Being from Texas, Buc-Ees is a road trip STAPLE. Gotta pee? Buc-Ees. TONS of CLEAN restroom stalls. Need a snack? Or a meal? Cool they have snacks AND make meals in store. What about home decor? Yup, Buc-Ees is a one stop shop 😂😍 PS yes they are very loud cause Texans are loud 😂 TRY THE BREAKFAST TACOS NEXT TIME! The hippo taco is my favorite!!
Buccee’s is definitely an experience lol. Always busy, always well stocked, always clean. Very few texas closets are devoid of some kind of Buccee’s wear! 😂 I have 4 shirts, my son has two and some pants lol. Texans regularly buy Buccee stuff as gifts for eachother. 😂
Don't worry Mary I have the same sense of humor I seen Beavis and Butt-head live in my head too LOL.
And then the Buc-ee's Cosmic pops me and my husband think that they're either Pop Rocks or freeze dried soda, But me and my husband have never been to a Buc-ee's don't quote us on it.

I have one about 20mins from me. It never gets old. It’s interesting to read on how they got started. Also the billboard signs on the highways and interstate are hilarious! It’s about $100 every time we go. Lol

Bucee's certainly needed to be big considering it is from Texas 😆 glad you enjoyed a Texas stable Mary! (Even though they aren't just in my home state any longer). I just took a trip over the weekend with my littles ❤ we enjoy Bucee's (even though the crowds are something else).
I'm curious though, did they have local art displayed inside the South Carolina Bucee's or was it Texas themed? 🤔

My nearest Buc-ee's is 6 hours away in Georgia. I went for the first time coming back from Florida to Illinois in May. The restrooms were the most impressive thing ever. Then I just went back in December, again coming from Florida and stopping at the same place. 8 months pregnant and shoving my way through the crowds. Definitely went over board! I just threw away my left over stale fudge. My grandma and I loved the Beaver Nuggets cause they aren't super sweet, but are so easy to eat the whole bag in one sitting. I had to grab another shirt and got the New Years one. Got a watermelon themed one in May.
My boyfriend and I went on a huge cross country trip a few years ago. I remember when we drove through the south, we kept on wondering who this beaver guy was. He had signs all over the freeway! Now I wish we had stopped by one lol

Omg I was waiting to comment to see if you got the cookies!! They are the BEST. The lemon flavor is good too but mannnn the salty & sweet are addictive. I live about 40 minutes away from the closest Buc-ee’s, it’s a struggle not to go too often for the cookies alone 😂

I love buc-ees. Their business model is really good too. They pay better wages than the surrounding gas stations, near me starts at $16 up to like $30 an hour for management. I like businesses that make an effort to be better to employees.
We went to one near where I grew up over Christmas break. My 6 year old asked if we could go to the silly beaver store 😂. I was shocked to see the wages displayed for the jobs that were open!
You clearly haven't looked into that enough. They get ten minute breaks. There are no break rooms. They cannot sit down. They are not allowed to have their phones with them for any reason. The wages are not worth it.
@@dmaz4406 I can see why that would be annoying but for context, the only other comparable jobs in my area for the money they pay are in manufacturing. all the gas stations and fast food pay like $10 an hour.
So if the choice is factory worker or bucees, both jobs hold similar phone and break policies but one is dangerous and the other is a cute beaver store…. I forgot to mention my local store cashier jus told me she gets no breaks, and makes 9.50 an hour. I hope she gets out of there soon.

I'm probably one of the few Texans that has never been to a Bucc-ees, they just weren't in my part of Northeast Texas. And I wasnt gonna drive the over 4 hours to get to the nearest 1 to me. So I very am glad to see you went there🤠

The original Buc-ee’s is in Brazoria, Texas…on the Texas coast about an hour south of Houston, and the corporate offices are in the next town over in Lake Jackson. Definitely a Texas thing! 🤠
One thing of special note: Buc-ee’s has single-handedly raised the bar in half of Texas for gas station restroom cleanliness ✨ And they advertise it on highway billboards. My fave: “We’re #1 in #2!” 😅
Go to Buccees at Christmas time Mary! It’s crazy but you can do all your Christmas shopping there!
I’ve never been to Buc’ees, but my daughter brought me Nuggets and they are wonderful! Their ground coffee is great too! Can’t wait to go there, there’s one by Daytona👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Oh my goodness I didn’t know they had any outside of Texas! I’m glad you enjoyed it. My personal faves are the chopped brisket sandwich and their fresh baked cookies. The beaver nuggets are very good but they are a bit too sweet for me. They taste like syrup and butter to me, but I haven’t had them in years. Hopefully I stay awake long enough to see what all you bought 😊
There is a billboard sign here in Indiana (yes, Indiana) that says "Buc-ee's 565 miles!" or something like that. It cracks me up every time I see it LOL

Theres a reason the Texans try to gatekeep their Buccees!! Im a michigander who moved to San Antonio, TX., and I love Buc-cees too. I love how clean it is, I love how CHEAP the fresh food is, and I adore their house brand candy and snacks, especially all of the saltwater taffy flavors!! I have not had the joy of going to Buccees just to go there, it's always been turned a long drive, but I'd definitely love to go one day with Buccees being the trip destination.
Sadly we don’t have one in Louisiana I hope they build one here one day so I can visit it :)

Beaver nuggets are sooo good, SUPER unhealthy. As you say "this is not health food". 😅 BUT they are a nice treat to try when you go there. They are basically cheese puffs but instead of cheese powder it's a maple syrup/caramel glaze that makes them sweet and crunchy. They are yummy. 😋 Glad you got to go and you had fun.

They are currently building a Buccees five minutes from our subdivision and I have mixed emotions 😅 part of me is excited and then the other part is very concerned about how drastically it will change our quiet end of Sevier County.
