My sister just acquired a Mon. Peru under the name "green galaxy." I have the Standleyana and the Epi Pinnatum albo. Both acquired within a few weeks if each other. So far, so good!! I have the Monstera Peru and I really love it, it has beautiful leaves that are so great looking. The Monstera Albo is on my wish list. I don't own monsteras at all for many of your reasons and they generally get huge and take up loads of space. I think they are beautiful though but not for my home space and all. I felt your alternatives for each of them were spot on. I do enjoy my moonlights and exotica trailing in my pots because they have been trouble free, no pests and a real pleasure to sit and watch them grow :))
I love my monsteras so much but I understand why you don’t like this ones in this video 🥲 One alternative for Monstera Perù that I have that is a Monstera is the Pinnatipartita! It’s a slow grower but less likely to put out runners and matures more quickly 😊 Also Monstera Lechleriana triggers me so hard. That plant hates life I swear! They are so difficult to propagate and extremely prone to rot. Don’t ship well either. Mine rotted on me almost immediately since it was in shipping shock and didn’t stabilize in water. I want to try again but I’m thinking maybe a full plant instead of a cutting.

I think the dubyia is stunning and I don’t think I’d mind the shingling but I just don’t like poles in general. I do. Have my lone monstera on a leaning tower of a pole. It needs a second one and I dread having to unpot and straighten out so I can get it on a second pole. I dread it but I’ll have to admit that it’s a beautiful plant. Nearly four feet tall.
Do you have to use an actual pole/plank that the roots attach to, or will having it twist around a hanging wooden bead garland work for the Monstera peru to get bigger leaves?

I would say instead of a monstera peru get an monstera standleyana and instead of the standleyana get a vatiagated epipreminum pinatum The growth pattern and leaf shapes are more similar.

The radicans cross with the Luxurians does have pretty leaves.

Have you tried repotting the albo? They're super resilient, you just might need better soil 😊

As long as the plant is attached to something and can sense that it's attached, it will grow bigger.
