Thanks for the color comparison. I've had my Hadley Pro all black for about 15 years and it's a tank of of bag. Now that I'm carrying less gear I was looking at the Hadley Small Pro and the new navy caught my eye but I've also always lusted after the black/tan.
The navy is absolutely incredible, really subtle too I think, if you like the black on black. Excited for you, whichever you choose!!

It's really true you don't see navy blue bags often. I have a khaki canvas hadley small pro, thinking of getting a hadley pro in navy. Truly looks nice.
Highly recommend it! I picked up a navy Pro 2020 (I think that’s the only one that’s offered in navy) and it was perfect for a planes trains and automobiles kind of trip we did over the holidays where I wanted to have a good amount of stuff on me. Cheers!!

Oh that is a FAB bag and combo. The Hadley One is about the same size and worth a look too! The Thomas is definitely a classic brief, tho, and you can’t go wrong.
I bought the Hadley Small Pro in Sage/Chocolate and will probably get the Digital Hadley in Navy
Loving your videos so far about Billingham bags, Josh! Have you noticed if the colors on the fibrenyte material bags have faded over time, or have they held up well?
Thank you! My fibrenyte bags have definitely held up well and I don’t have any color loss or fade that I can see! My canvas ones for the most part have also held up really nicely too, though. And thanks for watching!

Hi Josh, don’t have socials so hoping to reach out here. I was looking through your videos trying to gauge the best colour for my Hadley small pro (got the navy) but actually really liked your videos showing them used outside of camera gear. I’m now looking at the Billingham Thomas Briefcase + laptop bag for work but there are literally almost 0 videos online reviewing it. I was hoping you had that bag and could do a video review to show practical size of the pockets etc if you have one?
Hello! It’s a beautiful bag and I’ve seen it in person, but I don’t have one, and I’ll tell you why. For me it’s too narrow/thin in profile, and I verified that when I got to see it in person. Pre-Covid and work-from-home, even just to the office I needed my brief to hold a laptop, notebook, lunch, a water bottle, maybe even my jacket if I decided to stow it. And having something that carried more allowed me to use the same bag as a carry on for business travel without having to change into something different.
If your things will fit into it and you don’t need more space, I do highly recommend it. It’s classic Billingham quality and design. But if your needs are more like mine, my two favorite brands for briefcases are Filson (on the lower end) or Ghurka (on the higher end). Both are of fantastic quality and craftsmanship just like Billingham. I love Ghurka leather, and they are absolutely heirloom quality bags.
Finally, if the Hadley One isn’t too casual for your needs, that’s definitely worth a look also, as it’s got the volume and can hold a laptop.

I love the navy color but i wish they had the same color straps instead of tan 😢 i decided to go with sage fibrenyte/black to have matching color strap 😅
Oh yes I so agree! That would be so nice. I personally don’t mind the beige strap as long as it’s not on black. 😂

could it fit macbook m1 pro 14 inch 2021? If you only could have one,which color would you keep?
For the MacBook, I’d go with the bigger Pro or Pro 2020. The Small Pro perfectly fits my 11-inch M1 iPad Pro, so it’s much smaller. If I had to only choose one it would be the navy because I think it goes with most clothing I own, but the original khaki and the all black would tie for second place. The navy is also only offered in canvas where both khaki and black are offered in both canvas and fibrenyte so that’s something for you to decide on. Fibrenyte is more durable and holds color better in the long run.
@@joshswatches do you have tips to clean khaki color? I love its khaki color but really get dirty easily and hard to clean
Not really, you can scrub them down gently but generally the patina they pick up with wear and age and use is a feature more than a drawback. I’d suggest fibrenyte as the khaki is darker than canvas but if wear is a big concern, go with a darker color.
would small pro fit canon r6 and rf 24-70mm f2.8 attached? Do you think navy color tend to filth easily like khaki color?
Hello! It would most likely fit (without battery grip and lens hood), but you wouldn’t have room for much else unless you removed the padded insert. Billingham’s site has detailed measurements, I’d verify there. In regard to the color, I think you’re asking if it will show dirt like tan, and it definitely won’t show dirt and grime as much as tan, but the canvas develops more patina than fibrenyte so if the bag staying nicer for longer is important you might want to go with a darker fibrenyte color. Does this company only make camera bags?
Hello! Their bags are made to be camera bags but most can be used just as messenger bags because the inserts are removable. They also make two overnight bags and a briefcase too. I have a video on how I use mine as travel bags: czcams.com/video/gcnaR8Lqv7Q/video.html

Ohhhh that’s beautiful I have yet to add a Sage bag to my collection but it’s definitely on the list. I was actually about to when they dropped the navy and that went right out the window.
@@joshswatches yeah that navy is gorgeous. But the sage color tends to blend into the background well and has that rugged look that I like with denim etc. I also do some pro gigs & had bought two AVEA 8 side pockets to fit a bit more gear for shoots. So it made sense to get the Sage so I can still use the side pockets. I also like that it’s FibreNyte rather than canvas because I think it repels stains a bit better & is lighter than canvas, so for a big bag that I’ll be throwing around on unpredictable surfaces I think it’s better. (I think the sage color will also reveal less stains). Actually, I’ve always opted for the FibreNyte material for its superior technical properties, (got my first Billingham in 2010) but the navy looks so beautiful that I got it despite being canvas. I hope I end up liking it just as much...I’ll probably spray it with a repellant just to give it a bit more stain repelling properties.
