill Destiny? He could easily wipe her mind and put her in a coma. Blame it on the Precogs and resurrection. Wasn't Destiny's placement on the council come at the cost of Mystique loosing hers?

That's the obvious direction, to me. I'm hoping we get a plot twist with Destiny proving Moira wrong & ending up as the savior of Krakoa.
Unless she’s being influenced by something it’s really against her character to betray everyone. When it comes to mutants she always has sided with them. She left a whole bunch of diaries to help in certain situations that she knew she wasn’t gonna be around for and In some instances she put the mutant race ahead of mystique. In the end she’ll do whatever she has to in order to secure safety for mutants but especially for rogue and mystique
They need a powerful mutant villain to wipe all this shit..aoa

How did Hope bring Destiny back without a telepath in the room nor realize that Mystique was not Xavier? Once Destiny was back, wouldn’t the Cerebros srart backing her up- wouldn’t Xavier have known about the new back up of a being he had worked so hard to extinguish…?

2. Why would Xavier monitor Cerebro? Cerebro's primary job is to copy+paste mutant minds, it seems to work fine without being monitored.
3.I kind of assume this is a timeline thing. Mystique resurrecting Destiny, decision to delete back-ups, Destiny resting and then making herself known.
@@zaphkielmorningstar4883 yes, there are other telepaths on the island, but not any telepathnis allowed to be part of the ressurection procedure. Cerebra is supposed to work with telepaths, so Mystique can change her shape but not her power set to be a telepath. Cerebro has multiple functions, but Xavier at the time was not allowing precogs to come back- so Destiny’s presence would have stood out in the landscape.
I don't like that Destiny is back. Things always get super murky when she is involved.
She's a headache no one needs.

No but there’s enough people on the island that have the power of telepathy for her to tap into and mimic. She has pretty good range being omega and all.
I thought Hope and Synch both had similar powers? Not totally the same but damn near…
@@iii1nch3siii oh yeah, they’re both very similar. As far as we have been shown, hope can only mimic/amplify mutant powers with an omega amount of power behind her abilities. Sync on the other hand can copy the ability of any superhero being (like rouge can) but has a few limits such as showing crazy higher/boosted powers he’s mimicking (although still pretty powerful himself). It hasn’t shown him able to mimic like ten powers at once like rouge or hope so far but I bet he could
@Plush Therapy and I think rogue can give them both a run for their money. She’s able to copy any super powered being(permanently if she wants), no longer needed to touch them to do it, can also take straight up life force from them and she’s shown to find certain memories she wants/needs just by touching them. All that added to the Super strength, invulnerability, agility, senses, and flight she’s permanently gained from wonderman. She just doesn’t have that omega level boost behind the powers she copies that Hope has
You know this whole destiny's situation is pretty simple you used the laws of Krakoa against her. Because remember no precogs are supposed to be resurrected mystique went against the law. And what happens to people who break the law they get sucked into the abyss with sabretooth. so Mr sinister and mystique and destiny will just get sucked underneath the island and will never have to deal with them ever again case closed.
These x-men stories make les sense every issue.
