I tried landing a 182 amphib float plane in 30-40 kt crosswind, wasn’t working, couldnt maintain centerline at all! Those float are like holding a sheet of plywood in a string wind. Luckily there was a river and boat ramp a mile away. I made my own runway into the wind on the river and parked in the marina parking lot until wind died down. 😆
