I moved to Greece from the US 32 years ago, and I do not regret it at all.
If you have money greece is the best ... otherwise the worst😅
I am sure your American money helped. I just can't figure out why people on this thread don't get that.
@@kyraleos if you speak to me i am greek ...poor like most of us 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@kyraleos You don't get it. If I wanted money, I would have stayed there.
@@spearokasimis9325 you don't get it !!! I said if you are poor in greece its not a good place ... maybe you got a good business better than usa thats why you like it...😇
Ludmilla learn Greek! This is the most precious gift this country has to offer to someone... The oldest living language in the world!
and the richest one as well... by far :)
I am greek but i moved to the nethelands for economic reasons. If i was making good money in Greece there is no way i would leave the country ever. Greece is the best country in the world the more you explore it.
I have friends and relatives in the Netherlands. They're thinking of selling their property (pay back the loans) and coming back to Greece. With their professional experience they can get good jobs in Greece now, even work from home for foreign companies. You can do that, you know. Get paid a couple of thousand euros per month from a company from abroad and live a (somewhat) good life. Check it out.
greek food is amazing seriously , summer is good winter is magical
Did you do the DNA test? My daughter took a DNA test and we were shoked by the results. We have 30-50% greek DNA and so we decided to visit Greece more often. We live in Romania.😊
Many Greeks lived in Romania even our revolution started from there. Maybe one of your parents is descendant of these Greeks
Maria box,5938,test d,n,a, you look your nose,3,000, years ago lived there Greeks
Big lie !!! There is no dna test to prove origin of country😅😅😅
Many Vlachs in Greece still today, I think they divided early on and migrated north to Romania. Very early possibly medieval times.
Greece always was country with vlachs... thats why there is good food in greece...
I FEEL VERY VERY SATISFIED THAT YOU ARE HAPPY HERE IN GREECE. I WISH YOU HEALTH AND ALL THE BEST.🌷🌷👏👏
What a remarkably beautiful woman. Glad to have you living amongst us.
I just like this girl.. she is amazing how she can describe and follow up her feelings
Great explanation of what to expect. Says as much about Canada as Greece. Made me realize how cold US and Canadian cultures have become.
Me and my family 5 months ago we left Brussels city and we moved to Athens and we are absolutely very happy here
For sure life is good in athens and safe ... but economy tragic...😢
Greece ❤
This lady is definitely in love with Greece and it behoves me to emphasize that I find pointless the protesting remarks by 1-2 viewers about being offended. For instance I love the US but I do not take personally the negative comments about life and other things there. Being offended because Canada is cold and offering a little bit of a regimented lifestyle? Really?
Oh... and you just won one more subscriber!
It's more that she criticizes the country that fed her, raised her, and provided her with Canadian economic means to live her dream life in Greece. If or when things don't work out for the best, you will see how fast she suddenly 'loves' Canada, the everlasting ' Convenient Canadian.' It's not mature, or responsible to be so heavily critical of a country that made her life I would be sure better than what it would have been in Moldova, her country of heritage.
@@kyraleosExcuse me to say this but i don't get your point . To begin with is the country that puts food on the table or your personal work ? By the way you express feels like you imply that canada did a favour to her or her parents . An opportunity for a foreigner is also an opportunity for the country . The foreigner get benefited by the economy and the country by new skills , mindset and ideas. Her criticism over Canada in my opinion is very very light. Nothing offensive. But even if the criticism was harsh or over top what's wrong with that. I am Greek born and raised here . Somethings suck hard. Noone believes in the paradise country where everything is for everyone and perfectly made . Why is so bad to address these things and express how we all feel . You have the freedom to your opinion i am not trying to change your mind. Just a different perspective 😊
@@SympanProductions yes I agree with you, that foreigners also contribute to the country they adopt, but at the same time her life also benefitted in Canada. I just found her assessment wrong and immature. I love Greece too, but my parents and I left when we had no other choice for economic reasons. I love both my countries, and I don't trash either of them. I can be constructively and maturely critical, for both, but both are democratic and fair, which and I am thankful for.
@@kyraleos Well I too don't think her criticism of Canada was as harsh as you portray it to be. She said the weather in Canada is freezing, which is objectively true. Then the social norms/culture is on the 'cold' side, which is also factual. These things are a matter of personal taste.
Thank you Ludmila, I think I might give Greece another chance. Their bureaucracy is like the Wall of China!
Each successive government since the 1970s, competes on how to destroy the country faster. They have done an excellent job.
Thanks for saying such kind of words for Greece.
What kind of job are you doing in Greece?
Amazing video
Moving to the Faliro area of Athens in spring, 2025. I'm from Michigan, so our weather is the same as Canada's 🥶
Hope you're still enjoying Greece! 🇬🇷
What I like about Toronto and North America in general is that people from all over the world are making it happen. When I lived there I experienced goodness and generosity I have never seen in Greece. In Greece the sea, the weather and the food may be great, but I would be careful with the people. The fact that they are obsessed with DNA says it all. Once you leave the expat bubble, you are going to learn a lot.
For her one benfit is compatibility with greek religion and family centered culture.
Being moldavian she would learn Italian very quickly. Romanian language is useful when learning italian not so much with greek.

4:00 do not what happens in Toronto, Ludmila, but in London people are also absolutely packed in the underground in rush hours. Seems like Toronto differs.
Women with your beauty are totally worshiped in Greece!
Toronto was really not like that even 10-15 years back when I lived there. So surprised to hear this is how it's like now, like you can't even stand/sit near someone on the train is crazy.
Toronto is a disaster. Left leaning woke politics, high inflation, high rent, high food prices, high crime, poor public transportation, and nothing interesting to do. Include the corrupt Federal Liberal government that is destroying the country (Trudeau is the WORST Prime Minister in Canadian history). Even Greektown on the Danforth is changing due to "diversity". The Middle Eastern and African businesses are moving in. I don't blame her for leaving Canada.
I live in Toronto and also have property in Greece. She's a kid and is wrong about Toronto. Yes, things have worsen but that's a universal trend post pandemic.
@@robertblue3795 Not so universal in Greece.
We're still not like that, Torontonians are helpful and friendly. Sure, just like other countries we are more crowded, ( whoever immigrates here wants to live in Toronto) and more paranoid post pandemic from being too close to people. As for winter, Toronto is not as cold and wintery as it used to be, due to climate change.
@@despinakyraleos2234 yes I agree that winters have become warmer in Toronto. I remember as a child winters being very cold.
Here's a fun fact.
What is the closest big city in Europe in latitude to Toronto?
Most think it's like Berlin, maybe Paris, but in fact Toronto is closer to Marseilles!
I'm greek and I'm moving abroad in about 1,5 year.
GREECE IN THE 90' OOOOOOO MAN
As an eastern that moved to Germany, i feel like those countries here they have lost their communication with each other cause of the progress they have done and how modern they are . Thats my opinion at least. Eastern european people are more to each other , maymbe its the sun who knows :) . Anyway have fun and keep in touch with people.
You better check your dna love, that face looks pretty familiar, seen it a couple of times on statues.
She definitely can pass for Greek.
My dear if you go to Thessaly and Epirus where there is a large Vlach speaking Greeks you will feel right at home. Fata mushiata!
So you came here with a student visa? And now 3,5 years later under what llegal status are you still here?
Please elaborate on the scam part for your student visa.

Can someone explain to me the words "Greek Expat"?
Greek young and highly educated generation has left or is leaving the country for a better life in developed European countries (and overseas in some cases). Some are estimating the number close to one million. And we talk about people who are not necessarily poor (well not even rich). They just want better jobs, that are also being paid accordingly, and be respected for what they are doing. Unfortunately, for the majority of Greeks, the country is far from having high living standards. It’s Greece’s biggest problem and nobody does really do something. Most of these people do not plan to return, only maybe for holidays…
This is happening in the majority of the south and eastern European countries, they move to Germany, Denmark etc. In Greece, there are still also hundreds of thousands of us who will stay here no matter what and try to fix our country, so stop spreading misery.
FROM THE ABOUT 500.000 GREEKS THAT WENT TO OTHER EUROPEAN COUNTRIES FOR ECONOMIC REASONS ,OVER 50% OF THEM RETURN THE LAST 3-4 YEARS ACCORDING TO STATISTICS. I KNOW A LOT OF THEM ,FAMILIES, THAT CAME BACK TO GREECE.
Leaving your country for any kind of reason is already a failure
I want to teach you greek Ludmila
So what’s considered a decent livable monthly wage for Greece?
It depends on where you live, but I would say around 1200€ for a single person. 1500€ if you want some leeway or some extra money for non essentials.
She is wrong about Toronto. There's so much to unpack here.
Like what? I live in NY and I've been to Toronto multiple times. The only thing going for you there is Greektown.
@@andrewmichaels5725 Ive lived in Toronto for over 55 years. I have property on a Greek island. I've studied twice in Europe.
I know what kind of experience she's had in Toronto and that is not what Toronto is about. I live in old Toronto where neighbourhoods are the defining characteristics. Toronto is a cold aloof place for newcomers. It takes time and effort but once you find your community it can be a rich environment. I can go on and on.
I can also go on and on about Greece where I've been visiting for close to 20 years. We are deeply connected to the village community in Greece. It's our second home.
The problem with Toronto is that it is in that left-wing socialist Trudeau hell-hole called Canada
@@robertblue3795 Well your case is extraordinary. Not many have the chance to move between 2 places so different/distant, and reap the unique benefits from both. So...
Youre so beautiful, hope to meet you someday!
what a beautiful young woman , i would love to meet you and show you around Greece
Girl,Noone is allowed to touch here either...dont know who told you is ok 😅

Greece is good for vocation but the only thing I don’t like if you live there you feel the racism im talking from experience….
