    Windmill method is solid for indoor exercise! Great for creating good muscle memory. Thank you.

    I'm a 3 handicap and this is exactly whats wrong with my shots that are lacking a compressing strike like I used to. Very well done. Golf requires continual maintenance all your life.

    I like that you you actually showed us rather than talking too much like other teachers.

    Another great lesson John in how to turn in the golf swing.

    Jon! An excellent explanation of the role the right shoulder should play in the downswing! Something I am working on!

    Another good video and fine explanation. Easy to understand, and just as easy to go work on. I think it’s time for another swing analysis. Thanks Jon. I’ll be in touch soon. Sincerely, alan

    Best drill ever for EARLY EXTENSION!!!

    This drill/idea has helped me so much, but for me, I feel that my right shoulder moves over the top of the ball.

      Great feel for someone that gets the club stick behind them, trail shoulder too much down. Glad the videos helped 👊🏼

    What does the right side do in reaction to the right shoulder going up and back?

    • @TruGolfAcademy
      @TruGolfAcademy  Před 2 lety

      Just creates a stretch from trail hip to trail shoulder, hip comes up and back also but less than torso / shoulders. Therefore a stretch created.

    How would you change this for the driver John?

    • @TruGolfAcademy
      @TruGolfAcademy  Před 5 lety +1

      Nothing really, same feeling, just shoulders won’t be as tilted as further from ball, hands a little higher.

    Doesnt the down swing happen by just releasing the energy stored from a proper back swing coil? In other words at 3 sec per swing on ave, proper coil will take care of the strike more than any other?

    • @TruGolfAcademy
      @TruGolfAcademy  Před 5 lety

      The backswing definitely helps but I’ve seen many a good backswing with poor down and vice versa

      We only have less than 0.2 second from downswing to impact.

      What I mean is time is very short for downswing, even a super athlete need about 0.02 sec. to start a muscle action depend on how far to transmit.
      We only have time to finish about 6~9 muscles movings, ONE by ONE just like a computer CUP.
      We have to concentrate the actions focused on same side on neighboring part, and had better avoid to change the side.
      Balance reactions are the only free meal, we have to take advantage of that to finish the passive reactions.

    Hello Jon great vlog once again can you do one on back arc played to day bottom of back was arced but the top felt hunched but it wasn't. When you look at Tommy Fleetwood he does look hunched in his posture at the top of his back any thoughts please is it are shoulders just hanging a lot of good players look like it

      Thanks Carl, the more I coach the less worried I am about set up spine angle, most good players extend a little in backswing and great more front bend on downswing but having the spine dead straight doesn’t worry me. I’ll think about a video!

    I basically discovered this by accident during my years of trial and error . Somehow I got the idea to take my arms and hands out of the equation and hit the ball with my right shoulder.
    I pretend there is a clubhead attached to the outside of my shoulder and I concentrate on hitting the ball with the clubhead in my shoulder. WOW!! Took my game to a whole new level.
    As long as your tempo is smooth and you don't try to kill the ball, and you make sure you have a nice full wrist cock, it's just about impossible to hit a bad shot .

      TruGolf Academy let me try another way to say it. Assuming this action is done correctly, is there a need to consciously flatten the club coming down?

  • @bradjunes1610
    @bradjunes1610 Před 4 lety

    Your shoulders are so open at impact---I can't subscribe, but thanks.

    • @bradjunes1610
      @bradjunes1610 Před 4 lety +1

      Further into the video you are swinging a club and your shoulders are almost square to line at impact.

    • @TruGolfAcademy
      @TruGolfAcademy  Před 3 lety

      Shoulders maybe square but torso open and hips further open. I would like more. Majority of elite get there rose 20 degrees open and hips 45 (shoulders often will spear square even when torso is open. I would definitely give people the feel of allowing body to open
