    • @thomasdude2082
      @thomasdude2082 Před rokem +5

      Biggest difference is in dance you have to dance as soft and relaxed as possible, but in martial arts we need to make every move with full strength and power, so we get more tired in making the martial atrs move.

    • @zebrion5793
      @zebrion5793 Před rokem +1

      Wushu is less a martial art and more of a performance/demonstration of control. They are similar in movements, but very different in intent. Wushu is more about personal expression and fluidity of movement. Martial arts is about form and intent to injure/disable. It's like the difference between Jet Li and Jackie Chan. Both have starred in martial arts movies, but Jackie Chan is not a martial artist. He's great at movements (and he stars in some of my favorite MA movies ever), but in a real fight he wouldn't be as effective. Jet Li, on the other hand, is trained in Shao Lin as a martial monk.
      They are two sides of the same coin. They share a space, but have different uses.

      Of course this is a martial art, origin from Kongfu(also named Wushu), but after long history removed of deadly moves and slowed the speed down, became a self exercise can be learned by all ages. The flowing feeling like water but at the same full of strength is one of the key elements in Kongfu. light as rolling cloud but also got the thunder potential(流云翻转雷霆万钧), you literally can see this feeling in her performance, that’s why she wins the gold.

      It's originally a martial art, but here it's the "competition sport" variant. I wouldn't call that martial but she has lots of body skill. Some of these moves you won't find in a chinese martial art that's not "sport focused" because they don't mean anything in a confrontation. It's a bit like artistic karate if you will.

    yt recommnedations brought me here. saying this because i never even knew such sport existed HOWEVER i could see her strength in just the way she was walking. it's a completely different type of strength gym goers have - usually they look like their arms or their legs are stronger, or they appear with big muscles with not as much strength to them as you'd think they should have tbh.
    she moves like her entire body is made of strength. and she's so graceful, too. it's like she's both fighting and dancing at the same time. beautiful
