Excellent video! Sincere info and enthusiastic couple. Small note: These are net figures. In NL, you will pay income tax that is deducted from your gross income. Ballpark figure of 40 to 50% for middle incomes. Advice to others: Never accept a job offer from a company including housing. You will likely face coercion, extortion and exploitation because loosing you job will make you homeless. Food is clearly an important aspect of Indian culture :-) . Wish you both all the luck and happiness...
Hello 👋- glad that you like it 😊 and thanks so much for your wishes.
Your advice is indeed helpful 👍🏻 , thanks! Will pin your comment as it will help everyone
Thanks for the subtitles!
Thanks Koushik 😊👍
Very nicely made video guys, wish you good luck with the channel 🙂
Thanks a lot for your kind words 😊

Thanks a lot for your nice words Deniz! 😊
Hello..nice information..i hope this Will help us when we will move to NL
Thanks Sushama 😊, good luck on your plan to move to NL 👍
Hello
Thanks for the video 🙂
I am living in NL for almost 3.5years and all the expenses you explained are in ballpark figures. It would be really helpful for decision making
Keep it up guys 🙂
Hello Prakash - Glad that you found it useful and think it will help others too 😊
Which visa did you move
@@chetanaahir5122 Hello Chetan - I moved on the "highly skilled migrant" visa.
Hi I'm here in Netherland and I work as a software engineer I'm single 😞 and My salary 5000 euro and my monthly expenses 1200 to 1500 euro include accomodations and everything and basically I'm from Pakistan
And your wife is so pretty 😍💓 God bless you
Have a good day
Thank you so much for giving information
Thanks and good day to you too 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing the information. How years of experience you have and what is your visa type(ICT or HSM). I am bachelor and will move to NL this year. I am desperately searching for the bachelor monthly expenditure ball park amount. I understood it would vary from 1200 to 1500 from your message. Thank you sir.
Hello, I am on HSM visa. The monthly amount depends on city you live in + lifestyle you have but my suggestion would be to consider somewhere in the range of €1600-€2000 per month if you are moving this year or later.
I always find funny that the monthly expense are calculated in Indian money and get perplexed. I was in middle east for quite some time, Indians have that mindset calculating from petty things to cinema ticket to rent to vegetable expense to etc.. We never calculate Gross salary in Indian money and get satisfied..
I understand that thought. Initially it happens with most people I guess when they move out of India but after sometime you should get used to the cost of living for that specific country.
I am living now in Enschede Netherlands for almost 7 years and our monthly expenses is approximately €2500 for 2 people.
Thanks a lot for sharing ☺

Hello 👋- I would like to understand your professional experience better to provide suggestions. Can you dm me on IG - @lifeofmohta ?
Lovely couple. Incredibly useful info. I’m working with a dutch healthcare, am currently based in India.
Thanks a lot Shakti 😊, if you get a chance to be here would be lovely to meet!
Thanks for adding the ENG sub. :) Who is the best internet provider in NL?
Happy that the subtitles help 😊, regarding internet provider - in my experience ziggo is quite popular and then KPN
Kpn ist the best
Very informative
Glad you think so!
Hi, Can you please make a video about what are the expenses one should expect while shifting to Netherlands for the first time? Do you need travel insurance? How much for shopping for clothes, jackets etc?
Hi @littythomas5183 - I am answering your questions here on expenses 😊 because the video might take a while.
1) In general, the overall expenses remain the same as described in the video, does not changes if you are coming for the first time.
2) Coming to specifics, yes it’s best to have a travel insurance whether you are coming as a tourist or moving to Netherlands as it will cover the cost of anything going wrong while travelling to Netherlands 🇳🇱. However, after you arrive here it is mandatory to take a health insurance (assuming you are not a tourist).
3) shopping 🛍️ is really personal in my opinion and the costs can vary a lot depending on which store/brand you are buying from. But if you ask me for an estimate- if you arrive in winter months €100-150 as a start should be enough and of course later you can buy more based on requirement.
Hope this clarifies some of your queries and feel free to reach out if you are looking for more information.
Thanks, Shashank
Maybe you missed clothes and shoes.
Also price of electicity has gone up with about 150 euros. Overall information is to my knowledge pretty nice
Hello 👋,
You are right we did not cover “Shopping” as a category as the cost can vary a lot depending on the individual 😊 so we focused more on the essentials.
Oh yes, from the time this video was made energy prices have shot up 📈 crazy. May be a part 2 is needed 😀.
Glad that you found it informative 🙏
Hi, Really thankful for the overview of the Cost of Living. With the current inflation and Energy crisis, I believe it's the recent update I can find , which is really helpful for decision making. I am planning to move to NL with my Spouse + 1 Kid. Can you suggest, if 5100 EUR, is a decent take home salary for sustainability in the country. I request for your honest suggestion. Thank you and Take Care.
Hi Surya Kiran,
Thanks a lot for your kind words 😊, really fulfills the purpose of the video 🙏🏽.
Regarding €5100 as take home salary, to begin your stay I think it’s good with your family set up as based on the latest expenses we mentioned you will need around ~€ 3500 meaning you will save around €1000 assuming you spend another €500 on weekends/eating out and your kid goes to dutch school.
In the longer term, if your partner also starts a job then it will be quite nice 😊
Happy to answer any specific questions you might have before/after you arrive here, you can connect with me on IG @lifeofmohta
All the very best 👍
Hi, My sincere thanks to you for your response 🙏🙏 . To be very honest, I am bit nervous to decide whether to move to NL or not. Reason is ad-hoc expenditures and Housing rent prices (I heard that, recently to get a decent 2bhk near to schools or within 2km radius, minimum we have to spend 2K EURO). I work with Oil & Energy Company, and got an opportunity to transfer internally to NL. So, still trying to figure out the overall monthly expenses + Miscellaneous , and yet to take the final call.
Take care and stay safe 🙏🙏
Hi Surya, I totally understand your concern as I was going through the same a few years back. Renting is indeed getting costly but if you are aiming long term things will fall in place.
Good luck and hope to see you in NL soon 🤝🏻
@@MohtaVlogs Thank you for your time and response !! Tc 🙂

Yes, there are several universities where students enroll from different countries.

Sir can you please suggest an immigration agency you did applied from india, actually am from punjab and no one here is interested exept canada
Hello 👋,
I did not apply via any agency. I found a job on LinkedIn that was suitable for my work experience and followed the normal hiring process.
Wow
Surprised? 😀
Let us know current demanding jobs in neds.
Dear Ayaz - Thanks for your suggestion, will give it a thought to plan it sometime in the future 😊
Hi. This is so informative. But can u please Efforts Elaborated about the income tax that we need to pay 💰. I am concerned as its highest in Netherlands goes upto 52℅. So is like Indian system where u ca claint some amount as returns. Or it gets deducted from salary itself. Appreciate ur Efforts.
Hi 👋- Did you see my response to your previous comment? May be you missed it as it was on a long comment thread. A lot is answered there.
Short answer- It gets deducted from salary and some of it you can get back when filing returns depending on your personal/family situation
yes . ihave seen the Perviuos, thanks for reply. can u make a video on that? will help lot of people like me@@MohtaVlogs
Video on?
For taxes, there are already 2 videos on the channel
Also pls explain income tax
Thanks for the suggestion, will try to cover that in one of the future videos 👍
Easy...Be an expat and get 30% of your salary tax free while locals start with 18% and go up to 45%....makes me puke
Mujhe yeh jaana hai ki joh tax hai woh pehle cut ke salary aati hai ya humne additionally pay karni hoti hai. Aur woh kitna alag hai India ke mukable. Aur mujhe ek 2 years old daughter hai toh mai actually netherland consoder kar raha hit as it is said to be safe against crimes. Also. Agar aap koo odea de pao education system ka. Toh bohat acha hoga.
Salary tax cut karke aati hai. Jab aap returns file karoge to you can get some money back depending on your personal/family situation.
Public schools are free(almost) but international schools are not and they are expensive
are the public school in english or dutch. and is it consoder good compared to indian private CBSE schools.@@MohtaVlogs
Public schools are dutch and private are English however private schools are very expensive whereas public schools are almost free

What would be the expense for a single person?
Hello Sadiya,
Expenses can always vary based on the lifestyle :). To give you an estimate based on all the items mentioned in the video I think it should be in the range of €1500-€2000 assuming that the single person lives in a sharing house/apartment.
Mam how much for students monthly expenses?
Category of expenses remain the same but overall amount will reduce as you can share a place to live so around 700-1000 euro for accommodation. The rest will completely depend on your lifestyle but you can definitely do a rough calculation based on the numbers described in the video 😊

Hello 👋,
Primarily work visa companies apply karti hai jo aapko hire karke bulati hai, dusra option hai ki aap studies ke liye aaye and fir kisi company ne hire kiya jisne visa apply kiya.
Third option shayad hota hai ki kuch limited weeks/months ke liye aa sakte hai on a certain visa jisse job search kar sakte hai. Mujhe exact costs and rules nahi pata but mei aapko websites link de deta hu jahan se aapko pata chal jayega:

Simplest way is to look for vacancies posted on LinkedIn, company portals that matches your skillset and apply with updated resume/cover letter
Bhai! MBA kiya Hu And I Have 1 year Of Experience Kyaa Maay Netherlands aa Sakta Hu
Jarur aa sakte ho, aapki profile se related jo jobs Linkedin pe available hai usme apply karo ya koi specific company mein aana hai to unke career page pe jaake bhi apply kar sakte ho. Yaha pe kaafi companies hire kar rahi hai.
All the best!

Why don’t you live in your country India? Why are you going to other people’s country?
The video is about informing/educating everyone who is interested in moving to this country to be prepared on what to expect when it comes to cost of living/expenses.
Not sure, how you perceived it.
Ok. So when do you go back to your country?
