@@swastikafulari6 They ARE actual quotes. The first one is from Half Blood Prince, when Dumbledore takes Harry along to meet Slughorn, at the start of the book.
The second is from Prisoner of Azkaban, when Dumbledore tells Hermione to use the time turner to save Sirius, and Harry is obviously clueless.
The third is from Goblet of Fire when the Triwizard Portkey cup transfers Cedric and Harry to Gaunt's House.
The last quote is from Philosopher's stone, when Harry attacks the troll in the girl's bathroom by jumping on it to save Hermione.

I read the first Harry Potter book with my mum when I was 8 years old. Watched the first movie right after then read the second book by myself in a week. That’s when the addiction started
I’m 18 now
My grandma actually got me the books after years of me riding to read or watch Harry Potter (all my friends loved it) and they sat there for like a year before I ran out of other books and started the first one.... instant obsession 😍
We had an upcoming Florida trip so when I finished the books my dad said i wasn't allowed to watch the movies until we got back bc he wanted me to experience Harry Potter world first... not the most conventional way to do the Harry Potter series but lemme tell you seeing the magic brought to life before my eyes before on a screen was really freaking cool
I wish I had started when I was little bc I missed out on wayyyy too many years of Harry Potter time (I started when I was 12)
I grew up before HP was written and the most common entry point to fantasy novels was The Hobbit.
HP isn't High Fantasy (more like Urban/Contempory Fantasy) but it is probably the first 'fantasy novel' that most children/teens are exposed to now.
I grew up watching the movies and didn't actually start reading the books until way after the last movie came out. I'm still on book four, but I'm hesitant to continue because I really, really disagree with JKR's politics. Especially her stance on trans people (she's a TERF)

Best Harry Potter out of context is “Dobby gets death threats five times a day sir” because that was the first sentence I ever read of Harry Potter and I had no context. It postponed me reading it because it shocked me and kinda scared me. I also thought Dobby was a human girl which made it worse.
