    I think people need to get real. The bike looks pretty good for what it is, an entry level medium size adventure bike for €6000. You cant compare it to €20,000+ Ducati Multistrada or BMW GS with 1100cc.
    It looks like a lot of fun in a budget package.

    I'd love a bike for all seasons like this. I sat on one at the motorcycle show. Very nice. You actually sit in the bike, not on it. I found this added a sense of security and made you feel part of the bike. I also sat on the other manufacturers adventure in the same category and nothing felt like the TRK Benelli. Yes, it's down on power and the frame looks cheap in places but for what your buying it's a good midrange hack. You could take your wife out, without her worrying about your speed, and ride the round the countryside. You don't need much power for green lanes. It's an upright bike for enjoying the views.
    Only resale bothers me. If you keep it till the wheels fall of then you'll have got your moneys worth, but selling it after 6 months I'd think you'd lose at least a few £1000. So look long term if you're going to get one.

    I touched the bike myself. I even rode inside the workshop. Just to feel the engine and steering. I must say it is not a very sharp design but it is nice overall. The quality of many pieces are regular and close to cheap quality. However, the feel, ride and steering are quite nice. 7 customers bought all 7 bikes my place. Yes, so I will have to wait till August for the next batch to arrive. Yes, true that I am also hesitated of Chinese made stuff so I will see what the 7 purchasers say after a couple of months. I am 80% sure I will buy the TRK. It is reasonable in terms of medium ride, suitable for my purpose - weekend ride only and it is budgeted.

    If I buy this bike over the bmw gs1200 or multistrada, I'll still have 10k€ left for trips and beer. Seems a heck of a deal. Reliability? Don't BMW or Ducati me, they are pretty much at the bottom of the list. For the price seems a lot of fun. Well done Benelli.

    If it's anything like the Benelli's one of our local shops has, stay far away. They are just Chinese bikes with the Benelli name stickered on. Apparently Benellis have a reputation for catching on fire in India (where they've been selling for a few years now) due to a poorly placed fuel overflow.

  • @mcrsit

    Thanks Cager! Love the bike and your reviewing-style :) BTW: for everyone complaining that this is a chinese bike, keep in mind that Benellis are designed in Italy and then built overseas, like 90% of every other dang thing made in the consumerist society -.-

      They are Chinese market Nonqing brand bikes rebadged as Benelli for export. Just like CSC is rebadged Zongshen. Benelli's already have a terrible rep for catching on fire in India where they've been sold outside of China the longest. Though if you want a throwaway A2 bike it's cheap for what it is.

      It's on their website. Hmmm in regards to brakes and handling I have no idea as I've not ridden it myself. The weight is very heavy though at 235 kilos. About 40kg more than the Honda 500x which at that power level is a hell of a lot.

      rockafella1690 Just goes to prove that some "respected" publications are heavily biased towards the mainstream manufacturers. As soon as someone says "Asian manufacturer" the likes of MCN condemn the bikes. They have to. You think the "MCN Fleet" of long term test bikes would be free if they were honest?
      .
      What I like about Cager is, he's relatively new to motorcycles, and therefore just reviews them for what they are and how they ride. No pre-concieved bullshit or bias.

    @actstuntcam Před 5 lety

    Nope!, they are doing what ALL manufacturers are doing. The Benelli scrambler is 170kg dry. This is basically the same bike EXCEPT it weighs 40kg more. Does a slightly bigger tank and some different plastics really weigh 40kg?????????? Because obviously what we want from a low powered ADV is a huge amount more weight? Why isn't anyone pointing that out!! It could have been ok at a similar weight. As it is why would you buy one of these when you can buy a second hand DL650 and have another 15hp. Did they make it massively heavy so it didn't embarrass the ridiculous 250kg ADVs.

    Desperately needs the new 754cc parallel twin from the upcoming Benelli 752S.
    Or better yet, the company's old 899cc triple. They already have the tooling to restart the production of that engine & all the R&D costs would have been recouped from the sales of the old TNT899, so it baffles me why the company has absolutely refused to use it.

      @mrvwbug4423 Před 7 lety

      This is more akin to the Honda CB500X, which is only a little more expensive (and probably a lot more reliable). F800GS has double the power and is intended for a completely different market segment and rider. The 800 is also not an A2 bike if you live in the EU and are still riding under A2. It is a step below the Versys 650 and Tracer 700 in both price and power.

  • @motopoznan9842
    @motopoznan9842 Před 7 lety +2

    230kg wet is very light?! Did you even check the stats? And how is 230kg wet lighter than your Tracer 700 at 196kg wet? Also you were riding it with the tank nearly empty. That's a 20 litre tank, that's positioned pretty high up. You fill that thing up to full and then see if it feels light... You should really address the false statements that you make in this video, it will give people considering this bike the wrong impression.
    I like your reviews Cager, but stating obvious false facts is a no no.

    • @motopoznan9842
      @motopoznan9842 Před 7 lety +4

      5:28 - You're stating that it IS lighter (not FEELS) than your Tracer 700, that's not an opinion, that's a false fact. It didn't feel 230kgs, because it wasn't full, so it was probably closer to 215kgs, which is still considerably heavier than your Tracer.

    •  Před 6 lety +2

      He is talking while riding and you expect perfection with the damn verbs? Jesus Christ you are picky...
