This needs to be replayed fresh, September 1st, 2022; major rivers across the world are at record low levels, glaciers on vanishing, we consume 5 grams of plastic a week, youth unemployment in China is 20%, India is 28%, we're all being watched big tech, it's clear we're headed in the wrong direction.
O'leary doesn't seem to understand that economics is a subsystem of the human experience, and that humanity is a subsystem of the planet. To O'Leary, money is everything. He doesn't see anything outside of his very narrow worldview.
I think Kalle Lasn managed, maybe, for a brief moment, to remind O'Leary that there is a whole world that exists outside of the temporary illusion that is the world of money. Maybe.

O'Neal can't be blamed for being myopic, but he is a good example of the mind set, in the present consumer driven system.
I'm somewhat vindicated in my world view, by watching this piece, as I have been touting the power of a grassroots revolution for many years now, amongst my family and friends.
For me, nothing less than an Icelandic solution will do, but I'll take any positive change meantime.
