Redout: Enhanced Edition. Bug: My Ship won't move forwards

Sometimes, when I try to do a random event, My Energy pool doesn't fill during the "3, 2, 1," countdown.
Whilst this is happening, The game seems to forget my "W" & "Shift" keys exist, rendering me unable to move at all when the race starts. Forcing me to pause & Restart. I have to do this 2-3 times before the game actually remembers to fill my energy on countdown, and remember that my W & SHIFT keys exist.
