EXO really deserve to blow up internationally.......people who don't know them are missing out on so damned much....I've been a fan since a year and I still regret not knowing them earlier.
Alexis Eri yes I feel the same .. sometimes I feel & think it’s such a pity for SM to not “maximize” EXO ..I’m sure they can do much more than “this” with EXO but they don’t ..like they hesitate or they’re pulling back or even “dim” them you know what I mean? It’s too bad for a group as talented as them .. they deserve “more”.. but probably that’s just my thoughts cos I love them too much 😭❤️👍😅😄

Yes same goes to me. I knowing them since their debut but only stan on them middle of year 2017. My bad too late to stan such a great group as them. They're multi talented group ever I know and I also stan to SMs artist! 😊

I'm not talking about sudden viral popularity in US.....I want EXO to be acknowledged and aclaimed as artists worldwide, people to see and realize that their appreciation is deserved.
I think actually EXO was made for International. But, something happened like the past some members left, and it made them change the concept from internasional into like transnational. Eventhough without US or UK or others promotion in internasional.
Looking back in exo first music video and genres their music actually for western-ears, because exo has good in dance, vocal, rap too. They have kris, tao, chanyeol, sehun for rapper. It was so amazing if they become one. Like exo song " two moons" but because there were some member leaving them so it happend. SM actually very regretfull but what SM can do again. It's already happend. I have been being exo fan since their debut. I always following them and I also SM stan so I can say that after I get analyze. I'm so happy and proud of EXO. EXO is THE REAL. INTERNATIONAL CLASS ARTIST. EXO IS EXtraOrdinary Artist. Let's always support them. :))
"Wait" in the "love shot" album is practically acoustic guitar and them singing. And they recorded it on 40 mins.

The guitarist of the group were really talented.. The one with brown guitar (Chanyeol) knows how to play instruments because he was sent in a music school when he was young but with the black (Lay) he never had a training to learn those instrument. They said he has a good ears..
both never went to music school. chanyeol went to "acting school" i think. both self taught

Other members has said this many times in variety shows that chanyeol can play any instrument perfectly after just touching the instrument 2 or 3 times lol ..... his ears are really sensitive and He is a music genius

Chanyeol and Lay were the two playing the guitars and you are correct with your comment about them playing better than you thought they would. I'm going to state this now, I knew you understood what you were talking about immediately with your first reaction, but now I have even more respect for you after your comment during What If and the comparison to my all time favorite musician, Phil Collins.

I totally agree that they should do more studio acoustic versions of their songs! As far as I know they have only done it once with their song love love love, where they released an official acoustic version of the song.

Since you are a guitar guy I really think you would appreciate Chanyeol's cover of Scorpions "Wind Of Change", he plays electric guitar and sings it live in Berlin. It was a special performance he did for the audience since the song was about the historic event of the Berlin wall coming down and unifying the country. Also, since it is such a short video you can add EXO's special stage performance of Sabor A Mi they did during their Mexico concert. they learned a famous song in Spanish and performed it for the audience and Chanyeol plays the acoustic guitar in a traditional Spanish style. It's very impressive! I hope we get to see your thoughts on these short performances since you like they guitar playing. Here is the links for both: @ and @

I swear I've watched this alteady for like a millionth times already but only recognizes Lay and Chanyeol actually play different beat on Moonlight and Lady Luck at some point. Gosh Im proud of myself. Thank you.

What I like about EXO is they cater to different genre. A lot of their producers are around your age btw (at least fr what we've seen so far) and most likely of 80s genre it is evident on exo's music.

The two guitar players (Lay on the left and Chanyeol right) have both been playing instruments since little kids and both also love composing and producing music. Chanyeol especially plays many instruments very well including piano and drums. Pretty sure he was in a little cover band in high school before pursuing music professionally. He's also the best rapper in EXO but has a really good voice ( often kpop rappers aren't taught to sing but that's been changing a lot lately)

In acoustic Seoul Lay actually sang. Have you checked his album Namanana? It's his US debut. Trust us youll be blown away too.

I recommand for EXO "Sa Bor A mi " that was exo covered latin song..
Lay and Chanyeol are both writers and composers lyrically and musically. Lay can also play piano by ear. They both play guitar and piano. Chanyeol also plays drums as well. Baekhyun is also an excellent piano player and I think Chen plays as well. They both write lyrics as well. This is why Exo are so solid as a group and why they can perform so well together. If you get a chance to watch their first reality show Exo Showtime you can see Lay and Chanyeol practicing composing. You can see Baekyun play piano on the concert version of My Answer from their Exodus album.

What a pleasant surprise, you're so good with the names! I really hope you can react to IV of Spades live playing and singing Mundo on the Wish Bus. I want to hear your thoughts on the guitar solo! They made the song themselves (the bassist and main vocalist) and they're all very young. Oh and EXO AMAZING VOCALS (EXTENDED) hehe. There are two official videos for their acoustic session :) one in Japan and this one which was from Korea. They have some same songs and some different songs. No worries about the pausing, most of us have probably seen this acoustic session a couple dozen times haha. Regarding the label, they're doing a lot of things wrong... I'm hoping that the rumored sub-unit will be an acoustic one with Chanyeol and maybe D.O.

One of the thing about EXO is that they are really good with their singing, their ballads are at its best with simple instrumental like Sing For You, Lights Out, Wait, Stronger.

If you watch this part of their concert in multiple cities, you'll see that they changed this up in subtle ways and had a lot of fun with it.
