Hi, I made the Star Fox Adventures corruptions. They were all memory edits I stumbled across while modding. The "everything is red" effect is actually in the game originally, unused.
The original crash screen just shows a couple numbers. For the mod I replaced it with a more helpful one. It usually gives an email address to send the reports to, but I replaced that because I didn't want 10000 funny crash reports.
I don't know why it's so loud that it breaks the limiter. Some of the sound is bugged because he's playing modded save states on an unmodded game, or because Krystal doesn't have some voice lines and uses Fox's instead. Otherwise, ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯ (also yes this game loves its stock sound effects)
I didn't realize if you threw the ball with lots of Trickys around they'd all get one. I also didn't anticipate them ganging up on her... oops. FYI, her model is not edited at all. The SPEEN was done by accident but of course I had to leave it in.
The mod lets you swap characters/languages/settings at will, fixes some bugs/annoyances, improves the HUD a bit, adds autosave, and lets you play around on some deleted maps. Just beware, it has a bug that freezes at the T-rex boss, so you need to switch to vanilla there.
I used the mod for corruptions because it has a mod menu that let me quickly jump around to different places to make it more interesting. also knew chat would be amused by the furbait.

@@legaiaflame it's a crude hack that just forces the camera to be right above the character's head. You can play the mod with just that (you can swap characters at will) but it needs a lot of work.

16:08 I am here to relay random, recently acquired knowledge imparted by the video "how are games rendering fur?" by Acerola. The way the grass is rendered here is called "shell texturing", which is basically an extremely low performance method of using 2D textures to create 3D representations of what would otherwise be incredibly dense and computationally expensive geometry (ex: fur, hair, grass, etc.)
The way this is done is essentially by stacking 2D texture planes then applying smoothing parameters to achieve an appearance that doesn't look like a bunch of floating squares stacked on top of each other (at least, modern variations apply smoothing, but I don't know if they could in 2002). These stacks can even have physics and real-time shading applied to them, allowing them to sell the effect of true 3D geometry even more. The benefit is pretty good-looking visuals for an extremely cheap performance impact, the downside is that the illusion falls apart if you look at the stacks from the side because you can literally see the gaps between the textures, as seen at the timestamp. If anyone reading this has played Dark Souls 1 and ever wondered why Sif's fur looks so weird, it's because they used shell texturing and you're always able to see through portions of the texture stacks simply due to the dynamic camera angles
All this to say, I had no idea that Starfox Adventures was using this technique all the way back in 2002 and, looking at it again now, it explains why the grass is surprisingly voluminous. Also just wanted to share this knowledge because it's always neat learning about the tricks that devs use to make their games look good

If we're going by Zelda 2 rules,I always thought that Hyrule Temple was supposed to be the North Castle in which Link starts at the beginning of the game,given that it was sealed for a thousand years before he became chosen by the triforce and open its doors to find the "original" sleeping princess Zelda
I mean, I feel like it's pretty obvious it's supposed to be one of the dungeons. It's called "Temple", it plays the music. And if you look closely in the intro or at prerelease screenshots you can see a platform-looking object that's not present in the final that was probably going to be an elevator.

The “Hyrule” part is just where the stage is located. It’s the same for other stages, like how Brinstar Depths is on Planet Zebes or Yoshi’s Island is a part of Yoshi’s Island.

I definitely agree with the good things you pointed out about Star Fox Adventures, but I would add another thing: I think the music is very good (David Wise composed for it)! Personally I always really liked Star Fox Adventures, mostly because the gameplay/structure is more like a Zelda game, which are some of my favorite games. Though I totally get how it is a bad STAR FOX game, and a poor fit for the series. And yeah the game does have problems, i.e. repetiveness, some of the tasks can get janky/frustrating/tedious, Tricky is annoying af
It's a good game but not a great one. You can really tell they ran out of time. The main thing I made the mod for was to fix some of the annoying/buggy parts.
If you look at the code, about half the map entries are blank, so, yeah.
