I love the passion from the Captain!! Get on it!! Always listen to the Captain.... Some people get their feelings hurt, the rest of us Salty types get the passion! I get the stress. My wife learned quickly to be ready for directions when a big fish is on.

When I saw that sword fish make an appearance, my eye's nearly popped out of their sockets ! That fish was "" YUGE "" 😱 You could have wrote a book called " The Old Man and the SEA " part two 😂I'm glad you got the fish recorded on the camera, or we never would have got to see it for ourselves ! I would think those Rosies would be tougher meat like a lobster, because they are from such deep water that puts a lot of pressure on the muscles ?
If we had not seen that fish it would have been the mystery that never would have been revealed. Thank goodness we actually saw it!!

One of the hardest and toughest fish to catch in the ocean for sure! You never have him till he’s in the boat.

Damn my mouth is watering. It was exciting to see the sword fish jump. That's a lot of work fishing 1,500 feet down for the Rosies but the flesh looked delicious. Thanks Elizabeth you taught this old duffer who's been frying fish for seventy years how not to mess with the fish in the frying pan.

They were at 1K feet and more. They are an amazing fish and fantastic on the dinner plate. I hope they are never fished commercially.

He looks at swordfish because the captain panicked, but we had to do was put the boat in gear retrieve that weight of the line which would’ve kept tension on the line anyway great show love your show

Makes a huge difference to firm up the flesh and make filleting easy by bleeding them straight away when you catch em
Yes, we always bleed all of our fish and ice them down for 24 hours before cleaning them. Makes a big difference!

I would say start at the same depth n bottom as they like n go from there I'm sure it wouldn't take too long to locate them my buddy gets them off ft Lauderdale so I'm sure they are pretty abundant

They were 800-1100 feet of water.

I’m not really sure. It is so deep that the sounder could not pick up the bottom accurately. Most likely the same as tilefish and snowy grouper.

By mistake, I had northern lobster fried and it was so bad, almost all of the flavor was gone !
Fried lobster? Ugh, nope not for us. Steamed or boiled, even stuffed with crab and shrimp, but not fried!! 😩

You stay at her place and she cooks all the meals for you as well as line up the daily fishing charters. Like staying at a motel but includes all meals.

I've seen a number of videos with these electric reals. In almost everyone the fisherman is handling the line with their hand while the line is coming up.. Why?
So there’s lots going on here. For the most part, you wind up hand lining because you have only 80 lb test braid to bring in a 100 -700 pound fish and you cannot lock down the drag or you will snap the line. You hand line as the rod and the boat Bob up and down in the waves. Taking in line on the down and waiting on the up. The trick is to tire the fish out sometimes after several hours before the hook pulls or he swipes it with his sword which happened in this case.

I can’t understand when deep dropping on a boat on any boat. Want to bring a rubber mat to drape over the sides so you don’t have to worry about the weight banging into your boat when you’re trying to get fish nobody does this I don’t know why.
I don’t know why either but I think you have a great idea and will incorporate that into our deep drops from now on.
@@FloridaFishingCouple hey are use it when I work on my 55 Chevy I placed one on the fenders so when I lean in to fix the motor I don’t have to worry about scratching my fenders up the same for a boat. The weight dilemma was painful to watch. Almost as if you forgot how to fish. Didn’t want to real up the weights. But - in the heat of the moment you may have been excited. Captain seemed a tad flustered which makes every flustered. Nice job with the deep drop.

The Sail fish ate the fish dude. You didt hook the Sail . The Charter grifter knew the damn sail ate the dink fish you had on a electric reel wtf .
