If you angle the control stick up and away from the way you’re facing as you land, you’ll do a quick turnaround upon landing an aerial so you can turnaround jab faster

Holding the stick down and away is actually the better method,
Only character that gets invalidates by this is Kazuya, the Shotos, and Terry.
slight back (up or down or centered doesn't matter) is a reverse landing on autocancelled aerials and empty jumps, but if you are not autocancelling you still need to wait 1 frame minimum to turn around

@@stephaniecurry45 oh, It's just bc the majority of the characters have their fastest escape option being Airdodge, which is frame 3. So the combo wasn't 100% true, it's just that the opponent's Airdodge won't activate in time. So it's kinda true. That won't work against Characters with Frame 1 escape options tho.
My understanding of the combo counter is that it only says something is true if the opponent is still in hitstun when the attack connects. Against characters without fast escape options (Yoshi, Ryu, Lucina, etc.) you have a few extra frames to hit them until their airdodge invulnerability starts.

Marss do pros rar or attack cancel?
I can do rar bairs no problem, but how do you do them so fast to where you can combo? (i.e. donkey kong dash attack bair, roy jair)
For both DK and Roy, I attack cancel bair at low percents

Actual question lol: I like having fun with dk online a lot but it seems like marss is saying dash is his better combo starter. I normally go for more falling nairs to start a combo. Should I go for more dash attacks?
probably. jumping as dk is pretty committal so i find it's better to approach with dash attack as opposed to aerials. unless you can safely space bair on a character's shield i'd go with dash attack. probs want to use it as a whiff punish or a dash punish though, because dash attack can be shieldgrabbed and stuff.
@@fazereviewsesq.5310 yeahhh that’s why I’ve been so hesitant to use it to start combos cause it’s so unsafe on shield lol, but oh well I’ll give it a try mixing up with grab as well as falling nair (it just feels so much safer might be a habit at this point lol)
@@Pbergloff yeah for sure lol, definitely a low tier problem. jumping can put you in a bad juggle situation cus you're huge, or dash attack can get you grabbed into whatever their combo starter is. i find its better to play dk reactively if youre going to use lots of dash attacks since it's a good move for covering bad landings and bad dashes n stuff. falling nair is definitely safer on shield, esp if you: hit shield -> jab or dtilt. jumping in with that nair can be punished p easily by some characters tho so you really just gotta pick the right time to swing.
