    Thank you for this guide, I crashed on wet slippery tarmac last week and my forks and steering was not aligned after, this video really helped, glad I watched another of your videos with the 27mm spanner so I didn’t have to take of the handlebar mount ☺️✌🏻

      @@konstantinlauger3678 right, have no video on the 😅.
      You just need a 27mm wrench 🔧, usually they are thin enough to slip in and you can loosen it.
      But its a LOT of tourqe , so can be hard.

    Don’t do this if you had a minor
    Crash and tweaked the alignment. Way to much work to loosen the center bolt. Just loosen the triple clamp lower pinch bolts, work it, then tighten. If still weird, loosen the upper pinch bolts and work it.
    Done.
    If that fails, then you can try the center bolt, but you more then likely bent something at that point.

    Stefan, i renovera the oem bar end weights. Cut them, drilled and threded to match the bolts that comes with it for the expander nut, then cut the cone chapped part off the expander and turned the same cone shape in the bar end so I could use it as a spacer etc.

    I did something stupid and tucked my front end while going uphill through some whoops... My T-7 hit the ground pretty hard and my handle bars managed to come into contact with my gas tank and cracked the plastic. 😱😫 After making sure my ribs were not broken and picking up the bike, the handle bars were extremely out of alignment. Had to hold the handle bars at a about 30 degree angle to go straight. To fix the alignment in the field, I stood in front of the bike with one leg on each side of the front wheel and twisted the handle bars back into position. At this point I was able to ride home safely but something still felt wrong and I'm not just talking about my ribs 🤣. A few weeks later and after a few more rides the alignment still felt off. 🤔 I discovered that my handle bars and the handle bar mount were in fact bent. I was amazed. After replacing those two items, steering was back to normal. 👍 So if you can't get the alignment right, your bars and possibly your bar mount are probably bent too. Thanks for the tips. Good video!

      Can confirm it's easier than you might think to bend that bar clamp.
      Even scarier is how easy it is to bend it back to straight on the bench 🤔
      Made triple sure everything in the fork was straight, bars where straight....but still the same slight right tweak.
      Pulled the clamps off, tossed them on glass. Click click click moving them side to side : (

      @@ElectronNinja damn I think I have been riding with bent handlebar clamps as well then.
      My front tire slipped out in a curve and the bike hit the ground pretty hard.
      Had handlebar bent and replaced it and straightened out the alignment as best as I could but it also still feels off and that was half a year ago.
      I guess i just got used to it. But in this case I am almost sure the clamps are bent.
      Did you actually manage to straighten them out?

      @@gbner9991 Yeah just put sockets with extensions over the bolts and bent back to where it didn't click on a flat plate anymore. A lot easier to do than I was hoping...

    If you put a stool on either side of the bike and stand on those instead of the foot pegs, you won't accidentally mess up the alignment when you climb off the bike because you'll have no weight on it.

    Have the same issue and on forums and seem to have the same approach so good of you to make a video about it. I' ll try it out for sure. Unrelated question if dont mind - what are those acerbis handguars and what is the sticker scheme of the bike - it were good. Thx again for the video :) cheers

    My T7 pulls to the right. As far as I remeber this started after I crashed the bike on the road. Then I replaced my handlebar and aligned it best as I could but it's still pulling to the right, even after my dealer apparently aligned the forks. Maybe my rear wheel is just out of alignment? Man this is complicated lol

    • @everythingtenere
      @everythingtenere  Před rokem

      Ouch 🤕
      Yea check your real wheel, if that is straight, do the fork alignment trick.
      If it is still going to the right, you have more serious issues

    • @gbner9991
      @gbner9991 Před rokem

      @@everythingtenere I will do that but I think the dealer did not align the front properly. He sayed he just opened the bottom clamp bolts and aligned it, but how would that work without opening the top center bolt as well?
      I don't think the crash was bad enough to do any other damage. Handlebar was bent but that was basically it. I am 99% sure it went straight before that so I think it must have to do something with the front end.

    • @everythingtenere
      @everythingtenere  Před rokem +1

      @@gbner9991 if the top vs bottom clamp aren’t alighted 100%, just loosening the bottom clamp won’t do shit.
      The center nut need to be loosened and suspension compressed to align the clamps.
      Otherwise the only way is to force them straight by putting your tire against something and turn your handlebars. In you case tire to the left of a solid struction and turn right hard 🤪

    My mechanic loosed the fork clamps and twisted the wheel back into alignment with the bars, but the top of the risers now looks out of true. Thinking it was the risers and not the forks that were bent?
