Thank you, Wanda!
I find tutorials by Weather the best in that the instructors are well prepared and well versed in the presentation. Joe and Chuck are the best I have seen.
The best part of this tutorial is in the illustration of the different tools and how they are best used. A big thank you, again...from Alberta, Canada.
Thank you so much, that mean a lot!
I’ve just started and learning so much from your videos. Thank you for sharing your talents and tips with us

Thank you, Percy!
I was a Wheelwright Apprentice back in the 60’s and yes I do remember the 60’s, but the Wheelwright I worked for believed that we should know how to do all the jobs for Wagons. So we made out bolts, rims, planks to include all of the harness. I can still hear him saying “Start the cuts deep then go shallow and always converge”
Thank you for a very informative video!
I love it and thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much for the information. It´s very useful for me as a leatherwork student. To learn the names and what they are use for.
Wonderful work
You have major skills!!
Stunning
Great instructor! Thanks!

This is one of those videos that one look isn’t enough. Beginner here and this video was like a light bulb blowing up with light!

Hey, Joe! I don't know YOU, Brother...glad to meet you. Carving is my weak area, so I need lots of practice. Thanks for starting from the beginning!
Love it. Cause it sure helps!!!
I love this work
Thank you for the tutorial. It was great for beginners. I learned a lot about some of the tools that I have. My kit came with a lot of these tools. I was wondering what they were for and how to used them. This gave me a good start. Best regards, Richard
My friend you are awesome.

Fantastic Video,... Loved it, ...
Thank you, Billy!
Very informative, bravo 👏
I'm an artist, but new to leather crafting...fantastic video ~ you are quite talented!!
Thank you, Mark!
This is interesting. Thanks.😊
very helpful. great. am gonna buy it and try it home for just experience.
This is a good tutorial Because it tells what each tool does and the catalog number to take note of when buying tools stamps and adding to your equipment. In some tutorials, the teacher will say, "Next tool is XXXX" but without the tool cat#, it can't help when buying more stamps, if you don't know the Cat#. Until you learn the tool and cat#s. Also, the salesperson will take you more seriously if you use the cat# rather than just, "It looks like so, so,so, ...e .! Appreciate the tutorials.
Very helpful thanks
Thanks for video
I so glad I found this video
So glad it was helpful!
I want more so... I suscribe. Saludos from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Very helpful.....thank you
Very good.
Thank you great for the great video, If i will work on small wallet i should i a smaller tool?
¡Genial...! Saludos desde Honduras.👍😉👏
¡Saludos!
That's some skill you got there! :D respect =)
Exelent master!
Thank you so much for showing close ups of the face of the tool! Frustrating when crafters don’t do that!😡
wow you go fast and good😲
Masterful...
excelente explicación y una ejecución perfecta gracias por compartir tus conocimientos y perdon por no hablar ingles. gracias
Awwwww thanks , great tuto Man ;-)
good job, bravo.
Thank you!
Not sure how I got here, but this video was really fun to watch!
Thank you, Debra!
It looks so easy, I can do it as well. And then you try it yourself...
This is the moment when reality brings you back down to earth. 😢
How to cut several pieces of the same shape. When each cut separately (sp) all seem a little different in size, shape. Do you stack the leather and cut all at once. Or ?? Thanks for all the great info and videos.
Good video. I would definitely like to see more on how, and when, to use each tool. I think this would make more sense to me if you took an actual flower, or leaf, sitting in front of your leather, and show us how to reproduce that item.
Fantastic addition to the lineup. I'd really appreciate it if one of the first vids is on the care and sharpening of the swivel knife, particularly a Ceramic Swivel Knife. I sharpen my leatherwork knives, no problem, but the ceramic swivel is giving me fits. Any advice on which polish to use, green, white, or rouge, etc. I can't find any info on the ceramic knife and that's the only one I have. This will be a great series, thanks so much! Karen
Magnus on Dark Horse channel uses rouge to sharpen his ceramic, he is also a very awesome leather crafter.
Great job! What happens with crhome tanned leather? Same results? Thank you.
Thanks. Great.
It would be nice if you had the pattern as a download, so we could tool along with you on this. Great demo. Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion! We will definitely discuss!
He is well skilled and made that look easy. Now i can garantee you that mine would not come out looking like that and there would be a lot of cursing involved 😂.
Just cursing? Every time I try to do something with sharp tools it's end of me looking like a Gettysburgh survivor after the Pickett charge... Covered in bendages and splitted slice of fingers everywhere...
Obrigado por dividir seu conhecimento
Obrigado!
Nice!
Meus parabéns pelo seu trabalho..estou começando a meche com couro....pena que não entendo suas explicações mais assim mesmo aprendo só olhando
@Joe Meling, please correct me if i am wrong but you had a big career as a Bull Rider? BTW Great Video, and I hope Chuck is doing well, I look forward to seeing working from both of you,,, Great job!
Thanks for your clear explanation .
One question
How much we need to make the leather wet before carving?
Hi Mahi,
Check out the blog post below on some tips for wetting or casing leather: blog.weaverleathersupply.com/how-to-wet-leather/
People are going to ruin a lot of leather cause you made it look easy! LMAO
Start with a Pencil
I did
Super!!
✌️😏 good stuff
