Thank you so much for having posted these videos. It really helps a lot by improving my pronunciation and listening comprehension. I really appreciate it.
I, personaly, prefer your channel to learn and practise. Your english is easy to understand. Many thanks! I would like, if possible, to learn more about THIS vs THESE. The correct and possible ways to pronounce them. I've searched, in your channel, for this lesson, but I couldn't find it. If there's already, would you send me the link?
Thank you so so much for this coach shane!! This cancellation has been one of the things that I was really confused about. Thank you for clarifying it!
You said that "th" sound is cancelled, but I still hear it. The "ch" sound changed into something like "sh" Yes! The "j" sound also changed into something like "zh". But when you say the whole sentence I still hear the "th" sound. Isn't cancelled at all?
A short story.... A silly guy watched the Aladdin movie. In the movie a hidden vendor were shouting the street " A new lamp for old!..... a new lamp for old!" .... that silly guy heard like as " A new lamp Farold, or Furrued, or Fooroold"..... None of his American friends were interested in his curiosity when he ask them what is that word farold or furold , etc... The answer form his friends is "Nope, I don't know". Now he's got 11 NOs of different edited dictionary. Thanks Coach Shane!
I do have a question. When you say coach shane do you cancel the ch and coach as you said that similar sounds are together, the first sound will be cancelled by the second sound?
Hi sir I have great respect for you and I hold you in my highest esteem.i have been following your teaching method and learnt a lot.when i watched your video on strong sound s n l and d t th . You had given example with n cancelling d t th like international but you skipped giving examples with s cancelling d t th and l cancelling d t th sound. Can standard be pronounced as sanard and statement like saman.please throw light on it. I am from india . Bow
I personally just think to pronunciate the th sound as more of a d sound, so like: "watchudat" for "watch that" and "chainjud duh" for "changed the" so not quite of an actual d sound but idk, thinking this way makes it easier for me. fyi: I'm not a native speaker, born and raised in Korea 'till 12. and although I think I pronunciate the phrases correctly, I might not. hope this helps :)
I have a question too ~~ is there a cancellation in the examples such as " is - there " and " whats that " ? i often hear native speakers blend the the sound into the z sound , like is-zhere ...
Why when you pronounced "watch that" and "changed the", you didn't put the tip of your tongue between your teeth? Did you put your tongue behind your lower teeth like when you pronounce the d sound??
thank you for answer me!! so you just place the tongue behind the upper teeth with out the air flow, right? just press it like it was a d sound! greetings from Brazil!
Thank you so much for your amazing videos. They help me a lot.

Have you changed the battery ? - it looks so easy.
I have problems with "ed" ends - You "made" it more difficult, but more transparent as well.
thnx
coach how do you say " help out with this"? ...do you pronounce the t in out? i cant hear the t when people say that phrase

hi coachshane I'd like to know about this pronunciation '' yes you can '' that sounded like ( ye shu can )
I have a question too ~~ is there a cancellation in the examples such as " is - there " and " whats that " ?
i often hear native speakers blend the the sound into the z sound , like is-zhere ...

Not behind the lower teeth but behind the upper teeth for both the D and TH sounds.
thank you for answer me!! so you just place the tongue behind the upper teeth with out the air flow, right? just press it like it was a d sound! greetings from Brazil!
Should we cancel”th”sound when we say “what’s this?”
We can!
..ed + consonants is difficult to pronounce.
STOP SOUNDS are tricky!!
That's the phone number. I'm from Vietnam.
