If that "dude" would stop saying "like" about 99% fewer times, I might be able to get through the whole session. But, like, I can't.
We upgraded to GTNs 10 years ago when they had not been out long. Best thing ever. We had the discussion about installing the old style GNXs which were the old technology even 10 years ago and we were told Garmin will withdraw support at some stage. Looks like that time has arrived. You are so right, just upgrade the old GNXs. The GTNs are so much quicker and easier to use, I love them. Never found the GNXs intuitive, cranking through those menus looking for stuff. Antiquated.
Dude…. This is brutal. Like def pretty sus…. I miss Paul and journalism.
Is Paul gone for good?
He has retired, may possibly be interviewed here or other places in the future. He has other personal obligations and priorities, now that he is retired.
Damn, I had no idea he retired. Good for him, but I sure will miss him and his videos.
Cloud seeding to increase rain is real
That's absolutely scientifically proven, some ski resorts have used this effectively.
Great channel ! Thx guys
Going, Going, GONE. Done w/ this format *Surely* somebody can fix this.........
It's too late, taken over by a "conglomerate".
With this year being a very political year, it'd be good to get some video or ask someone higher up in the FFA, like Dr. Kristy Dunks here, what do they think about the recent talks about aviation accidents and incidences being attributed to DEI, and whether or not that plays any factor at all in aviation. There is so much speculation without any proof that it muddies the water and puts aviation safety in a bad light.
Really poor preparation, really LOW excitement level. This is just terrible. So sad. AvWeb used to be the very best...
Where’s Paul?
Retired, details given elsewhere here in the comments.
Kudos to AVweb for not deleting all of the negative comments. Maybe that means they're listening...?
Truth is they rarely even look and never comment.
That is not the truth actually.
@@AVwebwow!!!
@@danblumel So, Dan. How do you respond to being caught spreading misinformation?
I thought the GNS video by Larry was useful and clearly backed by research. Didn’t come off as defending anyone instead he looked into all angles of the story. Maybe not everyone wants to upgrade for $10k+??? Doesn’t Larry work for Flying mag now? Odd comment for you to make about a coworkers video. Are these 2 college frat guys really the new AVweb??? 👎. Bertorelli and Larry were the originals
From the pinnacle of journalistic excellence (Paul Bertorelli) AvWeb nosedived to this? Couple of dudes (to use their vernacular) who cannot construct a proper sentence and every other word is “dude” and “like.” WTF!😮
Absolutely right, on your comments. Try "Taking Off" here on CZcams instead.
Is Paul not with Avweb anymore?
right? The difference is night and day. I weep for the future.
As a millennial pilot who will never be able to afford a plane, I enjoy listening to plane gossip from other millennials who will also never afford aviation.
This guy gets it.
you enjoy bad things
Haha, ya the sound of someones voice can totally ruin the content, i find this with aviation media a lot
I've given you 10mins twice. Now 7mins. Maybe I'll just unsubscribe a while.
Maybe this will be branded as "Boomer-splaining" or whatever, but yeah, professionalism. Been using it for 40+ years as a career aviator. Real useful. Works great. Ought to try it sometime. Where's Larry? Where's Paul?
First time watching this duo. Hard to take seriously the dude with the SD hat. Sorry guess I’m hard to please…
While Kristi's was very informative, the "dudes" are not what Avweb is all about. Where is Paul?
Paul has Retired, more details can be found elsewhere here in the comments.
WAS a nice channel... Bye........
Watch their subscriber count tumble to half or less. Typically half of subscribers never even watch, they subscribed years ago and rarely if ever come back.
I'll stay subscribed to give you a chance more, but the channel's late development is going very much the wrong way... From precise, concise and well formulated with a seemingly journalistic approach... to what ever this is. It is a shame. Sometimes it is better to end something when good (and leave what was done and its legacy in peace). Happy landings
What a bunch of garbage. I don’t even own a 430 and this explanation pisses me off. Just spend 15000 thousand plus when all you need is a new screen or whatnot. I’m a pilot for a legacy and I can afford this, but there are pilots out there with Skyhawks and Comanches just trying to keep flying, working regular jobs and this represents a very large chunk of change. Yeah, the new radios will be better, but functionally for many it won’t make a damn bit of difference. I’m not much older than these guys, but this is a poor attitude to have on what was a professional production.
Dude, like just spend the money. It's like, not that hard broski.
I'm sorry I'm sure these are great guys and very knowledgeable, but probably not a good choice for a podcast. There is a certain energy level and other intangibles that are required to make a podcast popular.
