I thought it'll give me tip on how to tighten the slack or looseness on the back strap but I guess some people who doesn't read the manual might need some help. Thank you for helping them. Love you channel!
Hey Marc, my blackstrap doesn’t have any slack at all. I didn’t know this was an issue. Sorry the video didn’t help with your issue. I’ll keep an eye on the one I have to see if the blackstrap become loose. I had some people ask for these videos so that’s why I uploaded the video. Reading you love the channel makes my week. I got the pin out without issue but I cant the the backstrap to slide off for the life of me, any idea how I could get it to slide off?
I don't know why yours is so hard to slide off. Are you using both thumbs like I do in the video to slide the back strap off?
Do you actually need to do a field strip to do this? It seems like it can be done without taking off the slide.
I guess not but I always do that when I change any pistols back strap these days.
@@UBRArsenal any specific reason why?
There’s a couple reasons but the main reason is safety. I like to be extra safe for my videos. This way if someone is following my how-to video and they are following how I do things, they will be safer too. Hope that makes sense.
link to a punch kit you would recommend?
This is the punch kit I use. Thanks for watching.

@@UBRArsenal thankyou
The TACOPS variation of the XMacro it has a flared magwell and it looks like you need to remove that before doing the backstrap installation. REALLY, wish Sig would have these instructions in their owners manual. There's not mention of the flared magwell or the 3 backstrap options.
weird, I JUST received my TACOPS from Academy sports, got home and was inspecting the flared magwell, and noticed there is female threads. The flared magwell just pulls off and there appears to be a place for a screw to go here to hold the flared magwell in place.
I agree. I also wish they added the mag well to both the TACOPS and the XMacro. That way my how-to videos would help both owners. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.
@UBRArsenal thanks.
Turns out mine was missing the screw (nut was there in the backstrap though).
Called Sig Support and they were great, sending out part and I suggested added the backstrap and flared magwell to the manual.
The flared magwell has two little circle indents on either side of the screw hole so I didn't wanna just forcing stuff.
Normally, you would just remove the screw, then carefully slide of the flared magwell, then follow your instructions for the backstrap change, then carefully slide the flared maxwell back on (noting the direction) and reinstall the screw.
I use a Glock tool.
Yeah, I guess that would work too. Thanks for watching. 👍🏼
