The Börje - Salming chanting gave me goosebumps. I am moved by the affection and respect the hockey society in Canada has given Börje lately. To tell the truth, he has been celebrated more in Canada during his sickness then he has been in media in Sweden. The people of Sweden loved him to no ends.
    RIP Börje.

As a Swede I couldn't be happier for the fantastic send off Börje got before him passing. He'll will always be the greatest, the King! May you rest in peace Börje ❤

I grew up on Cape Breton Island. Love Borje. He was my favourite player and a mentor on how to conduct yourself as a young man. I've watched so many tributes and well up each time. Gonna miss The King.

I feel the same - Börje got a proper send off and that's what I take with me.
    Bless.

Since my early childhood, Börje was always the GOAT. Thanks to Toronto for embracing his quality.

I fell in love with hockey when I was 8 or 9 years old. I saw the Winnipeg Jets play Leksand in Sweden. This was before the NHL. I saw Anders Hedberg, Ulf Nilsson and.... Bobby Hull. At the end of that game I got the stick from Lyle Moffat. Lyle had probably had a shot in the game that cracked the the stick. When I came home I had to bring in to the rink to show of. And it broke. A couple of years later Borje was in Toronto playing. In Sweden we could not watch the games. But we read about them and he was not only a idol. He became a legend that ended up to be a God. That is how I see him. Always will he be remembered by me and everyone in Sweden. As the best.

What a sad news, just watch your induction of the hall of fame and now this. Our biggest Swede ever. Condolences to his family. Love you Borje.

I'm a Bruin fan since 1970, but I'm considering getting a blue '70's # 21 jersey. Imagine the calibre of defence men in those years: Orr, Park, Robinson, Savard, Lapointe, Potvin, Salming.
