For everyone confused about Quetzalcoatl being in a female form or why she's using lucha libre moves its because 1. She has many forms to take from ALL the countless humans she has possessed throught the times, like this female body. It's just one of the many forms she can use 2. She loves lucha libre because of being summoned 1 time ( presumably ) by someone around that time or era and fell in love with how they fight freely and how they use their moves. It made her feel like they were free and having fun, thats why she loves lucha. So i hope that answered some of your questions about how she's shown female or how her love for lucha began ✌️

@@jefthereaper yes I know originally saber was supposed to be male and shiro a female but that was scrapped due to a FMC not bringing enough attention/ not being as relatable so they opted for the female saber and male shiro we know today. I know type moon has been doing this since the get go it’s why king Arthur’s son mordred is female as well. I just wanted to let everyone know why Quetzalcoatl is female instead of male and why she uses Lucha libre instead of her “ normal “ fighting style.

The uniqueness would have made it so much better, and I usually end up liking a log of the male servants too.

I could argue that the series lost their touch after the first VN, but from a commercial standpoint they succeeded very well due to their main focus is selling waifu's instead of a good story.
Something regrettably as none of the sequels ever touched and interested me as deeply as the original Fate and Tsukihime novels did.

One: Quetzalcoatl has a passive skill goddess of all that is good, granting her immunity to any form of damage from good aligned characters, i.e everyone except taiga
Two: she is a goddess of the sun, venus, arts, crafts, and innovation
Just being a goddess already puts her on another level, but a goddess of arts includes all kinds of arts, like martial arts, her favourite being lucho libre wrestling ,like gilgamesh being able to access all weapons across human history due to owning the inspirations for all of said weapons
Finally she is an aztec goddess, the same people who invented a sport that uses the decapitated heads of their enemies as the balls, im pretty sure that that speaks for itself

If i remember correctly wasn't one of quetsalcoatle in human form was bearded white man, posibly just a myth created by colonists but still a posibility.
Well, Ishtar is a deity from the mesopotamia region and in the anime is portrayed as a red-eyed white girl, King Arthur was a man and in the anime is portrayed as a blue-eyed blonde girl (the same for his son Mordred), Nero was a guy, but in the anime he is portrayed as a red-eyed blonde, and so on 😂😂

A curious fact that many ignore about quetzalcóatl fights is that his fighting style is based on Mexican Wrestling, from doing "hurracarana" holds, flying kicks, whipping, ironing and jumping from the third rope (in this case, I use a structure to reach up and knock it out of the air). Nice touch that he also spoke a little Spanish, although it would have been nice if he had spoken Maya or Mexica (languages related to Quetzalcoatl)
Spanish is most recognizable outside of Mexico itself and Guatemala (Guatemala also has speakers of Mayan and 20 other indigenous languages) Besides, I highly doubt that there are many VAs who know how to pronounce a little Mayan

Also keep in mind she was being quite literal here. Quetz was playing the role of a villain but was actively doing everything in her power to help humanity.
Tezcatlipoca recently came out in the Japan server. His personality is one of a "king" who does as he wishes, as "a King's desires comes over the concept of good and evil," regardless of sides, as the only side he's on is that of conflict. He believes that a war is one in which both sides lose something and thus has a problem with the protagonist's approach to trying to save as many people as possible and protecting their own. He respects and honors deals he makes, even if it's to his own detriment, and will even through in something to make up for the perceived difference in value if he thinks that you offered him something greater than what you asked for in a deal.
@@TheExveemon Then they've got some characteristics right about him. As Tezcatlipoca is not supposed to be good nor evil. He likes causing conflicts between people, from there is his name Necoc Yaotl (enemy of both sides) coming from. That being said, he has a very complex and (seemingly) self-conflicting personality.
As for having a problem with someone who would try to save as many lives as possible, that would be out of character for him. He supposed to be unpredictable as he does how he pleases and it also depends on what he sees about the person in his smocking mirror.

I know it's a fighting game and he "serves" the antagonist, so he has to have an issue with the protagonist's goals.

He also DOES do whatever he wants, however he wants, whenever he wants, with his own Master not really knowing what he'll do next and thus having basically no control over him.
A quote from him at a higher bond level is "Running away, being unfamiliar with killing, distrusting justice. Such cowards can't be recognized as warriors. Those words I gave you haven't changed even now. People who fight threats they are no match to, and people who don't give up even if they're killed, those I give them a warm welcome as warriors. Although Quetzalcoatl has been represented as a woman, I appreciate the fact that a god from Mexican mythology 🇲🇽 is shown in this anime.

A curious point of Quetzalcoatl's insane Power is that in the dragon maid anime, lucoa, who is Quetzalcoatl, isn't even with the ones for chaos or Harmony like the other dragons. She has to be part of the spectators, cause If she were more active in the dragons and humans existence, the balance between opposites would be totally unfair, not to say broken.

I actually have to agree, at least with only partial context.
In the context of a normal Fate franchise story, where the heroic spirits want to keep some secrets, that would be mostly ok. But when Que is in their native region, it makes not sense it wouldn't appear as a more standard version.
