My chance to ride an A220 came a year earlier than expected. Still commonly called the Bombardier CSeries, this aircraft has gotten rave reviews from both casual passengers and airline enthusiasts. Outwardly, I love the fact that it resembles the Boeing 737-200, an aircraft I grew up on. But inside, it boasts decently-sized seats, a fair amount of headroom and large windows, all playing to modern passenger standards; like the Douglas DC-9, middle seats are only on one side of the aisle.
The A220 is replacing the Embraer E190 in the JetBlue fleet due to its improved economics. I rode the exact same aircraft, down to the tail number, on my return flights to DC.
