SCP 3456, also known as The Orcadian Horsemen, are a group of quadrupeds resembling horses and other equines. Individual instances of SCP3456 deviate significantly from other equines, particularly due to the lack of hair, presence of three-toed hooves, thick translucent skin, and either single or multiple human torsos fused to its back in addition to the normal equine head attached to the horse's body. Instances materialize near the sites of war, terrorist attacks, and natural disasters. Multiple manifestations may occur depending on the scale of the event, as indicated by the entity's materialization during numerous historical events throughout the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries.

Otherwise you would be able to escape the shy guy just by purposely getting a concussion. Also I don't see how even the scp foundation would have the resources to give amnesics to everyone who sees the shy guy. Remember , there are many of these creatures so the shy guy would have to kill all of them , meaning he would get seen by even more people on its way.

In fairness, there are other folks that deal with suffering. If the SCP tried to fix the suffering that attracts such things, they will be too busy doing that and wouldn't be able to try and deal with anomalies.
The SCP is neither a paramilitary nor a humanitarian agency. They exist to protect reality, normalcy, and humanity's and life's continued existence. If a non anomalous war is happening, its not their business

basically confirmed. the Bob left out a large part of the SCP document where it mentions the gold rosary the WWI soldier had, embedded in the forehead of the Horsemen that showed up in Fukashima. That final clear shot of the horsemens face game them a clear shot of the gold cross, proving it was identical to the one the WW1 soldier had photographed and kept.
The bodies they collect at an event seems to somewhat correlate to the number that show up at the next manifestation. say it takes 5 bodies to make a horsemen, if 10 bodies are collected, 2 more horemen will show up the next day etc. thats why more and more horsemen steady show up at battlefields in increasing numbers over time.

Oh it’s the nuckelavee! I always liked him. He was a really neat monster you don’t see often In mythology. Something that’s truly horrifying rather than something that’s just weird, like a hippogryph. Only thing missing is the poison fog coming from it’s face.
If you like the nuckelavee then i recommend you reserach gashadokuros if you havent done it before

The myths were never this complex, and some of the big things this scp has, is never mentioned in IRL, and some irl stuff is never mentioned in the scp lore. Nuckelavee are one of my favorite Folklore Creatures, I never knew they were part of the SCP Foundation that's awesome.
I’ve always wondered this about this sip: If direct observation is necessary to target yourself then would wearing electronic night vision goggles or another other sort of headset that uses a camera to project a digital picture onto a screen work to protect you from direct observation of the Knuckalavee? Especially since it’s implied that our fellow researchers were able to view pictures/videos of the entity captured via the reconnaissance team’s cameras.
I don't know why, but I love when SCP takes classic fairy tales and mythological creatures and makes them into SCPs.
