    Personalize your Kawasaki with added style and improved riding performance. With its two-finger design (shorty), the Womet-Tech Evos Shorty Levers enable you to keep your hand on the bar while still using the lever. The shorty design also aids in protecting your levers in the event of a fall or crash. Womet-Tech knows that every hand is different, which means different riders prefer different lever pull distances. That's why they designed the Evos Shorty Lever to have 6 levels of adjustability. With the red anodized adjuster, you can easily change the pull distance and set these levers up to perfectly fit your hand. These components are CNC machined out of aircraft grade aluminum with an anodized finish so you are getting top quality controls that are built to take a beating without showing any sign of it.

    How do you lock down the adjuster? the first one so you tighten it towards in ? or out

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 3 lety +1

      Which adjuster? Clutch? You tighten the larger split nut against the perch so that the threads are loaded up and it won't loosen.

  • @suffice07

    Hi, I was installing the clutch lever and when placing the clutch line back, it became lose. How do I fix? No matter how I adjust the large screw against the perch it’s still lose to the pull.

      I have no way of analyzing your issue without seeing details of how you have reassembled your components. A video from several angles would help me determine how to help you.

    I like the black color, and design but that's about it. I don't get the fascination with 'shorty' levers. Pause the video @3:51, it sure looks like the stock lever is short enought o not hit if the bike were to fall. This negates the reason "stock will break" when the bike drops. Fewer fingers on the lever can mean less sensitivity, which can translate to more abrupt clutching or braking. Shorter levers also change the mechanical advantage you have - increasing the force you need to actuate the lever. On this bike in particular, the levers are also adjustable from the factory. I see no real advantage for most riders to change these out. This is more for "bling" than anything else. With all that being said, I LIKE these. They should make a more "normal" sized one in that design and color options for those of us who just want to do something aesthetic to our bike. Isn't that the real reason why most of you change things? Admit it. lol

    Hi there, once I swapped the original clutch lever with the Womet-Tech EVOS Shorty Lever I no longer had enough tension in the clutch cable. I can pull the lever all the way to the handlebar, but it stays pulled and doesn't return to the starting position. I tried putting the OEM clutch lever back on so I could take my bike to a garage, but the cable was still loose. Should I try tightening the cable down above the rear brake? I followed the video step by step. I have a 2022 Ninja 650. Any comments or assistance would be greatly appreciated!

      Did you adjust the cable at the perch after lever installation? It sounds like you missed that step.

      @@TSTindustries Thank you for responding! I actually found out that it got disconnected from the engine on the other end of the cable. I guess I overlooked that possibility because it was something so simple.

    Someone mentioned their brakes locking up after replacing their stock brake lever with these. Is this a defect in the design? If not what do you need to do to 100% assure the brakes won't lock up. The thought of that scares the hell out of me and makes me feel hesitant about buying these. Thanks

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 3 lety +1

      We have not had any reports of brake lockup caused by lever change. That is surely a scary thought. I have seen a defect in master cylinders in the past, or let me say rather a poor maintenance issue with the master cylinder, where pressure would build within the master with no way of bleeding off into reservoir, and then the brakes would lock up. I don't see how a lever can cause brake lockup since it is only a device for changing the mechanical advantage from fingers to master cylinder piston. Perhaps it is possible if someone overtightens the pivot connection and when the brake is pressed in it doesn't have a way of springing back. That is just speculation though. I would have to have an actual problematic system here to analyze the source of the problem.

It does drop back down to 3 or 4 but just sitting they 4 or it will stay at 5 bars . Should i be concerned? the dealership said that’s normal .. i made a video as well
