Ostempeko - the most hated person on the tour. She added to her reputation here. She aimed for and almost hit an opppnent in the face and started laughing,after. Whenever her own teammate hit a ball out she glared at her.

When Ostapenko loses a few kilos she becomes 1% faster for the loss of 25% of her hitting power. Her team has concluded it's completely non-worthy. I agree.

Way better than she was. Not an Ostapenko fan, but you have to credit her for being such a hard-worker. Relentlessly competing in both singles and doubles has seen her improving both her serve and her volley. Actually, she volleys way better when she does it instinctively, without time to think. That's way she nails the hard ones and misses the easy ones.

Krejcikova and Siniakova got lucky this time. If Ludmila Kichenok didn't get injured, Krejcikova and Siniakova would have been soundly defeated. So only Ludmila Kichenok's injury prevented Ostapenko and Kichenok from winning this match. Ludmila Kichenok took 2 MTOs. 1 before first set 8th game and 1 before 2nd set 5th game. Since then it was more or less Ostapenko alone vs Krejcikova and Siniakova, because Kichenok wasn't able to summon her full strength anymore. Anyway Congratulations to Krejcikova and Siniakova on advancing to the Final without dropping a set. Well done. I hope that they will win the Final too without dropping a set.
Nobody was lucky here. Ostapenko was beaten fair and square. Don’t try to mistake “luck” for skill and determination. These excuses are not it
