This guy is underrated as a coach. What he has done with this program and his success at UCF should get more positive spotlight.
All people see is 13-0 then Heupel took over and went 12-1 , 10-3 and 6-4.
People take it as he couldn’t recruit or coach as well but obviously. These people are casuals. UCF isn’t any powerhouse program and Heupel did great there.
Going 6-4 in the Covid year doesn’t really matter.
It was just a bump and look at Gus Malzahn now.
He hasn’t hit one 10 win season yet in 3 years at UCF. That still isn’t bad though because it’s UCF. Shouldn’t be expected to be a 10 win program yet.

@@bobbysmith3196 Keep in mind, Heupel lost two starting QB's during that time. 6-4 year included. If it were any other offense and coach, they'd have gone 2-10. lol Plus that had over 30 opt outs. Bama was too chicken to play UCF, so was UGA and every other team. UCF destroyed AU and AU beat Bama that year. Respectable. All this while the team recruited in the 60's tard.. lol
@@bobbysmith3196 I thought USF was bigger. Wrong about TN. Even with the 8th ranked SEC QB, TN had the 2nd best season since the Fulmer era and Heupel was responsible for the best season since Fulmer. The refs had to save Bama in the TN game, it was 20-7 at halftime at Bama. lol. No team has had that kind of lead at Bama at the half under Saban. Bama has no chance at TN this year. Heupel also put 52 on Bama with a dual style QB lol. Most points on Bama in 100 years. Hooker is a good passer but Nico is a better one. At least that is the projection. Bama was too chicken to play UCF, or ever schedule them cause they know they could lose to them. AU did that year and AU beat Bama. Can't blame UCF a bit for self-proclaiming.

Even if he doesn’t, it doesn’t matter. He’s built this program into a playoff contender, and soon, a perennial playoff team. Even if he never wins it all, he’ll have been a phenomenal coach. Easily the best since Fulmer.

If a QB gets a ear piece so should an LB or Safety
Whys it fair that 1 side of the ball gets the advantage of getting their play in and not dealing with signs or signals, but the defense will still have to operate that way?
I dont think that's fair
Per the proposal, one offensive and one defensive player would wear listening devices, and communications with the sidelines would shut off with 15 seconds left on the play clock.

TN is a program with 6 natties so it's not unusual for them to rise. Plus, too much invested lately to have anything worse than a 9 win season since Heupel came. I expect 10 or more wins for them this season.
