LITTLE CABIN IN THE YUKON
When I'm not traveling in an RV or at home working on an RV, I'm usually at our remote, off grid log cabin in the Yukon. My husband and I have had this cabin for over 20 years and love it. If you'd like a look into that part of my life, I have a channel showing how we live there, lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife. So much of what I learned living off grid at the cabin has come in handy living in an off grid RV! The link is here-

Oh wow! Interesting! Congrats! When I grow up I want to be just like you! 😂😅❤
Lol! Thanks, Rose!
Hi Sue! Best review I’ve seen on a product. I wouldn’t be able to lift either one. Back surgery restrictions. But that is a beast! I was laughing when you had all the appliances plugged in. Great way to show what it can do. The power drops as the charge is completing. I noticed that when I charge my bluetti. And just a note. My bluetti came with all the connections including the 12 v charger. That’s how I charged it on my trip. Again. Great thumbnail! ❤❤❤❤❤
Hiyuh, Winter! Thanks so much! I guess I've been blessed, or not! lol! Packing firewood has kept my arms and back strong, so I have no issues with them and I am so thankful for that. This beastly thing is amazing though! I had so much fun testing it out! We were going to put in inverter into Honey this summer, but the need no longer seems to be there with this. This is more power than I will probably ever need at one time. My Bluetti did not come with the car charger. I wonder if they decided to change that at some point. Hmmm? TFW!!
Really great review, Sue! This sounds like a great power station. This would be great to have for anyone rving or camping. Thanks for sharing! 😊😊
Hi Angela! Thank you for stopping by! I think this power station is going to be a big hit around here! Take care!
Hi, Susan! What a great score for camping - and for power outages! I’m still considering a psw inverter for emergency power but this S2000 is pretty affordable, especially if I don’t need the solar panels.
Hey Greg! It was a great score! And a huge game changer for us and our
RVing style. I have always resisted any kind of appliances for the RV (except for my hair dryer, lol!) Always buying rechargeable things. With this unit, I can think about appliances that would be helpful like my instant pot or blender. Pretty cool to have the option now! Thanks for watching!- Sue
Great video Sue, we gotta get one of those for the cabin!!!
Hey Bruce! It’s pretty awesome! Keeps everything charged and runs just about every electrical thingamee you might want! Thanks for watching!😁
This may have to head to the cabin with us too!
🙌🤗❤
Hi Sis. Great review. I sure that you will make use of it. 💜Heather
It's awesome! All the power I think I'll ever need! Thanks for watching, Lil Sis!
The AllPowers 200W panels are great - I bought the polycrystalline type because they were half the price of the monocrystalline ones, and they have great input, same as my monocrystalline Bluetti that was twice the price.
Have not tried Allpowers portable power stations, but love their less pricey solar panels.
That's so good to hear! I'm really impressed with all of their products so far! As far as i'm concerned, you can't be in a huge rush for power when charging with solar. So much is dependant on the time of day and the weather. So saving some money on the panels, even if they are supposed to be less 'efficient' is a win for me! Thanks so much for watching and leaving a helpful comment!
@@HoneyandMe - when they say polycrystalline is "less efficient", it pretty well means they make a slightly larger folding panel in order to still provide the watts. It took me a while to learn that, and when I did I was happy to get a 200 watt panel for a great price! But - they are not as sturdy as the mono panels, it seems to me, so they may not last as long. However, I needed something in my budget for now, and will see how the panel compares in durability to my 200W Bluetti panel.
@@debbiedogs1 Good to know! I haven’t tried the 200W panels from allpowers yet, but the 100 and 400 seem pretty sturdy.
Hi Susan, Thank you so much for your matter of fact reviews and real life testing. It gets past all the pretty pictures on the actual sites. One question I have is, have you ever tried to use a 12 volt rice cooker in your car or RV camping?
Thank you, Pat! I can't say that I have tried a 12-volt rice cooker in the RV or Car Camper. The only appliance I have actually used in the car camper is a little electric kettle which worked very well with the S2000. In the RV we have always gone appliance free to save our power. But these Allpowers solar batteries will be changing that this coming trip south. I'll be trying my little Instant Pot and a blender out and see if they are worth adding to the RV kitchen. Just as a suggestion...with the amount of power and time a rice cooker takes to cook rice, you might want to consider just using instant rice. Boiling water is much more economical on power than having the rice cooker on for a longer period. Just and idea. Although I get the rice cooker. I have a larger one I use at home and it makes making rice so easy! Thanks so much for your question and I'd love to hear how it works for you if you try it out! Take care!-Sue
Awesome just awesome
Thanks, Wiley!😊

@@WanderingWiley Multi tasking!! lol!
I like these kinds of vids because I can plan for some very neat tools for future camping adventures. I wish you were a little closer(Ontario) because I am considering buying a Matrix in the near future! Heyy......what about doing a cross-country video?! There's a real test for the S2000 in 'the wild' :)
You can’t go wrong with a Toyota! We love our Matrix and won’t be getting rid of it even when I do get my new to me car camper! Funny you should mention a cross country trip! Our oldest daughter moved to PEI last year and I plan to do a cross country trip! Not sure just when yet, but I’m already planning stops! Thanks for watching!
With the price of groceries, you can't afford not to have a backup system of some kind.
So true! Because we live about 1 1/2 hours from groceries, we stock up and try to only go to town every couple of weeks. It always a big load!
I have an Percon E600LFP with a surge of 1200w and a Votman 1000 with a surge of 2000w and neither will fire up my 12" DeWalt chop saw to full RPMs even though it only draws about 900w. 🤔
@@NorthernRetreat That’s weird! The 1000W one should.
@HoneyandMe I've noticed that any power bank manuals never list chop or table saws. They must have too much initial draw for power stations. I know my generators used to bog down with saws too, but given enough time would recover. There's an experiment for you, see if your 2000 will run a 12" chop saw.
@@NorthernRetreat On it! I’ll try it and get back to you!👍
these allpowers solar generators have only about 33 percent of the total cycles of lithium phosphate.
There are positives and negatives on both sides. We take our Allpowers solar batteries to our Yukon cabin where we get winter temperatures of -40C regularly. These Allpowers batteries can take the cold, where the lithium phosphates cannot.
@@HoneyandMe thanks for the insight.
I worked n Dawson city 2 summers. Was some of the best time of my life
Oh wow!! We love Dawson City!! Haven’t been there for a few years but keep saying we need to make another trip up. It’s such a neat place. Have you read Pierre Burton’s mother, Laura Berton’s, book about Dawson City in it’s heyday? It’s called ‘I Married The Klondike’ A wonderful account of life then.
I thought I had your email. I want to forward the shaker email to make sure its legit before I give them a physical address. Did your email come from a gmail?
Hi Winter! Just checked and yes it did. The gentleman I dealt with was Maxwell Horace, and he emailed me through a gmail address but it was not one that contained his name.
My email is on my about page if you still want to send the contact email.
@@HoneyandMe Thank you. It’s the same gentleman that emailed me.
@@HoneyandMe I looked at your About page on my phone. There was no email there. I must have to be on a laptop. No need to send the email. You answered my question. Thanks Sue.
