Ever get tired of seeing us type “I LOVE IT!!”? Well, too bad, lol. 😜 I LOVE IT! Was just starting to do some Samhain (Halloween) themed rocks for the rock painting groups I’m in. I’ve been thinking about trying the Happy Dotting Co.’s moulds, so will have to give it a go - thanks so much for both the tutorial AND the discount Rachel! ❤️

Hiya Aislinn - thank you! 😃 I’m lucky enough to live right nearby a river, so usually I have a ready supply. Come winter though...even with the many I grab throughout the warm months, the moment the river freezes, I’m out of luck! Can’t wait to try them, really appreciate input from others! 💓

Ok Rachel...you and a few others have twisted my rubber arm. Have ordered my first Mold from HDC - thanks so much for the code 💕 Can’t wait to try it out; I do have easy access to river rocks (we have several rivers within easy driving distance of our farm) but sometimes I just want a truly round stone, and that centre dot is going to make things so much easier! I’ve also ordered the mix as well, although I am already comfortable using it as I’ve used this mix in the past for other things 😉

Just received my molds from Angela and can’t wait to try making my own rocks. In Shanghai we don’t have Ultracal, so I’ll have to find an alternative. I was thinking gypsum powder. And btw these colors are fab u lous!

Love this! Thanks for sharing! Question.... I've been resining the rocks like you with gloves... my problem is I put the on top of disposable shot glasses yet it ends up ripping the paint off and I put so minimal on the bottom to avoid this and still it happens. How do you dry yours and on what?
Thank you so much! I lay mine in a tupperware container with a lid I buy large Rubbermaid containers that go right underneath my bed and I slide them under there and they dry overnight. No dust or debris gets on them because there's a lid. As long as you let them dry long enough they'll pop right off the bottom of the plastic container. Hope this helps!! I also have a second tutorial on how to fix the bottoms of your rocks.

No I use a different sponge with each colour.

So that product would break if dropped and wouldn’t work for outside.
My art stones are pretty solid and would probably still break if dropped on hard surfaces. However, most of my Stones are indoor stones for decor or display.
