Andy Hillenburg has done it all. You may know his name from the Fast Track Racing School, NASCAR racing, ARCA team owner, stunt driving, sprint car racing, TV production guy, or even the angry driver who chased Barry Pepper into the woods. He provided cars, had a driving role, and small acting parts in 3: The Dale Earnhardt Story along with his race shop being used to depict RCR during the movie itself. The famous Aflac commercials with Carl Edwards and M&Ms Kyle Busch commercial were filmed using a special camera car of his. His shop provided the race cars in Herbie Fully Loaded where he spent time with Michael Keaton. You can even find Andy in the Shaq VS episode where Shaquille O'Neal races Dale Earnhardt Jr. The monster size custom racing seats built for Shaq are hiding in Andy's parts pile!

Thank you for getting all these great stories! 😉
@@nitsudocsicnarf347 Thank you for watching them!
I suggest that whenever he does remember something from it he whips his phone out and does a video about it I'm 50 and I've retrained myself to do it kind of
The way that I stay in fighting shape is that I have a smoothie every morning for breakfast
Carrots blueberry spinach walnuts and fruit juice.
I eat whatever I want to for lunch not fast food.
The night normally have peanut butter for dinner
Honey roasted peanut butter that's what I like and I just ate it out of the jar with a spoon
I'm 6 ft tall I weigh 150 lb and I'm 50 years old I've weighed 150 lb for years if I start weighing more I eat at an earlier time every day before 7:00 if I'm losing weight I eat more of my food after 7:00 at night
What I've learned
From the last few videos is that the most interesting people are the people that raced for fun and did whatever they could to make money
Thank you for coming by and filming. We enjoyed having you here!
I Like Buick Regal And Chevrolet Lumina From The Early 90s NASCAR Winston Cup Series
Glad to be there and hope to be back soon!
In case Andy sees this, I love seeing that he's still doing stuff in ARCA.
Hey fast Track can I get some Auto Hero cards. Or sheet metal?? HAD TO ASK @fasttrackracing11
I didn't realized you guys was part of the movie. That's awesome. Good luck on the 18th at flat rock.
Me and Andy were friends in middle school! Hi Andy! We’d ride the school bus and sit together and he could name the winning driver of every single Indy 500 all the way back to the first race in 1911.
Man what a small world 😂
You could tell he has a huge history.
His voice sounds like he is calming link Logan mentioned.
Want to be like him guy for sure. I don’t give that out .
I knew that Andy Hillenburg had a varied racing career, but I learned a lot more about him after watching this. He'll probably enjoy sitting with his kids and grandkids watching this many times over the following years. Another great video. Thanks for the effort you and Logan put into bringing us these stories.
That’s one of the things I take into consideration when editing these videos. I want to do a good job for the descendants of those featured to enjoy it generations from now.
I never knew any of this. I always knew him as one of the independent drivers who struggled to make the field and I’ve always respected them more because of how tough that dream is competing against the big boys. This just adds 100 more dimensions to him. So cool. He is a certified badass!
Absolutely!
Andy looked like he was having as much fun as y'all were. Thanks for the great interview. Funny how Andy kept saying he had forgotten he had this one or that one. With all your videos you bring out good memories for the ones you are interviewing. The best part of this one was when Logan sat in Shaq's seat.
Thank you Keith! It’s very satisfying to see the memories come back
I had to chuckle at Logan sitting in that seat as well,......it hurts my brain to think that Big Diesel could actually fit into the close quarters of a Cup Car!
grateful to have met and driven for Andy. one of the really good guys in this business. his property is full of treasures. thanks for taking the time to share em!!!
You're the man Brad
Back in the day there were two Andy Hillenburg's, Oklahoma Andy ran with The World of Outlaws in the #2 and Indana Andy ran open wheel and stock cars. Both are great guys and I am so glad you had the chance to interview and spend time with Andy what a gem. I did a Big Grin when he thanked you for doing the interview and run down memory lane. The connection list in the 704 area is getting even better, I know you want to work on the Monte's but the work of video / edit is important to save the history lessons. Thanks Again Mitchell and Logan !
Thank you Steve!!
Worked with Andy for 3 years while I was starting in racing and I still help fuel his cars every once in awhile.
Andy’s always been there to guide my career, I owe him a lot and to see him light up telling these old stories is awesome
Oh I remember that shop. Worked for Andy from 96 to 2001. Andy still has or did have Bobby Allisons Daytona 500 winning car.
I was at the Saturday Daytona race (16:30 mark) just past the start finish about 6 rows up or so. When Atwood got airborne I thought ‘WOW!’ Which is as quickly overtaken by ‘oh shit he’s coming right at me…’. Car came to stop in front of me as one of the coil springs rolled passed the car into the grass beating Casey on that day.
I agree that he has a very calming voice. I bet he is great to work with!
We need to talk about something serious now, Snow blindness in Cats!
Andy Hillenburg Was 95 Arca Championship Thanks For Uploading
He brought the cars to Moncks Corner SC for the funeral scene I was in for righteous gemstones. I snuck over and had the opportunity to talk to him. Awesome guy!
Andy Hillenburg is such a cool guy. I love his racing history and his work in Hollywood and the stunt driving industry. Thanks for doing this interview
Probably my favorite interview episode so far. Andy is well spoken and easy to listen to. Great storytelling!
LOL Logan setting in that shaq seat is frigging awesome.....
Mitchell you and Logan just keep on keeping the Dream Alive!....even I learn from it and I been a NASCAR buff all my life!
Him narrating racing books would be awesome!!!
One of the best movies ever if you like comedies, Will Ferrell and a lot of that cast (RIP Michael Duncan Clark) and racing. Watched it many times. This video was a must watch for me.
Best video yet. He is the nicest and so gentle. I see why he did not stay in NASCAR, He is too nice. Mitchael and Logan, you two are so lucky. Thank you both.
He still is in NASCAR with his ARCA team!
So much I didn't know about Andy, thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Glad you’re here for it!
Andy is a very nice person. Met him in the late 90's he came a drove a dirt modified at Devil's Bowl Speedway with Ken Schrader and Sterling Marlin.
Super cool story. I remember Andy from his racing days but had no idea he was so involved in movie making. Another side of NASCAR history that most people never knew.
Of coarse I knew Andy Hillenburg from back in the day.. I knew he was a single team guy and heard his name a lot in races. What a pleasure to meet him.. Thank you so much for doing what you are doing bringing back the memories for us old guys!
Thank you Jeff!
Andy, we talk about you often. Thank you for all the time you spent with me at your track, I learned a lot from you.
What an amazing guy.
So cool of him to share his stories and theres some good ones.
The movie and film stories, the Daytona race, Indy. Hes done some amazing things. I love the fact that he just kept his foot into the gas in that accident footage and still grabbed third.
Hopefully one day all this memorabilia comes out of storage and he displays it all in one of his shops for people to come see.
He could hand out an audio file for people to play as they walk around.
Id listen to him talk about this stuff all day.
After each video I think that there's no way he can top this one, been saying that for years now. Not sure how you do it, but they are all amazing! Yall both are great and your knowledge blows my mind!
Thanks Michael we try!
Ya'll's formula for producing this kind of content is a work of art in itself.
Thanks so much! M more than grateful.
Thank you!
What a cool guy Andy is.
Very!
I love every bit of what you got going on. I made a mini museum in my garage from collectables I gathered through the years. Now I get to meet all my hero's through you, Kenny, Mark, Lake, Hillenburg, all the cool guys. This is my passion. Thank you for this.
Glad you’re here for it dennis!
When I worked for Goodyear we mounted all the tires for the police cars and the Chevelle . Goodyear was across from Concord Mills Mall .
27:00 I’ve always wondered about that throughout the years. When Andy tells the story of getting that movie shot in Talladega Nights, that makes Andy a first-ballot certified BADASS! Next time I watch that movie, I’ll think of Andy and the 300mph stock car scene. Awesome!!!
Absolutely!
*I wish the video was longer but that's a good thing.* Alens Michael Keaton story had was 😂. You and Logan both are doing a great job. I've found the entire video intresting and entertaining so thank you and Logan for doing this 🏁🏁
Thanks man!
Andy is a great guy for NASCAR. I am excited about your car video. I agree, getting it all together and then just breaking up the videos and then show the whole thing is a lot better way to do it. That way no one loses track as to what you are doing and why. Thanks, Mitchell, for taking me again to a great guy and a great shop with a hell of a story.
Thank you Larry!
It was great to see you, Patrick. Have wonderful memories of the 1999 Busch season with Jeff when we first met one another. Miss you my friend, Joel
Logan, good call on Andy being a book reader! He does have the voice! Ask Andy about chatting with me on the phone back when I was getting my first late model that I raced at Beech Bend. He told me what safety equipment I needed.
I’m going to buy a fuel cell bladder from him because mine is from 2005. He must be mr safety 😂
This was one of your best, Mitch and Logan....
I smiled through the whole thing....
Well done...
Thanks man!!
You can’t help but just love Andy after watching this video.
Salt of the earth guy.
This was great! 🙂
He is a super cool guy with a lot more stories to share!
I worked there for a little under 2 years I think. I was after “3” and Talladega nights but I did work on “at any price” and did lots of start and parks for Andy. Arca didn’t have charters or anything like Cup has now so Andy had to enter every race to keep his provisionals and ensure that when he did get a paid driver, the car was guaranteed a starting spot. I have lots of laps around Rockingham and Little Rock because Andy was part owner at the time and we would shoot the tv shows there and have the driving school there too.
This was a great video. Movie production interest me. I'm a carpenter ,now retired. I always thought it would be fun building sets . Life got in the way. I was a prop and set builder for a few local runs of Jesus Crist Superstar. and Into The Woods . I even got to play the hung Judas . I got to be hung. It's the only scene that didn't get an applause for some reason ;). All of your videos are great. I don't folllow NASCAR anymore but, I do enjoy the history and you both do it so well . .
Thanks man we are glad you’re here for it!
This was great. Really enjoyed seeing Andy's history. You'll definitely have to do a 2nd one. Keep up the great work. Being an older guy (71), I love the history you find. IMO, the Gen 7 cars will never have the same type of history as the older ones. Thanks for all you do.
I agree. They’re all the same parts. Thanks man!
Great job Mitchell , would love to hear about Andy’s ownership of Rockingham for a short stint , how I wish that could have been successful!
Thanks for bringing us the GOLD !
In a way it was successful. He brought the truck series back in 2013. It kept it working long enough to not be totally ruined and useless today. That’s significant in itself
Very true , they now just need a gentle push and endorsement from Dale Jr .
That track is one racy track with a lot of character !
Andy is a true gem and such an enjoyable watch. He's one of the true "nice guys" and gentlemen of the sport. Can't wait to see more content like this. God bless and race on 🏁
thanks man!! we are glad you're here for it!
Andy has such a unique story. Racer, racing teacher, car owner and all Hollywood type stuff. Cool to listen to him talk about this stuff
One of my favorite lines is LarryMac asking "How did he get down to his underwear so fast?"
😂
Simply Amazing , Vintage Nascars still running and being tracked, More!!
Woah I didn’t know any of this until watching this video. Great job love all your content keep up the great work ☺️ Andy should go on the Dale Jr download and tell these stories
Man, how did you, of all people, resist those exhaust pipes????
Hahaha!
I remember Andy from his ARCA days, and was always a fan! Never knew this other aspect of his life and career.
As usual, amazing content!
Maybe I already looked at them 😂
@@Stapleton42 hahaha, no doubt!
I was Ricky Bobby's crew during "High, Wide and Handsome " as we called it during filming. Best time on set, still have my autographed Wonder Bread hat from filming, hot pass for filming during the October race and a lot of other autographed jazz from filming plus pics because I knew they used disposable cameras for background so I got a real one and tool a lot during filming but the flash kept going off. Will, Jack, Michael Clarke Duncun, Amy Adams and everyone were great. Lots we filmed that didn't make it to even the uncut version and we were originally saying Thunder and Lightning until we got a call about Cars coming out and changed it to Shake N' Bake! 😀
That’s awesome. Did you do any work when the filming was at Andy’s shop?
Yes! The only time we filmed at any other "track" was one weekend in Talladega and the first he's on fire at Rockingham! Our car actually got to go on the track during the race for a few laps. They had just scraped the track at Charlotte during filming so when wr had the first pit space and people wrecked my radio fell out of my ear and didn't know what happened. I'm actually working on the steering wheel in Cal's car during the outtakes. We also filmed the part where they were making out on the hood and I was also pit crew in 3!
We could only film before, during pits or wrecks then filmed our wrecks at night while the drunks yelled at us for keeping them up lol.
I actually got confetti in my mouth while trying to drink the champagne during our victory lap scenes and Michael and David cracked up lol.
Please keep the great racing history content coming. Your work documenting the historic aspects of NASCAR stock car racing is so important. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to your projects.
Thanks man we appreciate you!
Love Andy! Seems like just a wonderful guy. Another great video by Mitchell and Logan. Thank you so much!!
Thank you John!
Another outstanding video! Andy definitely had fun doing this with you guys thats neat to see.
He is a cool guy. I think we need more of Andy
Cracks me up....i just searched you guys to see if you had anything new out. Then bam, here it is. Cool stuff
The universe brought you here for a reason! 😂
Logan was on point about him being able to do audio books or voice over work because he speaks well and sounds welcoming. I mean he definitely has a chance if George Carlin of all people can make kids want to watch Thomas the Train😂 Overall though he just seems like one of those “good ol boys”🤷♂️
Hey Russell and Logan. I really enjoyed the Andy Hillenburg shop tour and going over the Talladega Nights movie. It was really cool Andy look like he was having fun doing it. Seems like a really nice guy. Again, thank you for all you guys do for NASCAR memories. Well done
Thanks man. My name is Mitchell but I prefer being called Russell over Chris 😂
That was extremely enjoyable. He should write a book.
Wow, Mitchell and Logan y'all never cease to amaze me with the awesome content, Andy Hillenburg deserves at least one more hour length video, such an interesting guy with a storied career. Thank you once again.
Thank you for being here mark!
Thanks for doing this. Andy is the most jovial down to earth cat going. AAA +++ effort
Thank you both for bringing constantly great videos to us!!
Our pleasure! Thanks for being here for it
@@Stapleton42 👍
awesome I used to watch Andy hunburg back in the '80s
Worked for Andy some 20 years ago at that very complex.😊
Enjoyed listening to Andy Hillenburg tell his stories another good video guys
Super cool. I did not know about Fast Track. Once again you two nailed it. Also you two have a way of getting your hosts to rise to the occasion and deliver cool content that would be lost or not available to those of us that are outside looking in.
Thanks man!
What a gem, had no idea!
Damn man, this a another great video that most people would have no clue about! You have really captured some unbelievable history!
Don’t forget Andy was a helluva sprint car driver, dude could straight wheel
SHAKE & BAKE!! 🎉 you guys are so dang creative! My favorite movie, we always watch it in our trailer when we go Glamping! To cool guys to cool!
Thanks man!!
I love it! This is some great stuff. The last 3 months of videos has been amazing! Some great interviews and stories! Keep up the good work!
Glad you like them! We will keep it going
You guys are awesome! I love the cool people you interview and all the cool stuff we end up seeing! I liked the "rehydrate the memories" line haha.
Some cool history! Thanks for sharing
Another great show!! Always interesting.
He'd be the best cutest grandpa ever. One of your best videos. Thank you for sharing it with me
Glad you’re here for it!
Hope you’ll do some videos of you racing this summer. I am 65 years young and run a dirt hobby stock and love it. Keep the videos coming!
That’s the plan!
Great video as usual guys! Thanks
Thanks for quality content. Andy such a nice guy.
I love this kind of stuff. Thanks to you two for bringing it to us.
Our pleasure!
Thank you for the video. Andy has some great stories 👍
More fantastic content featuring two of my favorites, movies and racing. That "Buick" camera car was really awesome. A lot of great stories, I think Andy is kind of an unsung hero of the sport. As always, thanks for doing this!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Watching this as I work out. You guys are the best! Keep it up.
Awesome! Thank you!
What a cool laid back guy
What incredible story!
Nice work !
We actually hired Andy for a second team test car with Ricky Rudd. One time for the Winston open!
But I learned a lot watching, thank you
Thanks man!
Another great video Mitchell and Logan🏁
This was awesome, as usual! :-)
I knew Andy had the racing school, race team, and he use to own Rockingham but I really had no idea he was involved in filming.
Incredible upload. Another awesome watch, so cool to see how much history you guys have uncovered in such a short amount of time. Seeing the Joy in Andy’s face talking about this stuff was great. You’re doing God’s work. Keep it up!!
thanks man we appreciate you!
Would definitely like to hear more of this guy story
Hopefully we can do that!
Andy is a very cool guy, thanks for all you do!
Great video I was a fan of his back in the day it’s good to see he’s done so much for the sport
Omg that was the best vid Mitchell geez your smashing it bro 🙌
Thanks man!
Such an interesting video I didn’t know about Andy being involved in movies and commercials, so cool to see that 🏁😎🏁
Way kewl episode! Epic stuff.
very interesting !!! Andy is a treasure !!!!! keep up the great work !!!!!!
Another awesome video!!!!!
Great video! I got to do some fast laps with Andy driving back in 2000 and met him again when owned Rockingham and brought the truck race there. Super nice guy both times. Really really enjoyed this video.
Thank you Wayne
had no idea it was mostly just one race shop doing all that stuff, figured it was just the studio's buying old retired cars, using them, then scrapping them.
Awesome content! Keep up the great work!
Thank you! Will do!
Another great video! I knew Andy had been a driver but had no idea he was involved in so many movie productions. Seems like a genuine, nice guy. I wish you'd ask him about his brief ownership of Rockingham Speedway. It may be a sensitive subject since it didn't work out.
Great video! Andy seems like a joy and a man full of knowledge.
