Excellent song - yet another cool discovery from that treasure trove of metal that is Scandinavia. Don't forget Nachtblut's 'Lied for die Gotter'. I know I'm the only person requesting them but they need a bit of love here on YT. Have an awesome week guys.

Nordic Countries*
Scandinavia is a region consisting of Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The entire cultural group that includes Iceland and Finland is the Nordic Countries, which derives from the Scandinavian term "Norden", which is the general term for the area where Scandinavians and their descendants live.
It's an easy mistake to make, but it's basically the same thing when people tell you you shouldn't confuse the UK with Great Britain.

Yeah their song Ragnarök will definitely play in your heads for the next two months after you listen to it :D The video is also cool, it has video clips recorded at Nummirock festival in Finland which is a midsummer festival and I go there every year. It's in the middle of the forest in a small town but that stage is next to a lake so it is very suitable for all epic bands to play!
Wintersun also played on that same (Inferno) stage when they were releasing the Forest Seasons album. That gig was also posted on CZcams but the weather was horrible at that time 8-)
Talking about the guitar melodies in Brymir, the same guy plays nowadays in Battle Beast and they also have some nice melodies and riffs. Very talented guy and he knows how to have fun on stage!
This song went straight into my playlist, really liked it! Also reminded me alot of Wintersun! :) Looking forward for the Insanity's Crescendo - Dark Tranquillity :)

I started to think of those miniature thingies with a women dancing around inside a glass cupola when shake it snows! Wish they had used that melody in the song too but....

p3, totally agree about that intro. I loved it so much that I think my perception of the song was ruined a bit because it was left behind. However, the song grew on me so I was back onboard by the end.

For the next Wintersunday, I'd like to recommend "One Within The Sun" by Atavistia. They're a very talented one-man melodic death metal band from Canada by Matt Sippola 🇨🇦 he does everything!

Brymir is such a good band and slayer of the gods is an awesome album. It gave me a lot of goosebumps the first time I listened to it. My favorite song is retribution, but ragnarök is epic too. I'm 100 % sure you'll love the song a lot more than this one here.

Can't remember if I've ever requested Brymir but I clicked on the video really fast when I saw it. Brymir is definitely one of the best folk metal bands.
I'd recommend Stormsoul from the second album and Breathe Fire to the Sun from the first album (Ragnarok isn't a bad choice but BFttS is IMO better).
You should also try Turisas - Battle Metal or To Holmgard and Back. Not as fast as most of what Brymir does but just as bombastic and epic.
For choirs you should definitely check out Blind Guardian - And then there was SIlence. One of the most epic songs ever written.
Also a random piece of info, Brymir's other guitarist and their keyboardist are both also members of Battle Beast.

Come on guys!! I can't believe that you haven't reacted to Rhapsody of Fire lol, you should have reacted to this band months ago! It's one of the most important Power Metal(more specific, Symphonic Power Metal) bands in the world, they are from Italy and I recommend to you the songs "Dawn of Victory" and "Emerald Sword"

Brymir annoys me, I love the music, but their Slayer of Gods or whatever albums cover art has nudity so I can't listen to their music which god damn sucks lol.

not one of the best Brymir songs imo...the song is all over the place...there is no distinctive line of melody..they did way better than this in their 1st two albums...hope this is not what they would consider the pinnacle of the new album...love the Undrask t-shirt.
