"On this episode of Highway thru Hell...." Craziness!!! I imagine a lot of people were jealous seeing your truck house.
I was a truck driver for 8 years. And this kind of thing was my worst nightmare. I couldn't handle that kind of stress in an 18-wheeler. I got so tired of fighting with my dispatcher who told me I must go, when I knew it wasn't possible. Finally, I had another snowstorm coming in and my dispatcher telling me to go anyway. After 8 years of driving, I quite right there on the spot!!! I sat there watching this video with my heart pounding and hyperventilated. And praising God that I don't have to do that anymore. Now, thanks to my You Tube channel, I can spend my winters as a Florida or Arizona Snowbird. 😎🏝
Good for you brother. God Bless our Truckers 🥴🇨🇦
Gotta live your own path, good on ya!
I drove for 4 years and then I had to take a break for almost 2 and 1/2 years now because of personal and medical issues. Don't know when you drove but some companies are still bad but most of them today won't push you like that. The only issue I ever came across was them telling you if you absolutely can't drive because you're tired and you're falling asleep that it doesn't matter what load your carrying to tell them and your life is more important and the load actually making it there and not on the side of the highway in pieces is more important and then when that time actually came with me one company made me feel so bad about it that I chugged like three red bulls and they don't have anyone else to take the load but miraculously 30 minutes later after I chug three red bulls and had not a prayer of sleeping after that they found someone to take the load. Then I was pissed. Really they should tell people no matter how hard your company or dispatcher makes you feel that if you can't take a load you tell them you can't take a load and at the end of the day if your job is threatened or whatever no matter how hard they make you feel bad about it or push you or whatever if it comes down to it and goes over their head they will be in trouble and not you. But they don't tell you that. They don't tell you that the right thing is to Not take the load or park the truck or whatever no matter what hell you get trying to do it and that ultimately once it goes up the chain of command you will be vindicated but you will take a load of hell before that point. You're right not really worth it if you can find something else to do. For me it's the best job I was ever able to get so I can't wait to go back but I'm going to make damn sure I'm in better health and better suited for that lifestyle before I go back.
Fun Fact: The town of Hope is where they filmed the first Rambo movie.
Nice lol!
That's a whole Lotta crazzzzzy,!
The other drivers are saying, look at this guy with the house on his truck, he can just pull-over and chill
This is exactly why I love Van & Truck life !!! You basically have everything you need to be stuck for awhile 😊
Fact!
The hardships have created some of the best content yet. Let’s not be too hasty and call this bad. This is as real as it gets, every story needs a bit of drama👍
fact lol
True. Every writer will tell you, don’t be afraid to put your main characters under pressure! 😂😂😂
I like these adventures and I am glad that you have come through everything.
It’s a great way of seeing some of the best winter scenery that this ole earth 🌎 has to offer.
@@TruckHouseLife Whoops! I forgot to tag you, but I’m sure that the OP didn’t mind me joining his thread.
You are totally awesome under pressure, relax and accepting. Boy can you drive the miles. Awesome job. Be safe!
Thanks:)
Wow now that u made it through the storm u look back and say, that was fun. Love your vids keep making great content!!!!
That looked insane!
I live in the town you got gas in and had all the issues with regarding stuck traffic (Hope BC) and that was a good snowfall for sure. You’re lucky you missed the atmospheric river that was here a couple weeks earlier that caused landslides and flooding that trapped nearly 2000 people in our small town for a week with no support (or power for the first couple days) with people sleeping in their cars and the local teachers opened up the a school to create a shelter for the trapped visitors. Strangers even opened up their homes for people to have somewhere warm and dry to stay until they could get out, a week later… 4 highways all closed.
It’s a special place, we love it!
Glad you were able to visit.
Crazy, yup missed the flooding!
Man, pumping out some great material! At least having a yt channel and being stuck makes for great material! And having a full on cabin in your bed makes it luxurious af hahaha
Yup true!
I stumbled across your channel and I have fallen in love! You're adventure is amazing and so inspirational! I lost my husband of 30 yrs just shy of a yr ago. You remind me of him an all the fun time we had. Thank you for sharing....many blessings to you, lots of safe travels an hopefully I run into you out in Alaska!
Right on!
What an adventure it's been!
Great to have home on the truck bed.
fact!
Who would have know a few months later and all those trucks would be in Ottawa changing history! ❤️🇨🇦
You are the brave man, be careful out there brother.
I was nervous just watching you drive through that mess. Glad its getting better for you.
You're a real trooper, Timothy
Were so happy to have provided you with this weather here in BC. It'd going to make for interesting and dramatic content. Can you please on occasion hold the camera on road signs so we can figure out where you are. I thought originally you were stuck near Christina lake, but later on the drone video it was clear, you only made it to the Sunshine valley. You're lucky you got stuck and turned around there. Highway 3 has some pretty narrow twists with steep drop off spots on it. Be especially gnarly in this type of weather.
I'll try haha!
It truly is awesome you had all the comforts of home there. Many may learn from you on this one. Be prepared!! Yup, you'll never forget that trip! Oh, and, welcome to Canada 👍😆🇨🇦💜🔥🏒
That looked crazy! Glad you made it through. Safe travels
We just had we slick ice in texas and I wasn't expecting the driving to be so bad and scary. 4x4 in my Tacoma and I was spinning at times. Brakes were useless at some parts. Hats off to you lol You do some seriously brave driving man
same here man in dfw. I went to go to work that thursday and slid right through the first stop sign, turned around and went home lol
Geez
This is really something! At least you are safe and warm and have food and shelter
Be safe out there Timmy.
A hardworking man with a solid work ethic and the unique combination of good enough taste and big enough balls to spend his little bit of extra income on a sweet '87 Samurai sight unseen and then haul it all the way to Alaska! Anyone who doesn't love that should just shut up and GTFO! If you don't appreciate it then you don't belong here. I wish you all the best Timmy, you're what makes CZcams great
Awww shucks thank ya kindly
What an adventure you are on…. But your pretty much prepared for what ever you may come across….. I’m glued to your channel at the moment…lol. Good luck and safe travels 🤟🏼🇺🇸
Nice and thanks!
I took a swig off my beer everytime you said "crazy" ha ha ha! Cool of you to bring your neighbor a coffee. What goes around, comes around!
lol yup I use that word alot
Hard for us to imagine these conditions for us here in Dallas. All in all, though, it looks like a great time. Enjoy this series.
I absolutely love your attitude. 💯 We need more ppl like you.
I am gonna re ommend tire CABLE S as well as chains
...chains can go 20 approx.....cable 40 mph. I carry both x4
As much as you aren't we're really enjoying this ah... detour (?) you're on. Stay safe.
In CA and NV you're not supposed to pass the plows. Good job on being prepared for the long haul. You just never know what is going to happen next.
Yup that was fairly sketchy.
Yikes Tim, the Knarl factor is climbing as you head North......Stag safe buddie.🤟🌎
Epic ! ! And I sis enjoy seeing how your camper looked after you ! 😀
The first thing I noticed in the first video I watched of yours, was the thumbnail picture of the camper. So I watched the video. Second thing I noticed was, it's a Ford. The third thing I noticed was, you don't have mudflaps on back. They make a mudflap attachment that fits over your hitch and provides vehicle width coverage. From side to side. The entire ass end would have flap protection. Imagine not having to step on to an icy buildup on the tongue of the trailer. Imagine not spraying road salt, sand, oil and grime all over the front of your haul trailer and towed vehicle. It acts like a sand blaster. Your trailer and trailered vehicle will start rusting within a year. It's just a suggestion, but maybe take some (if you're receiving it) patreon money and invest in some mudflap protection. Either way, it's a worthwhile investment.
Outstanding conditions!!!
Welcome to Truck House Live on ice baby! Stay safe and safe travels!
❤ have driven that highway when I was a traveling musician in the winter! we know all about the plug-in heater. I love your channel
OMG... good job, Timmy! I would have an ulcer after that road trip.
I might have had one lol.

Watching you live in all that freezing, snowy, icy environment makes me so glad I live in sunny Southern California. Glad you love where you live & do what you do. Keep on keeping on! 👌👍👊🤟
least you didn't have to worry about mosquitos, everything else but bugs :) welcome to the great white north! whats funny is you could have been there for days and been fine!
I'm a 7.3 fan. 2002 dulley. Good show man.

Grew up in Prince George BC. I miss driving the BC roads in winter. Always an adventure.
Home👍🏻😊 you're a good neighbor.
Wow!!!! Great video. I love watching your videos just to see what may actually happen next😂
Hope u stay safe on the roads your in our prayers
Hey Bro hope you know the pass after Pemberton if that's what your planning...I've lived there 10 yrs I would not try that if its snowed in... tights switchback ...Anyway love your stuff! be safe !
Drove that route last fall and it would be "fun" in winter.
Already made it back to AK;)
Thank you for the video release times lately! I can have lunch at work and watch your awesome videos! Cheers!
Yup!
Oh WOW!! Ok, you can call me chicken but I believe I would have relaxed in my warm cabin, cooked up something yummy, locked up the home on wheels and took a little hike up the road with my drone and got some awesome shots of a fresh avalanche!! Come home, had some warm coffee, maybe some popcorn or Mac and cheese and waited for the road to get cleared. Especially after transmission overheated!! And now climbing even steeper, gnarly, crooked roads....yep...I'M.CHICKEN!😆😂🤣 You do some awesome driving and clearly experienced in treacherous road conditions!! 6 inches of snow here and we're shut down for days, til it melts!!🤣 Great video...believe I'll watch another and calm down a little😆 Thanks for sharing!!
Cool video, hang in there! Crazy!
I was stuck for 3 nights in Sparwood BC heading East from WA State to Alberta maybe about 5 yrs ago. I was sure glad I had my Arctic Fox 990 on my truck! Definitely went through a ton of books with that layover! I'm subscribed to your channel now. I love AK!
Nice, welcome!
1:11 Timmy should change it to foot pump.
Talk about white knuckled driving, been there a time or two, not to fun, great to see ya moving.
Yay! Crazy stuff man!
I have a 97. 250hd 7.3 power stroke
Love it
One for the ages. Oh crap.
I just think it’s crazy how hard it is to drive to Alaska from the lower states, I would think they would make it easier?? I guess this was in the winter though so that makes sense.
Yup snowplow funding has decreased everywhere unfortunately.
Ive been through there but only in the summer. So beautiful!
That was awesome.
DE, great awesome to see your adventure... looks like that truck has been on White Rim in canyonlands... I have to drive to Alaska now....
Enjoyed again
I just shod a VW bus with general grabber AXT...hope we both have the best of luck with them..Update us with a short tire review after you get some time on them
Will do! I already have a review on the General Grabber on the truck house if you look back through my videos.
I think you have the best bad luck of anybody ..👍
Mayhaps?
you should be the comfiest person there.LOL
I think I was haha.
Stressful it is. Its almost fun and not fun at the same time to drive past those snow plows.
Craziest story ever bro! Sad I missed you when you were in AZ.
You can't beat good ol 7.3 i have a 02 dually lifted I've been thinking about putting a cabin on it.
Good luck bud!
Welcome to life in BC 🤘
lol
My stomach was in knots watching you drive through this storm🙀
Sorry lol
I'm a new subscriber, and I can't get enough of your videos, they're awesome!
That’s crazy-the whole trip would give me a stress related coronary.Mountain roads and deep hard pack snow is a bad combination.it’s where the term”White Knuckle” conditions came from…what color are you knuckles Tim?-yeah…I thought so.
lol
I enjoyed the ride be safe see you next time
Wild!! Glad you made it out safe dude 🤙🏻
Same here!
Bet that whole trip back north is insane! Glad you made it through bud!
Was indeed! videos coming haha
That camper set up is awesome 🔥
Thanks!
Hahaha - welcome to Canada!
You should be very happy that you get to travel all over the country. We appreciate that you share your experiences with us. It was kinda a hassle what you went through, but you will never for it. My daughter and her family just got back from Mexico tonight after being stranded for 3 weeks because they caught COVID while they were down there. They had to stay an extra week after their vacation was over until they all tested negative. They ended up having to stay in a 2nd rate motel for the last 5 days. I know they will never forget that vacation either. The extra week cost them at least an extra $1000.00. To bad they didn't have a truck house to live in.
Yup definitely super grateful:) That sucks about the hotel geeez.
Up into thay airrr ❤
Really glad I stumbled across your channel the other day. Great stuff.
Hey I live in Maine and wet ice is the sketchiest thing to drive on snow and cold ice are great to drive on be safe and love the channel bro
On the bright side, how often does one get to camp on a highway? lol I think I'd just head back to the US til spring. lol
Exactly haha.
And you were worried about crossing the border? Be safe here in Canada bro, love the vids.
Yup sure was, always lol.
Man you keep a great attitude through all this! I would have gone east to Glacier/Waterton NP and then north through Alberta. Good luck brother.
Thanks, would have but I was coming from Seattle.
Please be careful we need you.
Don't worry all the ice will melt off the Suzuki when you get to Alaska! 😜
lol
