i just did this hike this weekend. You saying you got to the top in ONE HOUR and 15 minutes is absolutely insane. I almost don’t believe it
This trail was special for me as while climbing up, I heard a loud crack and turned around to see a massive rockslide. It was terrifying and captivating.
Greatest hike ever. I met my wife at the top just below the bridge.
lol no way???
I met a squirrel at the top 😂. Congrats if your story is true
@@Antzzz_ManzzzThanks. Just celebrated 27 years with her last week. We met at the top of Yosemite falls, got engaged in the meadow below El Cap and were married in the Yosemite chapel.
@@brianyockey2674 bravo my brotha 👏🏼. I was at Yosemite this past weekend and this is second time in a month. I’ve almost hiked all of Yosemite except Half Done/Cloud Rest which I’ve planned to do in September. Congrats to you and wife amazing story 🙏🏼❤️
I remember this being a tough hike even when I was young and in shape. And then I remember coming back down at a stupidly reckless speed.
Good video brotha 👍🏼
Just did this hike with some friends earlier this week. Had no idea how hard it was gonna be and we had all of our camping gear for two nights (30-40ish lbs of gear). Hardest thing I’ve ever done. Well worth it and have great memories now!
Glad you made it!
This trail has beautiful views, though I feel the best views are about a mile from the summit so if you get tired out, turning around before reaching the top is a viable option as you won’t miss much. Certainly a stunning trail though.
I can't disagree more. The top of this trail is incredible.
Sounds like a fair review. 4 mile trail directly on the other side of the valley that leads to Glacier Point gives your a variety of views that make that trail worth the hike. But bear in mind that the name 4 mile trail is misleading. That's just the distance to the top. More like 8 or 9 mile trail.
Very true. I just did the 4 miles trail last weekend and your dead on
The difficulty is that by the time you get to the upper section, in that steep notch with ten thousand steps and not a hint of breeze, the sun is beating right down on you and there is no way to get out of it. That's where a lot of people give up but you're almost there so don't. And definitely go down to the lookout. There are solid handrails all along it's not that scary.
I’m think I’m going to Yosemite sometime soon. I want to do half dome and Yosemite falls. Maybe el cap. This is a great video. I’m a big fan, I hike all of the time and I’m a big coaster enthusiast. Keep up the good work.
Great to hear, thanks for watching!
Yosemite falls is 6-8 hrs hike while El Capitan is full 12-14 hrs but both are worth it
No wonder National Parks etc have so msny disappearances and missing people. Theres so many ways to put yourself in position to end up fubar. Especially if alone or if you fall behind. Not to mention abductions.
Thank you so much for the information on this trail!! I came looking for a video because I saw a photo of that last little cliff-side stairway and was worried it was like that the whole way!!! Your video was excellent and easy to understand, great review!! I'm headed there on Tuesday!!
I remember me and my cousin doing this and going up in about 3 and a half hours and we were down in about 8 since we kiiiiiinda lost our way 🤣🤣🤣
I just did the hike. The down was slippery with sand over hard cobbled rocks and big steps. 3 hr up, 3 hr down for us. BRING MORE WATER THAN YOU THINK YOU MIGHT NEED!! On the way down almost everyone was out of water and complaining of thirst by the bottom. I recommend 2-3 liters.
It was complete opposite for me 3 hours to the top and 1.5 to get back down
The Yosemite falls trail was f*cking difficult. ;'''D
Yeah, that was tough 😆❤️
I’m in shape and was dead tired afterward. My gal she almost died of exhaustion afterward 😂
Top of the falls is no HD Mist Trail hike
Nice job. Maybe lower your WPM (Words Per Minute).
