This past weekend of the OWCS Majors at Dreamhack Dallas showcased a ton of new viable heroes at the highest level. This tier list is late for the final 2 weeks of the season, I held off on an early tier list because they kept hotfixing and patching things every week, nothing was truly stable until now.

@@orc3266as a support main, I'd rather get rid of half the DPS than have our roster shrink again. Especially since what your co-support picks can make it so 2/3 of the role will be horrible picks (sometimes 3/5 depending on the rest of your team comp)

For Bap v Winston. If you anticipate yourself getting dived, position yourself below high ground. When Winston jumps you, you jump up to highground to keep distance. If Winston jumps you again, you drop, he drops, you jump back up. You can buy yourself plenty of time that way.
If he hits you with the jump it will probably force both your cooldowns out because the knockback stops the jump as it knocks you up so no ground connection, that's why playing at the edge of a high ground is better so he can't land the jump punch on you, as when your on low ground if he does a horizontal jump you may not be able to react but in most situations unless he's close and does it perfectly the vertical jumps are way more reactable

In my opinion, Sym has always consistently been one of the most underrated niche picks in OW's history. She's awkward to play, awkward to play with, and awkward to play against. But very strong if left uncontested

Honestly the devs need to commit to making Orisa a brawl tank. Bring back her falloff damage and buff the mobility aspects of her kit. A horse should not be a slow character.

I think hes fine at the moment. Hes a niche pick thats good on some maps and with some comps which is fine for him. I believe not all characters should be designed with competitive play in mind and can just be fun like junkrat for example. I think reaper whenever hes strong is just boring to play with and against.

Zen just stays being either OP or terrible. Really wish they would shift power away from discord so he can have more power elsewhere.
As a zen otp I agree, discord needs a rework or else tanks will always complain about it w/o zen being able to have any sort of survivability (bc tanks complain about that too).
I’d rather they split the discord orb and make it apply to 2 enemies at a weaker power. Also give him another harmony while we at it. Tf he got 8 orbs on his neck and uses one for harmony and discord.
Give him 2 healing orbs and reduce the discord orb dmg increse to 10% or so but at the same time give only him augmented discord dmg to 30% so he's more offensive in a 1v1 but offensively weaker in teamfights while also making him more useful in other way (healing in this case). This would also make him get his ult faster too
@m.artifex2001 zen is fine, the problem is he has one of the worst ults in the game even though he's a support. Trans is just terrible, zen gets taken out of the fight and his teammates still die through it all the time.
@@lukasg4807as a zen player I can agree with the ult. People still just end up dying but you don’t have to necessarily be on the defensive with the ult. It can also be used offensively as well.

Mercy is struggling to fit into the meta when her best synergies are S tier or A+ tier…they have to rework or tweak her somehow
Mercy is a low elo character there’s not much you can do with her at higher ranks

Make it so she can't guardian angel to the same player twice in a row but buff something else about her (ultimate generation, incoming damage reduction while ressing, whatever) so she fits again in higher elo and get rid of the annoying pocket playstile
I’m a lowly gold supp player, but if you can communicate with other supp to stick to the tank and you follow soj/cass/ashe/pharah around, it allows your dps to hold angles longer and get those picks since people tend to react much slower in these lower ranks. I have a 80% WR with her when I have 2 viable dmg boost dps to follow around. She definitely falls off when your team is running tracer/genji/junk/mei/reaper.
Also helps if you have a roadhog, then it really frees up your other supp to dps a lot more and just tap heal every now and then.
No way does Mauga out of everyone bypasses the tank crit changes...

Surprised to see DVa so high tbh. The devs even admitted she was the biggest loser of the mid-season and it's definitely noticeable with how reliant she is on her armour which was net-nerfed.
it also seemed to be the consensus on SVB's Group Up podcast that she doesn't fill any niches right now and any reason you want to play her can be better achieved through a different hero

Wow, who would have thought a support with a nearly guaranteed escape everytime, suzu as a get out of jail card for your entire team or yourself, consistent damage and an ultimate that can turn around fights on its own would always be a good character? If lamp has an over 20 seconds cooldown suzu should too, it’s such a bullshit ability it’s insane it hasn’t been nerfed to oblivion after god knows how many seasons by now…
I honestly feel like (as long as they aren't feeding) Venture is now a better pairing with Ball than Genji, Sombra, or Tracer was. From my experience Balling, Venture just has so much more survivability, with all the mobility and burst they could need to capitalize on my dives. Again, IF THEY AREN'T FEEDING

Pharah most often was in C and now in A+. In silver/bronze she is like S tier. She needs more fuel nerf.

It’s crazy to me how in overwatch 1 the games where full of life where your teammate communicate and talk for synergies and team plays. But in overwatch 2 it’s opposite of that and became a Deathmatch game
A meta where roadhog is good is never a fun meta. It’s absurd how they straight up allowed him to one shot hook combo again even without the trap

However, you should do the tier list for normal rank player, like you used to do (from regular players up to high master). I find that normally more interesting; and give more information about how the heroes perform in both esports and normal ranks.
I love lifeweaver rn. I can keep up with my (metal ranks) dps and tank kill wise and outheal almost everyone. Really hard to kill from close range and a good shield buster.

See this mentality is why people don’t understand overwatch, there’s characters anyone can play this is a objective fact, look at Moira literally a character made for people with disabilities that they don’t need the most mechanical skill, then theres genji where not everyone can play and actually have to put months into learning and bam next you know you’re ghost dashing which isn’t something the game tells you to do nor people have the mechanical skill to do a near perfect 180 I.e people that on console or people in the metal ranks who pick him because he’s good on this tier list

@@moth5414 How so? Pharah has been a projectile dps since the game's inception, yet remains the most iconic mercy-pocket target in the history of Overwatch. Mercy damage boost effectively halves Hanzo's time to kill, while only improving it by the damage boost percentage for most hitscan, why is that less valuable somehow?
@@wyrda1602 Phara can fly and take off angles very quickly.
Especially after her rwwork she can close in very large horizontal distances very quickly and will usually always be a safe flight path for Mercy whenever she's up in the air.
Pocketing Hanzo in that sense is similar to pocketing Ashe or Sojourn tbh. Sure, neither Ashe nor Sojourn can oneshot even with boost, but they are just way more consistent in actually hitting their shots in order for the Mercy pick to even be worth it. Their application of pressure has much less downtime, hits more frequently and both offer better ultimates too, both of which can be pocketed.
Hanzo pocket can work, but it's simply less consistent and therefore less desirable.
@@wyrda1602pharah benefited from mercy for a different reason. before her rework, pharah required a mercy to function. Pharah’s one job was to spam rockets at the enemy team from the skybox to make it difficult for the enemy team to take her down. it wasn’t so much that mercy was good with her (mercy was really good with her), it was more to do with the fact that pharah (before her rework) forced mercy to latch onto her. if the mercy didn’t pocket the pharah then the pharah would die off cooldown and the team would lose the game.
Its crazy how several heroes zen is good with (sig, mauga, ball, echo, tracer, bap, brig) and good against (mauga, hog, ram, rein) are high tiered but he is so low.
He's just in a tough spot where his niche has been outclassed by the sheer flexibility of other options. Why pick a zen when kiri, bap, illari, or even ana can do his job (maybe to a lesser effectiveness) but can also do so much more outside of it. And if you are just focusing on a dps playstyle (ex. Sunflower comp), the other supports can guarantee survivability to stay in the fight longer. His power isn't worth it if he's just playing respawn simulator.
I think the main problem is he has the worst support ult

as a doom main it's actually so depressing getting counterpicked into the depths of hell the millisecond you start getting value. Outplaying the sombra and feeling like a Chad? Now you need to worry about hinder, sleep, and a hog hook on 2nd point as well as the sombra you were previously worried about. There's too many characters that make him basically unplayable

They should change reapers teleport so if he damages a hero a certain amount, and they use an escape, his teleport acts like Kiri's and he teleports to the enemy he just damaged.

Dang I just started this game and Zenyatta and Soilder 76 are like God tier to me. I was really messing people up with them. The best way to play “Zen” is to understand you are a support character first and foremost. If you don’t understand that then you will always be bad with Zen. Now don’t get me wrong you can play very aggressive with Zen, but at the end of the day your job is to heal. The way I heal is I don’t necessarily find the tank or dps, I find the player that is mostly on the offense and pretty much always attacking and stay behind them for heal support and also damage from my own abilities. You have to find a serious balance and can’t just “play” you have dummy strategic and make an educated decision. Should I heal mostly? Should I go on the offense more? Every game is different and you can’t always play the same so that’s why I think I like the character as much as I do.
Honestly lifeweaver just needs a big quality of life change/buff with his thorns. His thorns do good damage, but it feels awful going from them into having to charge up his heal. Theres been so many times where i’ll try to deal some damage just for someone to get headshot and need healing quick, but then I have to charge it up and pray they don’t die or burn pull just to keep them alive. He needs something like sojurn has where he can charge up 25 healing and then switch to thorns and keep that 25 until you switch back so you don’t have to start at 0. Or something like after having thorns out for X seconds it’ll charge up and cap at X amount of healing. I find it funny that after buffing his heals 5 seasons ago blizzard thought he was healing too much and nerfed his heal numbers and pull. When all they had to do was make his thorns actually worth using which would make him heal less without having to nerf him.
Let a single heal charge in the background like Kiriko's suzu do, or speed up his reload speed while weapon swapped. A fluid mix of thorns and blossoms instead of having to hard commit to one or the other would make him a lot more interesting to play, then they can look at doing things like lowering his pure healing output.

Saying 3 or 4 way counterpicking isn't a thing in metal ranks (Reinhardt section) is absolutely insane. I play in mid gold - low plat and I can basically force the enemy team into 5 winston counterswaps nearly every game. Idk how you play reinhardt into a tank buster team because that is what you will very, very frequently face in metal ranks if you are good at tank.
Whats crazy is alot of people dont believe me when i say reaper is one of the worst hero and definitely the worst dps
I've only ever seen reaper once every 20-30 games. Only sym is as rare in a game for me nowadays

Ram has dropped, sadly. I've definitely noticed with the changes to him. He can still do his thing but at times he feels weaker. Rein on the other hand has improved a little bit.
They thing is i literally dont know (but maybe i skipped that) in which way this tier list should be... focused on pro play? focused on scrim/stack? focused for ranked? i guess there are many options possible in pro play but espacially in ranked - i guess the tier list should be kinda different BUT its fine - different opinions are fine and thank you for the input with this tierlist =D

Good grabs can change the whole game, but hard to rank up at low elo because you have to be the diff and he is an HEALBOT.
So i would recommand to press damage every time your team mates are safe, be agressive when you can !
He requires a good gamesens (all characters does but he is tall and targeting, so good positioning can be the solution)

Why do you sounds so different on your main channel?
They should have a huge tournament, except it’s put into sections. There are these mini tournaments that are just between specific ranks. Like Bronze vs Bronze, etc.. then whatever team wins in there rank, goes against all the other champions. So you could have the best bronze versus the best silver, best gold versus best plat, best diamond versus best master, etc…
Putting rein in anything other than F tier would make flats have a heart attack 😭
Loved the pharah changes so much that I main her now. Only issue is as soon as someone dies once to me the whole enemy team swaps to counter me.
That’s the thing tho. The enemy team isn’t supposed to just let a pharah run free. So with that being said. She is strong and can stay that way as long as she can be contained with multiple hitscans. Seems simple enough
@@MetroBreezyy Fair enough. I will say my mind set is to counter who ever is carrying the enemy side. If I see a pharah I don't immediately counter unless they seem to know how to use her.
As a dps player you get threatened with reporting IF you don't counter pharah and shoot at the sky all game -.-

23:00 Yeah venture is not a character that gets a great statline, that is not their job. Sure lots of deaths is bad but expecting them to do Ashe levels of damage is crazy. They are a displacement, assassin, brawl and space creator hero. Burrowing under the supports for several second yields no damage or elims still it grants tons of value since the supports will move around you
A hero that has a dash, burrow, with shield regen on cd usage, should not have 15 deaths regardless of what their job is
I find it hilarious that Mauga and Venture making competitive picks is somehow a shocker. They are easily so overtuned they have become hard meta especially as a combo. Venture can put out so much damage and move around so quickly all while Mauga takes all the damage being the new version of immortal RoadHog.
Pharah is good because mauga gives her lifesteal or LW can pull her back during ult ? I fail to see the reasoning.

Someone checked his group/solo win rate (200+ games from S9) bc he always gloats about it. It actually proved that he wins more as a group even though he swears up and down that a group (throwing his own friends under the bus) holds him back

I played queen on coliseo, and it’s usually a good pick. BUT enemy team had Ana, sojourn, Cassidy…. I’ve never been deleted so freaking fast in my life. I got the anti splash from Ana and just fell over immediately

really waiting for that rework as a reaper player... and possibly a buff, pretty please... reaper's damage got nerfed at the beginning of OW2 when the armor change made shotguns better, but now that that has been reverted I hope he also gets that damage back
Hanzo is usable but he aint worth playing no more. He became a spam lord and nothing else at this point.

I’ve seen only one Venture that I respected in the last month and was forced to counter them. The rest are decent, but only one had the skill set to be above Diamond. We were going to lose because their Venture was destroying us (Like what? How?) So I switched to Venture too knowing I would get diffed but it was our only shot. Just a hunch really because if Venture is causing this much confusion in my backline I’ll just try it myself on them. Threw all logic and experience out the window and said trust me boys, I’ll get us home to momma. Tank switched to Mauga and BOOM BABY we just barely squeaked by with the dub. the list for tanks is fucked you cant say rein is shit at high ranks and great at low ranks so well average it out at an A. Thats not how it works cause hes not an A tier hero for almost anyone, hes either rlly good or rlly bad depending on your rank. and sig is only A tier cause hes good into hog and mauga meaning that monkey shouldnt be A tier cause he rlly struggles to play into mauga and hog (who are rlly strong) like ???. if you play monkey they just counterswap to hog and he gets loads of value not just into you but in the lobby as a whole cause hes an A tier hero
I think these tier list videos would be better if you did it with someone else. Maybe a high ranked tank or dps player that's able to add a bit more input or challenge some of your opinions to get some added depth
You should do a tier list with your viewers for like Gold Plat tier. See whats good and such
idk why you mention mauga+venture as a seperate tier but showcase a pro play where they strictly only use mauga+genji and put him in A tier regardless
Im ball mainer and im happy that no one hates ball anymore, nobody writes "tank swap" before match even starated.
even when we are lose and all my team hates me - enemies says that im very cool on ball and thats not my fault.
Now I feel that I can carry the game, I can kill anyone even if mercy or moira heals him - I have enough damage for make them go back and dont even kill anybody because they fear me.
Ball is great as long as the rest of your team is going dive OR not getting dived. If your team is getting dived and the back line is suffering than swap or your just causing that same pain you feel as tank for other roles.
My wife is a one trick Mercy (i had to basically force her to play) and i run a lot of lifeweaver and it axtually works very well. But that's also in silver lobbies.
Im not so great on all the technical mumbo jumbo but this make me think about nerfing hog to have smaller pellets and their justification is "Road Hog hasnt found large enough chunks ot scrap lately so hes got smaller pellets lmao"
