crush drums never seizes to amaze! i have the acrylic set, and love them!!!
Cool to see Matt on the Vid...excellent stuff!
GREAT VIDEO GUYS!!!
Just bought the kit today, can't wait to tune it up :)
Great video im totally sure that in a couple of years you guys are going to be in the top of the drum market, higher than now, the more i hear your drums, the more i love it, Terry you nailed it man! its good to see a young, fresh and outstandind new drum company!
Ive played a Chameleon birch kit at my local drum shop.....AMAZING. I hope you guys know I support you 100 percent!! You're a GREAT company. And I plan on definitely being the proud owner of a CRUSH drum kit soon!!!
@THATGUYTHATBLASTS Thanks so much! That means a lot to us. The support from our Crush family is what keeps us going.
This guy is CRUSHing those drums!!
after seeing these videos and looking at your drums, im proud to say this is where my next couple paychecks are going lol. i was looking at a big double bass set but these sound so much better...im excited for my crush drums!
Yes. Now is the time is such a great song...
I love the sound of those cymbals. Istambuls are awesome. Wish they were sold more often here in the states.
@yaryllib Thanks for your support!! Here is a breakdown of the mics used. All of the drumming heard in this vid is of Matt playing the Chameleon Ash kit. He played to tracks.
DPA4011 on overheads, Josephson e22 on snare, ATM25s on toms and a D112 in the kick.
Kick mic had some eq while tracking, normal settings.
No compression on anything or eq on anything else.
No gates on toms.
Matt Brown is so awesome
I've been playing Ludwig drums for about the last 18 yrs. but would not hesitate to purchase this kit. Great sounding drums and The Crush drum company seems to want to give drummers a fresh sound w/ fresh innovation. Crush has definitely got my attention!
@blakemeche The Sublime kits will be well worth the wait- we promise you! Thank you so much for supporting Crush!!
Saw the new website!! AMAZING. CANNOT wait til' the carbon fiber and fiberglass kits come out!!!
@THATGUYTHATBLASTS Thank you so much for your support!!
pretty awesome!!!!!!!!
great drums and great Istanbul Agop cymbals too !
I like Matt brown man, Hes the man!!
I had the pleasure of working with Matt on tour, as well as selling him drums for 5 years. Most drummers hit stuff 'till they find something that sounds good. Matt takes it a step further and obsesses over the mechanics. We've talked about bearing edges for hours... so Matt looks for drums that were MADE to sound good, and didn't just get lucky. If Matt likes 'em, I'm sold. (Check out some of my vids to see Matt in action with previous bands.)
Hey Crush, been researching you guys for a bit and I'm definitely liking what I'm hearing and seeing. You guys wouldn't happen to be in the works of creating a video with the bop set would you? Super curious about the sounds you guys can get out of a bop kit. Thanks
ive seen 10 years like 3 times this year... listening to his drums live is why I want to buy crush lol
@CrushDrums Thanks guys! We're trying! Can't wait 'til we can do a video of the Acrylic kit when it comes in! Seemless? At the price? Jaw dropping!
I'm falling in love with these drums. I really like the sound of the ash kits. I had a DDRUM kit that was all ash with the 20x20 bass & 13x7 snare & absolutely loved it but the hardware wasn't so great. It looks like you guys at CRUSH are putting a LOT of effort into every aspect of the kit which gives me a lot of respect for this company. I was wondering though if Matts kit was miked in this video?
@deckzeroek If you expand the description above you can see exactly what was done in the studio. Nothing was sampled in this recording. In the future we will be posting isolated recordings of our drums as well. Thanks so much for checking out our vid!
I have the suboimemaple on order from Scotts drum center. I wish I didn't have to wait so long.... Excited.
haha i love 10 years! the drums sound great too. :]
@uppercut747 Ash add on toms are already in stock and add on bass drums in 20,22,and24 will be arriving soon!
Man those are the best sounding ash shells i've ever heard, I'm torn if I should order this kit or wait for the sublime maple/bubinga, decisions decisions
@THATGUYTHATBLASTS Thanks so much!
dude thats freaking sick. but wats that stacker u have over there? i love that sound
The punch, ohhh my goddd...
GO MATT!! woot social ghost. Last time I saw you perform was with headlining for ACDC. you go man
I cannot believe how more than fair price is set for this kit. Too bad the hardware is not available in chrome, but this video may have changed my mind on what to look at getting.
Did anyone else notice sometimes when he was playing, he had a Crush Hand Hammered Snare but sometimes he had a regular Crush Ash Titanium Roll Black Finnish Snare?
I've been sanding bearing edges to 2000 grit and waxing since the 70's
8 x 12, 16 x 16, 16 x 18, 20 x 22, both snares I believe are 6 x 14. This set costs around $1050. The cymbals are Istanbul Xist and Istanbul Alchemy. Idk what kind of ride it is. The sound destorted is the bass drum (to make it louder)
Such a shame that there are no UK dealers, currently. I'd love to check some of this stuff out in person!
Might own a CRUSH ash kit very soooon !!!
What kind of stand is he using for the ride and other crash?
@masterofhi50 We don't make cymbals - and thanks for the compliments on our drums! :) Everyone likes very different sounds in cymbals... such is the spice of drumming.
kit sounds awesome is the bass drum a 22x18 or a 22x20 ?
Is it compressed? or you're just capturing the sounds with the microfone? anyways, it sounds AMAZING, specially the bass drum
Ive been eyeing this kit for awhile now. I have a ddrum special series black fade purple to pink.. But its pretty big and im out of space to play it. My dad currently has the dealer which posses crush drums in montreal for his store, and ive wanted to buy the green one. He doesnt have the price list yet, how much does the green go for?
damn i have to say, Crush and dw are the only accustic drum company that really impresses me after playing a dw for 5 years. and not really knowing about crush until recently, i would say i probably would go with crush, due to better prices, and still they give great attention to craftsmanship and sound. I really like this ash wood idea. I am playing on Birtch, and what this guy said "birch on steroids" very true!
great drums, keep em coming, and hopefully one day ill be on one
peace
Godd! I wish Crush have a dealer in Turkey. Seriously.
@CrushDrums hey crush, when will your M1 hardware series be availible, i was hoping to get a new double bass pedal for xmas
@dragonboy2992 Hey there! When our acrylic kit becomes available it will be 999 for a five piece kit. We are still a few months away from releasing this particular kit.
These drums sound amazing.....I really want to play one for real. any chance there's gonna be a dealer in utah? if so I will probably sell my old kit for one of these
@CrushDrums Are you going to deliver drums internationally? It seems like i really want to test them out, here in Denmark.
Hand Hammered Copper...man, I would kill for that right about now
where can u get interchangable lugs i wanna get red with the black chameleon ash
The sizes are actually 8x12, 15x16, 16x18, 18x22. The ride is a 22" Istanbul Traditional Medium Ride.
where can i buy cases for your drums? I'm looking at getting the Chameleon Birch 5-Piece and the drum sizes dont fit most case packs
This is going to be my 18th bday present. I'm determined.
@MrDROPSHOT9 Istanbul Cymbals. A mix of Xist (10" spalsh, 15" hats, 20" crash), Alchemy (18"& 19" Power X Crahses, 20" Custom Rock Crash, 20" Power X China), Traditional (22" medium Ride"), & Turk Series (16" China stacked on top of 20" Power X China).
What you are hearing is just the mics with just a small amount of limiting on the entire video. Read the description for details.
What exactly does he mean by waxed bearing edges? The only time ive ever heard of waxing bearing edges was for the drumline snares.
is there an authorized dealer in los angeles? id love to buy one of these kits...
Awesome drummer by the way!! Haha
@explorerspercussion Thanks to our friends at Explorers!!
Took a look at Matt browns webpage, talk about a humble individual, drumming at 4 hrs old. Anyways, there are some awesome pics of him on this kit live on stage with a killer front "10 years" bass head
what hardware was he using how much are yalls hardware i need some stands and double pedals??
Sublime Maple kits will be around $1000 street price for a 4 piece. Sublime Maple Tour will be closer to $1300 and Sublime Bubinga for around $1500. Thank you.
@KyleBlock2142 how does a kickport help?
any word on you guys getting set up with an authorized dealer in utah?
Hope my local dale's scrum shop will carry crush drums
Where can I get a black kit like this?
You guys need to get a dealer in Illinois, and if I could reccomend,The Drum Pad, in Palatine. They have a pretty good rep, especially with working with some big names in the drum industry.
Do these drums even need to have dampeners put in them or even need dampener rings?
may i ask how much the hand hammered copper snare is, and how much the hand hammered brass snare is?
What snare was used when he was playing Now Is The Time? Is it the Ash snare or brass (I believe).
@CrushDrums Only 1k for an acrylic kit!?!?!? Question though, will it be 4 piece with two rack or one rack and a snare?
@raivok55555 "Now is the Time" by 10 Years
i want the sweet sublime maple (Lime Green Stripe) kit thats on the website...it looks sooo glorious haha
Now is the Time (Ravenous) by 10 Years.
Is that the hand hammered bronze, or brass snare?
@MrDROPSHOT9 Istanbul Cymbals. A mix of Xist, Alchemy & Traditional Series.
When will that be?
Whats wrong with the tom mount?
What song is Matt Brown playing in this video?
Can I know the price of your acrylic kit? :) really interested in buying
Now is the time by Ten Years
Whats the name of the song he was playinh? Thanks
Can you give me a rough estimate of how much the carbon fiber snare would cost
what system was the drum mics sent to?
what bass drum head is he using?
@beastlyninja1 go with the birch set if yer on budget. Still a great set
Whats the Song please !!
i have to get it but i wont buy until i have enoiugh to get the 10 x 7 at the same time.
This guys needs a kickport :D that would make the bass sooo amazing
what kind of endorsements do you offer?
@narutoboy951 that is a 16" Istanbul Turk China sitting on top of a 20" Istanbul Power X China
@2987Rome Hey Rome! If you want your kit to sound just like Matt's you need to change your heads. If you expand the comment section here on this video you can see exactly what he is using. Also pay close attention to tuning. The drumheads you use and the tuning will obviously greatly affect the sound of your kit.
this defiantly looks like a nice upgrade from my Ludwig accent custom, which is a great kit don't get me wrong, but these look incredible for the $900 musicians friend is selling it for
@deckzeroek Check out crushdrum . com today- we just launched our brand new website to get more info. Feel free to contact one of our dealers to get pricing. Sublime Maple and Bubinga will be available in less than 2 months!
I might add that the 12" tom can be veary effective is used as a floor tom
I NEED SHORT TOM LIKE 6X10 AND 6X12 AND 7X10 AND 7X12.
@punkrockguilt1 We are working on some dealers in CA as we speak. If you aren't already, join our facebook and we will announce new dealers in uncharted areas all throughout this month.
