This is a huge improved version of the Plague Mage as it basically does almost the same damage but now you can tank everything in the game. It's a very friendly build towards newer players who are struggling to beat the Crucible. Build made in the Early Access “Patch 1” may 5th.

Nerf to focus generation is going to kill this game. You may want to check out the upgrading of weapons and armor now, can't buy stacks of planks or ingots anymore from the crafting vendors. You have to make them and it's extremely slow up to 8 minutes for 1 bar and can only stack 8 at a time, takes 1 hour for 8 bars.
Let me give you some advice. To roll an affix on a staff that gives a percentage of life after a murder is a must-have! And then everyone except the echo knight will not be a hindrance to you. At the same time, you can change the armor on the carcass to a lighter one and win in mobility. The giant problem of this build is the lack of mobility. Echo knight manages to either stuff damage with a spear, or you don't have time to roll away from his puddles with damage

Nice video. For the battle mage theme i think that the Ice Breaker is a nice addition, as it is a zweihender with a great scale with int.
I have one! And you know what I'll tell you? It's fucking amazing! The ice Breaker with the ice throw rune humiliates the Echo Knight.

I have a video on how I level up new characters, it’s kinda of a guide but not sure if it’s what you are looking for. You can check the video where I level up from level 1 to 30 doing only crucible, if you are interested you can find the video on my channel somewhere in the last 10 videos.
@LarryPuss Larry, I think I've already asked this question, but.... I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself. Your battle mage build is wonderful. But he has one Achilles' heel. In battle with the echo knight, he does not have time to dodge attacks and often dies in a series of piercing sword attacks. I tried replacing the staff with a staff with the affix 1 percent life theft when dealing damage, but it doesn't help much. Maybe I'm cancer and I have crooked hands (to put it in Russian, my skill is shit), but still we are a combat magician and I would like to live longer. Please tell me, do you see any other improvements to this build? Maybe another staff or a combination of other affixes? Maybe the armor is lighter, but win in mobility. Give me some advice, please.
So, the point of this build is to give you lots or armor and especialy POISE but comparative to other souls like games poise works differently here.
In Dark Souls for example the Poise Stat is an in-game statistic that increases your resistance to being staggered or stun-locked as an effect of taking hits from opponents. Staggered: an enemy's attack interrupts your action.
In this game its either broken or I'm not seeing much of an improvement, as if poise would have worked the way other souls like games work you could have just stand still and constantly use either spells or potions without being Staggered or Knockback.
Now even if we don't have the "Knockback resistance" in the character meniu I did see it as a stat percentage "Knockback resistance" on rare armor, it's something I need to start testing and see if it has any effect.
Another thing to do for you currently and should be easier than to try to get the knockback resistance, is to invest even more points into the health stat as health is better at surviving then armor so you could try to go with a lighter armor and add more health points or try to find gear that gives you more health increase. Also the more overall health you have the "gain health on damage dealt" stat will also give you better lifesteal. Hope this helps you in your wicked journey.
@@LarryPuss Thank you, Larry! Everything is as you say, but in practice it turns out that this asshole ruins me like a standing man. As soon as puddles appear, that's it, it's an ass. I tried to take lighter armor, but I only managed to hold out for the first phase. - unfortunately, I probably have really crooked hands or my echo knight is broken. You made such a wonderful build and on your video, you live quite well, but again, in practice, at least for me, the heavyweight battle mage rolls so slowly that he manages to catch all the damage with his whole thin face. @@user-kv9mg1rc1j Just use Falling Sky’s Hail. It’s far better since it freezes Echo Knight. I haven’t seen any puddles in ages.
I thought that focus on damage gem and enchantment does not stack. Did uou teat this since patch?
Build is made after the early 0.1. patch. I even mention this in the title.
Hey Larry do you know where I can farm wool to craft the Seer Hat?
If you go to minute 11.13 you will see the merchant that sells random stuff. He will have wool to sell from time to time. Same like rings if you go to a different realm his shop will be reset and you might find wool to buy or edit the game and change the day and his shop will be reset. Thats one way to farm it, if not try to beat the crucible, at the end of the dungeon after you beat the boss there will be 5 chests and 4 of them have chance to give high grade materials.

im looking for a siren Queen horn staff but cant find any.Where is the best place to find it?
Firstly it’s not a staff. The Siren Queen’s Horn is a Rapier. Secondary I’m only using it because it fits the plague theme, you can use any other weapon and add the buff runes, the False Truth Staff is the main weapon for this build. But if you really want to find it just know it’s random drop, you can find it in any chests or enemies drops, you can also find it as challenges or bounty rewards… the crucible is also a good place to farm it, it’s still random but there are more chances to find it by doing more crucible.
So you upgraded the staff and it kept the 4 runes... ?? Is that a new thing? Usually once you upgrade to epic it only keeps 2... ?

Its a bug. They always keep the 4 spells to use rn but have the "right" visuals.

Usually yes, if you upgrade you lose the last 2 slots, I talked about it in the previous video. Every time I upgrade this staff he will retain all 4 slots. And if it doesn’t, If I exit the game and enter again, the 4 slots are still there. I’ve enchanted over 30 of this staffs trying to get the right stats and all of them retain the 4 runes.
A funny thing is that if you buy the last staff that the woodcutter sells (the one that also has blink on it) and then go enchant it, that staff not only it retains all the slots it also transforms into a legendary weapon.
How do you enchant it without losing the other two skills?
