As usual, any sports list by WatchMojo is disappointing and predictable.
1) Messi’s 91 goals in a calendar year and 8 ballon d’ors
2) CR7’s all time goal scoring record
3) Wilt chamberlain’s 100 point game record
4) Steph Curry’s 3 point record
5) Michael Jordan’s 10 scoring titles
Joe Dimaggio's 56 game hitting streak. If Ted Williams couldn't break it, no one ever will
Who did he play against?
How is Wilt Chamberlain not on this list? He only holds 72 NBA records.🤔
both 25 rebs per game and 50 ppg more unbreakable then many on this list
72 official records. There are some incredible but unofficial records as well such as the Quintuple Double
No one is scoring 100 in a game. That should definitely be #1
@@shredderhector9261 In NBA but Dražen Petrović scored 112 in the game of Yugoslavia champioship 1984.
@@Dejan-gz6vz Greek league record is 145 and as far as i know there are 2 other domestic records that are above it currently, so what is your point in bringing Drazen up? The man talked about Wilt's NBA record, not any league wordlwide, i dont see the usefullness of randomly bringing Drazen up just to bring him up.
John Stockton as NBA's alltime leading steals and assists leader at the same time is insane
Eh, Wilt Chamberlain holds 72 NBA records, including most points in a game (100, which will never be broken).
Idk about all that imma pass on that body like John Stockton
Simone Biles (USA): 30 career World Gymnastics Championships medals (23 of which are gold).
She would have had more if she didn't decide to go woke like Osaka and Serena for some reason became soft
@@MarkLaw13 Agreed! Simone Biles Is The Greatest Women's Gymnast Ever.
@@MarkLaw13 become soft she about to lead us to gold. You not out there winning for us. You speaking on the GOAT
@@SWANGA247 she, Osaka, Serena had that year where they quit. USA would have gotten gold. Biles quit which led to the team getting silver
Robert Lewandowsky's 5 goals in 9 minutes!
Americans man. They wouldnt know about that.
They even didn't add Messi's 91 goals in a calendar year.
From a global sport perspective Don Bradman's average of 99.94 seems the most untouchable. An almost otherworldly number.
Agreed, however technically there is a player who averages a 136, yet he played on game, all cricket enthusiasts know there's a minimum requirement to be considered great
Hmm maybe, but Sachin's 100 international centuries. No chance.
Messi's 91 goals in a calendar year.
That is a comment from the argetinian gang ^_^
And also his 8 ballon d’or wins will most likely never be broken 🐐🐐
@younglord7772 Ballon Dor is an award it's not an record.
@@Ali_Raza808 have you even watched the whole video??
11 NBA Championships - Bill Russell
18 Major Titles - Jack Nicklaus
3 World Cups - Pele
23 Olympic Medals - Michael Phelps
Those are all awards (the same as the Ballon d’or)
@younglord7772 wtf are you talking about?? They dont award gold medals/PGA titles etc to perception of best player
Let's not forget Nolan Ryan's 5,714 strike out record as well
That's what I was going to mention; unbreakable.
@@scottwaldon7420 someone is more likely to break his no hitter than his strike out record
Rickey Henderson’s stolen bases season record won’t be broken either! 130 stolen bases in a single season!!
Except it’s not the single-season record. Hugh Nichol stole 138 bases in 1887.
Buffalo bills, 4 straight superbowl losses
However. The Buffalo Bills Appeared In 4 Straight Super Bowl Appearances And 4 Straight AFC Championships In The 1990s Despite Every Single Super Bowl Loss For The Bills.
Gretzky’s - and professional sport’s - greatest record is his point totals in his six prime seasons. No player has score 200 points in a season, except Gretzky. From the 81-82 season through the 86-87 he topped 200 points four times and in the two he didn’t he hit 183 and 196. So the record is he was able to AVERAGE over 200 points for six seasons, or roughly a third of his career while no one else to play the game ever reached that level.
To put that in perspective, that would be like someone averaging 104 home runs for six years in a row.
1) Messi’s 91 goals in a calendar year and 8 ballon d’ors
2) CR7’s all time goal scoring record
3) Wilt chamberlain’s 100 point game record
4) Steph Curry’s 3 point record
5) Michael Jordan’s 10 scoring titles
Manny Pacquiao?? 12 time world champion in 8 different divisions, I don’t think that record will ever be broken
Thats what I thought 😅😅
It will definitely never be broken
How about 8 Ballon D'ors? Or 91 goals in a single year?
The great hurdler Edwin Moses won 122 consecutive races, spanning 11 years, and broke the world record 4 times. His domination of the 400 meter hurdles was spectacular.
Only denied 3 because of the USA boycott yes I think ed moses deserves his place
For cricket -Sachin Tendulkar's 34283 international runs , 100 centuries, 18,426 ODI runs, 15921 test cricket runs and Sir Don Bradman's test cricket average of 99.9 . These records will never be broken ( For Watchmojo - Cricket is also a sport and a very popular one indeed )
@watchmojo I thought i'd hear about Brian Lara's 501 runs not out in World Class cricket in 1994 and his 400 runs not out in international test cricket in 2004 in this Watchmojo video. Cricket is a very popular and very serious sport indeed, I hope you have a part 2 of this video
You still have hope from WatchMojo? Wow. I gave up long back!
Yeah Bradman's record is 100% unbreakable. No one is even close.
With the changes in the game I consider it impossible
We Europeans get it, the sports ones on here are the worst too heavily focused on US sports. Always filled with stuff that wouldn't make a list if it was actually worldwide.
The 438 game SA vs AUS, the most combined runs ever scored in a ODI.
Since Tom Brady's 7 Super Bowl wasn't on the list, that's mean they think Mahomes (most likely) could break that record.
Tiger woods was world number 1 for 682 consecutive weeks, if you do the math, that's 13yrs as the number 1 golfer in the world 🤯 unbelievable
They weren't consecutive.
Just wanna say, tiger really messed up his chance at 18 majors…. Everything he did off the golf course will haunt him. Hate to say it, but it’s true..
No. It was 281 consecutive (5+ years) &, 683 total weeks at no #1. Still remarkable
@@redsoxboi1 Nobody seems to give a shit about that.
@@PiyachonYuenyongHYDEI do
Not including Nadal's 14 Roland Garros titles is a crime
Agree!! Not only 14 grand slam, but 112-4 win lose record looks impossible to beat...
Yes, thank you
Exactly
Ty, now I know that I can skip this video
14 finals
14 wins
14 wins all un 3 or 4 sets never 5 sets.
I don't know a great achievement.
stephen currys 3 point records should be on here
Agreed!
Tom Brady’s 10 Super appearances won’t ever be broken.
Yeah it will. Mahomes is already outpacing Brady and he’s a superior player and still has another 12+ years to play.
@@dankairgadam8841
Then you don’t have a clue about how hard it is to get to even one Super Bowl. There’s 32 teams in the NFL all trying to get there and although the Chiefs are the flavor of the day their current run could just as easily end this coming season.
@@dankairgadam8841that’s a lot of sacks and scrambles and core group of players and coaches and teams around him and plays style adaptation as he ages between now and then imo to say “yeah it will”
Missing Wilt's 100 points in a game, and Steph Curry 3 points record!!
Man we need evidence on that Wilt one 😂
You can't include Steph because of the volume this players shoot three and the nba game nowadays, it's possible.
I think someone will break Steph’s record just cuz he changed the game and now everyone shoots the three ball. Even centers…. Doubt we will ever see a center like Shaq again…. Although I feel like Zach edey could be that guy IF and only if he just bulks up in muscle and just play down low. 7’4” is ridiculous and he’s a large guy. So we will see
No one cares with your butt-buddy Curry.
@@redsoxboi1 exactly what I mean
If only Lance Armstrong played fair, it might have been on this list.
You guys should create a channel for the rest of the world.
98% of the people watching American football, baseball and ice hockey live in 1 continent. The rest of us can't relate.
Maybe watch some hockey
To be fair they expanded beyond those sports and included some from other disciplines.
Just do what I do when I see a soccer video... don't watch.
You forgot Manny Pacquiao's 8-Division Championships.
Barry Sanders would have broke Emmits record in 2004 with his average yds per season but Barry being Mr Humble retired way too early
Adrian Peterson probably could have done it too, had he played like 5 years earlier and didnt blow out his knee and lose a year
Emmitt was also on a absolutely loaded team.
He's overrated
Jim Brown would have done it as well and would be the all time rusher according to his average yards per game
why is no one talking about usain bolt’s 9.58 seconds??!!!
because it will be broken
i highly doubt that
@@purpleisrad3409 All individual track and field times will be broken eventually, don't be silly. The technologies improve (better shoes, better track) training improves and diet improves. If you'll notice, no record on this list is about single individual performances, for good reason.
I don’t believe, in my life, I will see bolts or Sydney’s 400 hurdles record fall.
@@adamtravan3946 It just did. You don't think she can beat it again?
Missed out on F1 stats:
1. Youngest F1 winner record: Max Verstappen at 18 years and 228 days.
2. Most wins: Lewis Hamilton - 104* wins
3. Most Grand Chelems/ Slams (Pole position + Leading every lap + Fastest Lap + Race Win): Jim Clark - 8
4. Most Race wins in a single season: Max Verstappen - 19
5. Most number of podiums (percentage): Michael Schumacher - 100% (2002 season)
There are more, maybe @WatchMojo should do a F1 records list?
Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game? Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak? Jerry Rice's 22k-plus career receiving yards? I can't believe those were left out
With the way NBA players are scoring right now, Wilt's record will eventually be broken
Frank Thomas - Thomas is the only player in major league history to have seven consecutive seasons of a . 300 average and at least 100 walks, 100 runs, 100 runs batted in, and 20 home runs (1991-1997). The only other player to have more than five consecutive seasons accomplishing this feat was Ted Williams, with six. /Wikipedia
But that is kind of an arbitrary collection of stats, while impressive aren't really a record. You could also include Bonds having over 500 stolen bases and over 500 HRs
Gretzky's record is by far, the most impressive. It's not even debatable.
For me as a hockey fan it's Tie Domis 45 nhl fights
@@Scubamike4499my favourite domi moment was when that drunk idiot in the crowd taunted him then fell through the glass, into the penalty box and Domi got a few punch in to the face. Classic. Lol
Actually, that would be a good video on its own…Top 10 times when drunken sports fans receive a just beating from professional athletes! Number one…1979 Boston bruins climb into stands and beat the hell out of opponents fans!!! Love a good line brawl and bench brawl, but nothing like an old fashioned ARENA BRAWL!!!
@@marki7661 was that mulberry beat someone with their shoe?
That's the funniest thing I ever saw.
I'd say Cy Young's record is equally unbreakable, especially with these starters going 6 innings per start and pitching on 5-6 days rest.
Funny how this is supposed to be about sports yet we find mostly those that are played by North Americans and nobody else.
1. Bobby Fischer's 19 game winning streak in Chess.
2. Sachin Tendulkar's 34,457 international runs in Cricket.
3. Donald Bradman's test average of 99.94 for anyone with at least as many games played.
4. Just Fontaine's record 13 goals in a single football world cup.
5. Shahid Afridi's longest six in cricket history of 153 m.
6. Muttiah Muralidharan's 1347 career wickets in international cricket.
7. Real Madrid's record extending 15 UEFA Champions Leage titles.
Johnny Vander Meer - 2 consecutive no-hitters
Glenn Hall played 502 consecutive complete games as a goalie in the NHL. In the last 20 years only a handful of goalies have played 70 out of 82 games in a season with the backup goalie playing the other games so the starter gets some rest. Last season only three goalies played 60 out of 82 games with the highest playing 64. There's no chance a goalie will play every game for six straight seasons and then 11 more games.
Rickey Henderson broke the career stolen base record, and then played for 10 more seasons. He has almost 500 more than 2nd place. I think that one is safe.
Not to mention he holds the career record for runs scored and for unintentional walks.
@@michaelnadler596 he really was one of the best ever, it's hard to compare him to the sluggers, because it's so different, but one thing that's not debatable is that nobody was as good as Rickey at what he did. Best leadoff hitter ever.
@@markzuckergecko621 I was fortunate enough to be at the game where he broke Lou Brock's record and at a double header where he lead off both games with home runs (another thing he has the career record for).
Great, great player.
@@michaelnadler596 oh damn, that's awesome. Closest I've come to being at a historic game live is when KRod broke the single season saves record.
@@michaelnadler596 pretty wild that Elly is turning so many heads this year, because he's on pace for about 80 steals. That would be the most in a long time, and he would have to do that every year for almost 20 years to get near Rickey's record.
What about Sébastien Loeb?? Nine World Rally Championships in a row. Most successful driver that have ever lived. I understand that Americans have problems understanding there is something besides NASCAR and F1 but he deserves at least a spot on the list, doesn't he? In my humble opinion of course... and I'm not even French.
The US women's SOCCER team have won 4 World Cups, but, I guess you're just gonna ignore that, huh?
Another team could theoretically come along and dominate the World Cup over the US. Remember that, on the men's side, Brazil didn't win their first World Cup until over 20 years after the tournament's inception. Had anyone in 1950 said Brazil would one day stand alone in World Cup victories, they'd be laughed out of the room.
Yup
Mmm sounds ignorable
No one gives a shit abt womens FOOTBALL like the mens game nor ppl that call it soccer whilst the rest of the world call it football/fûtbol
Phil Taylor's 16 World Championships?
I would sure add Karelin’s 885-2 career record and 13 years without a loss!
Also, Hakuho’s almost every significant sumo record imaginable, the main being 45 Emperor Cups!
Tom Brady’s 7 Super Bowl rings and 600+ touchdown passes didn’t make this list because Patrick Mahomes is the only one to probably reach those mountains sadly in 10+ years.
I'm glad to see inspirational athletes like Michael Phelps and Novak Djokovic. I'd also have mentioned Rafael Nadal's 14 French Open titles.
I couldn't beat those records
Formiga (Brazil) played in 7 World Cups and 7 Olympics!
An honourable mention although one day it will probably fall is Bolt's 100m record. No-one is coming close to that anytime soon.
Damn These are impressive. I just be lucky to win one match let alone win over a 100 😅
Brett Favre consecutive career starts. 321 consecutive starts
Manny Pacquiao 8 world division champion in boxing
When records are done they automatically become breakable, no such thing as an unbreakable record, unless we talking about Don Bradmans career average of 99.94, in cricket terms that may be unbreakable
Barry Sanders would’ve crushed Peyton’s record and surpass anything Smith could’ve put up if he didn’t play on a dogshit team like the Lions. He had to retire before they got him killed or disabled.
Bruno Sammartino’s championship reign. Holding the title for 2,803 days won’t ever be broken.
It's pre determined not actual sports
@@nikhilhembrom8952 No? Really? I actually didn’t know? Ofc it is. But;it’s sports entertainment. Still wrestling. They’re putting their bodies on the line to entertain the fans every single day/night.
23 Summer Olympics Gold Medals By Michael Phelps. Number 1 In The WatchMojo Top 10 Unbreakable Sports Records.
Real Madrid 15 Champions League trophies
Individual accomplishments not team records D a$$
As long as there are sports where you can compete in multiple events, phelps record could be broken, possibly by a swimmer only.
The mlb records for wins, starts, innings pitched, complete games and shutouts will never ever be broken.
We need a part 2 this is awesome let go true sports legends 👏🙌
You missed another huge track record. Between 1977 and 1987, Edwin Moses won 107 consecutive finals in the 400 meter hurdles (122 races in all). The man was undefeated in the event for 10 years. 10 YEARS. Who will ever even approach that again?
Manny Pacquiao 8 division???
Where's MANNY PACQUIAO's 8-Division Championships?? SMH. No one will or can ever do that!
Three more:
1. Wilt Chamberlain 100 points in a game.
2. Joe DiMaggio’s 56 consecutive game hit streak.
3. 1985 Chicago Bears Defense allowing zero points in the playoffs. (And only 10 in the entire post season including a Super Bowl)
Pete Rose's 4,256 career hits.
I'm surprised that Brett Farve's NFL Iron Man streak of 297 consecutive games STARTED did not make this list. That record will never be touched.
You forgot Joey chestnut
Top 20 Unbreakable Sports Records. Finally! Thank You WatchMojo And Thank You Rebecca!
... u know there are other sports than baseball, hockey, football and basket ???
Nolan Ryan's 5714 strikeouts? Pete Rose's 4256 hits? Joe Dimaggio's 56 game hit streak?
Bob Griese Only throwing 6/7 Pass attempts in the superbowl will never be broken
6:48
No!
He played 25 years, from 1979 to 2003.
For nine different teams!
Joe Thomas' 10,363 consecutive snaps will never be broken in my opinion.
Cool. I'd like to see more lists about martial arts.
Chael Sonnen was the undefeated, undisputed champion of 5 different weight classes at the same time, never even lost a round. The "P" stands for "GOAT".
Messi not being here at least once for either 91 goals in a calendar year or 8 ballon d’ors is criminal
Not including Tom Brady playoff records in this list is criminal.
You definitely should’ve included Gretzky scoring 50 goals in 39 games. With how much the game has changed since then, I highly doubt anyone will ever come close to that record.
If the 3 point line hadn't been introduced LeBron would be several thousand points shy of Kareem
LeBron's made 2400 3's and is 2000 points ahead of Kareem, so, he'd be a few hundred points shy, potentially. Though, without the added payoff, he probably would have stepped up and made a higher percentage play, so it's hard to say for sure that he'd still be behind Kareem.
If you eliminate the 3-point line, Lebron trails Kareem by 322 points in 68 fewer games. He’ll likely pass Kareem (again) about 15 games into this season.
Looks like you deleted your responses after consideration... why don't you go ahead and delete your post.
@@JeffreyGoddin no I deleted the posts because I didn't want to continue arguing with dumbasses who can't do simple math
I was looking for the person who lets LeBron live rent-free in their head, we got one!
Nobody could reach more games ever that the "Iron Man" Cal Ripken Jr.
Nobody will beat maravich's ncaa points records. Not in just 3 years. All without the 3 pointer too.
Not including names like Ronaldo, Messi, Brady and the Nadal 14 times at RG is ridiculous
Imagine not putting Rafael Nadal’s 14 French Open titles on that list, such a disgrace honestly
Having Bron's 40k+ points at #20 is straight blasphemy
1979-1984 New York Islanders: Most consecutive playoff series wins (19 consecutive series wins), a record that no team across any major sport will be able to be able to beat.
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! 19:47 23 Olympic medals? Wow..!! @.@
Joe DiMaggios hitting record should be on it .
Pelé's most unbreakable record is 1279 goals in his professional carrer. He is the best ever. In Brazil, he is the synonym of the best: Jordan: "Pelé of basketball". Phelps: "Pelé of swimming", etc.
What about Zagallo????? He is the only one who has 5 word cups, 3 playing, and 2 as the brasilian Trainer
Amazing records! Unbelievable! I think Pele's record could be broken. Leo Messi has 8 Ballons D'or and 6 Golden Shoes. I'm glad you mentioned Nole😁He also has 24 grand slams, the most masters. He was also number 1 since 2011. He started this years as number one for eight years.GOAT😁Great list😁
Cael Sanderson’s 159-0 NCAA wrestling career should also be on here.
Dan Carter, Rugby Union. 1598 International Test points for the All Blacks, 327 ahead of the nearest international player, 864 ahead of the nearest active player
Tom Brady, 7 Super Bowl wins. Why is this not even in your top 20?
And a record that most people forget about: Connie Mack's record of 3,948 career losses as a manager. A manager would have to lose 100 games a year for 40 years to break that record, and I suspect most owners wouldn't put up with that (unless you were Connie Mack and owned your team).
Zagallo, who played alongside Pelé, has won 4 worldcup titles, the last one as coach.
You forgot Wilt Chamberlin's 100 pt. game, which has stood for 62 years and counting.
I think with the extended season in the NFL, I think some of those records are possible
Single season records-yes. Career, not so much. Despite rule changes, nfl players still don’t play that long.
@@stingrey1571 unless you’re Tom Brady lol
@@kevindagame Brady and Rodgers are aberrations.
Wilt averaging more playing time than there are regulation minutes in a game, for an entire season, is never gonna been broken till there are robots playing in the NBA.
I didn’t even look at this list, but the most unbreakable sports record was set about 2 weeks after I graduated from high school. The only reason this record might not get more respect is it is a high school record. But lets look at the record for a minute. Before 1979 the boys high school 12 pound shot put record was just over 72 feet. Before the end of the season Michael Carter had raised it to 77 feet. But Michael had one more meet. In that meet, Michael Carter threw the shot 81 feet, 3 feet 1/2 inches.Even more amazing, Michael still used the old school shuffle pivot and throw method no one uses anymore, preferring to use the discus method that Brian Oldfield began to use in 1975. Know also that Michael could have done much more damage internationally, but he signed an NFL contract with the San Francisco 49ers in 1983. At that time amateur rules would not allow him to keep his amateur status in-track while being paid in another sport. Now let’s look at what Michael did. First Michael raised the record nearly 9 feet in one season. Secondly, he uas now held the record for 45 years and in that time NO ONE HAS COMEWITHIN FOUR FEET OF IT!
You are dramatically downplaying just how laughably unbreakable Cy Young’s complete games actually is. 749 complete games is greater than all active MLB pitchers combined.
It may not belong in the Top 20 yet but Simone Biles’s combined total of World Championships and Olympic medals will never be broken.
Don Bradman has the most significant record : his batting average of 99.94.
The second best cricketer averaged 62.15%...
To put things into perspective, if Chamberlain and Gretzky points records were on pace with Bradman's performance :
1) Gretzky would had scored over 292 points in a season, instead of his actual 215!
2) Chamberlain would had scored almost 69 PPG during one entire season, instead of his record breaking performance of 50.2!
Yes, Bradman was him!
Why no one is talking about Pele's 3 world cup wins, That the most unbreakable records in Football history
Uh...someone DID. That was mentioned (#7)
Pele was good but had great players alongside
Fastest 147 break - Ronnie O'Sullivan
Most goals in calendar year - Leo Messi
Most careers goals - CR7
Most consecutive NASCAR starts - Jeff Gordon
Seeing Petty’s 200 included was awesome! Also Nolan Ryan’s 7 no-hitters was cool too!
Steffi Graf won 66 in a row!!!
9:29 I'm actually surprised by this. I mean I've seen him be number one before but I guess I wasn't really watching tennis that much at the time. I watched tennis more back when Roger Federer was number one in the world for so long and I just assumed that he might have been number one longest.
