Either way they couldn't work as Apocrypha's main characters simply because they don't fit its theme, but I don't see anything wrong with how they and their stories were used, they found their answers and left in a very satisfying way, other complaints are just fans fetishizing Mordred or never looking beyond the tip of their nose.

Both Seig and Seigfreid have the Armor of Fafnir already equipped. Now if this was Sigurd that’s a very different story. Mordred would definitely get cooked.

When having the full access to his Dragon Core his usage of Balmung was EX ranked and could reach the Stratosphere, litterally. Sieg had access to the full power and knowledge of Siegfried and used his techniques and skills properly. Except he hadn't steeled himself to Kill a target and therefore held back unconsciously, Mordred states give him another chance to ready himself and he would be at her level and then exceed her. But even that status is still short of the Living Hero Siegfried.

Took on and defeated Frankenstein, Astolfo, Sieg clone, had even fought and nearly defeated Assassin, and Archer. later fights Spartacus, and even kills Semiramis in her hanging gardens Noble Phantasm which was supposed to make her invincible. She isn't weak.

Also to survive Frans noble phantasm, sisigo had to use a command spell to boost her unless she would have been vaporized by blasted tree(read the manga). And sorry to say, but if mordred can't even beat a "Fake" siegfried even with a proper supply of magical energy, a continuous use of her mana burst and another boost command and unleashing the sword the killed the king of knights. Yep seem pretty desapointing huh? And that's saying something.

And Sieg isn't weaker than Siegfried, in this video he's just still doesn't used to using Siegfried's power, in his 3rd transformation he's literally stronger than servant Siegfried (not living Siegfried), cuz Sieg is a walking mana sources so he can just spamming Balmung while Siegfried can't do anything like that.
