    I have a salt pool. The SWG splits the chlorine out of the salt (sodium chloride). After the chlorine does it's job it recombines with the sodium and just turns back into salt. The water in a salt pool has a much softer feel than regular pools and generally speaking you can run the pool at a lower chlorine level. Also the salt content is much lower than the ocean.

      Really don't want the pumps under a shed they produce a lot of heat and need to vent to keep cool. Some will add a wall to keep you from seeing them but most just leave them out in the open.

    • @nyamillennial
      @nyamillennial  Před měsícem +2

      It was intentional. New sand has a lot of dust. If you put straight into recirculate it will put sand dust in the pool with brand new sand. Wanted to reduce the amount with rinse function first.

    Just curious. What is the advantage of having salt water as opposed to non-salt water in a swimming pool? Or is it just a personal preference. I know excess chlorine can burn the eyes a little, but it seems that salt water would be worse. Pardon my ignorance. LOL

      @@nyamillennial Might be worth checking and making sure the homeowner is informed...so they cant blame you for killing their yard or causing environmental issues where ever the water runs into after the yard (ie for a big water change for some reason) :) ie some small streams would not be happy with lots of salt water suddenly coming in.
