In today's theme park vlog, we take of tour around Universal's Islands of Adventure restaurants and eating establishments. Universal's Island of Adventure has many dining options and we basically take a lap around the park to take a look at each one and offer our insights. We start off with a visit to the few places they have to eat at in the port of entry. From there we move on to Marvel Superhero Island and stop off at the Fantastic Four Cafe and the Captain American Diner among other things. Then it's on to Islands of Adventure's Toon Lagoon where we discuss the Comic Strip Cafe, Bondies and Wimpy's Burgers at Universal. After that we pass a few food kiosks and come to the Jurassic Park area of Universal's Islands of Adventure. While in the Jurassic Park area we check out the Thunder Falls restaurant and Burger Diggs. Once we're done with all the Jurassic Park restaurants we head in to Hogsmeade, the Harry Potter section of Universal's Islands of Adventure. Show you some spots for some butter beer before having lunch at the Three Broomsticks. We discuss the construction up date of the new Harry Potter Coaster. Then it is on to the Universal's Mythos restaurant inside of Islands of Adventure. After giving our opinion regarding the restaurant called Mythos, it's on to Suess Landing at Universal's Islands of Adventure, we grab a giant cotton candy from Honk Honkers and talk about the menu at Circus McGurkus. And finally reach the last Islands of Adventure main restaurants which is Confisco's. #UniversalStudios

My family and I just went Sunday and Monday. We always seem to just miss you guys. Every time we go you post a video a couple of days later. Hopefully we can find you one time, my son loves looking for the rocks.

Another awesome vlog , y’all are so right about the dessert in Seuss landing that’s were we went every time we wanted a dessert, the cafe is pretty good too. Now I need to go back to try the places I didn’t know about.

My daughter and her friend (who we are going on the trip with), just performed in Seussical Kids in their school's production! My daughter was one of the Cats in the Hat and her friend was a Who! I haven't been to IoA in 10+ years and I needed to see what is worth getting at this park. I gotta say HP section is looking like the best option. Dr.Seuss landing for that massive cotton candy. And various shops for themed sweets

You guys have to try out Cowfish. Great burgers! It’s a must go to every time we come to universal for our Disney/Universal trips
We had Wimpys on our very first trip in 2002. Haven't had it since then, but back then the burgers were really good.
I'll check back during Christmas, otherwise, I'll try to remember for next July 4th.

So much fun! Never knew about the place you did at the end. Going to check that out! I like Circus a lot. But I love Comic Strip because no one is ever in there. Cashiers and cooks are above on service and smiles. Once, while I was in there I felt something on my back. I reached to find out what was and it was a bird! i put him on the ground and we dined together. Fun memory. Thanks again!

Awesome vlog, as always! We got muffins a few times at the Croissant Moon Bakery to take bake to hotel for our next day’s breakfast. One thing we learned the hard way was that most food places close up before the parks do. We thought to eat dinner before we headed back to hotel, but left it too late. Fantastic 4 Cafe was great! Especially since it was pouring outside when we ate there. lol We loved the Three Broomsicks!! Now we have to add Thunder Falls and Confisco’s to our “must try” list for next time. Thanks for the tour! (But now I’m hungry!! I will have to show my mom that cotton candy. She loves that stuff!
OMG, Nikki has been hounding me to show that cotton candy....hehehe. I never eat breakfast at the parks, to eager to bet the lines for the rides.
I understand the wanting to get right on the rides thing. We would get muffins or bagels to eat on the walk from the hotel and then hit the rides right off. Then do a quick stop for a better breakfast a bit later. I didn’t know about the grab and go breakfast bar at the hotel until the day we left, because we were in such a hurry to hit the parks in the morning, that we didn’t explore the hotel much.

Mythos is a world class theme park restaurant. The sandwiches and burgers arent really the thing to order here. The high end dishes are top of the line.
Yes, I'd like to try the high end dishes, it's just that I'm typically in the parks from open to noon and I'm a simple guy for lunch. Now if I was ever there late enough for dinner there are some fancier dishes I'd love to try.

Comic Strip Cafe was open this past Monday, Aug 6th, our last day of our trip. It was the only day we saw it open.
I do recall eating there once, just never in that area during the lunch hour.

No, sorry, because of the cost of the holiday, we can only do either that one or HHN and the family loves HHN. We'll do it in the future though, probably not this year, but maybe the year after the channel will be doing well enough to add that one.
Theme park prices... Ugh...
I have to say, Lost Continent is really an eyesore. It's right in the path of travel, being along the path to the HP area, and it's theming is so cool, but there isn't really anything there. No rides or anything, just some random shows, it's such a letdown.

Whimpy's veggie burger with curly fries and a dole whip is one of my favorite in-park meals.... when they are open
This video made me go on the hunt for a pasty, I'm currently living in Indiana but lived in Wisconsin for most my life and there I could find pasties in just about any grocery store there, (perk of being connected to the UP of Michigan) manged to find some in meijers.

Thunder Falls was our favourite restaurant. The food was good and we enjoyed watching our kids play in the splash zone while we had a leisurely lunch. A nice escape from the crowds. I had a Dr. Suess cupcake and although it was cute it was a little dry. Good photo though 🙂
Plus it always seems a little cool back there, probably because of the mist of water that must be in the air.

Thunder Falls Terrace is legit the best place to eat in Universal Orlando period. They even advertise it as having won Best Theme Park Restaurant multiple years in a row. That chicken & rib combo is delicious and compared to the other stuff in the park a good value meal.

I’m watching this again because we’re going to both parks in the middle of May. Are Whimpy’s and Green Eggs and Ham open more now? I really want a Wellington Burger.
I've taken the boys to Burger Digs, they loved it (milkshake with combo order). I thought it was ok, just average kind of burgers. To add to the NIx Trix, if you ask they will mix the Icee Flavors for you. So I like get them to mix Cherry and Lemonade to get a Cherry Lemonate Icee. The good ones do it in a bunch of layers so you dont have to mix it up as much.
Yep, I don't think it's a fresh patty for those burger. Nice tip on the icee.

YAY IT'S RIX FLIX DAY!!! AND NIKKI!!! I love these food tours! Will you be doing a city walk one (or two parts I know there's a lot!!!) because that would be awesome! I've been to universal like 6 times and I never saw some of these! We've added a couple of these to our list for our September trip! And we will be locals soon so we will get to go try even more which is too exciting! Also that dinosaur game app looks really super cute, will definitely be trying that! We are going to do more of these, City Walk, Disney, etc....eventually, going to take a little break from them, as we ramp up for HHN, but it's a goal to have one for every park.

We feel the same about Mythos.I will be calling out their sign in my next IOA vlog. Says best theme park restaurant 6 years in a row. That sign has been there for at least 3 years but the number never goes up. Lol
HAHA, I know right...I say once the streak is over, take down the sign, or put up a new sign that shows the years.
The sandwich shop at the beginning is my favorite and it was under 5 dollars.
We finally FINALLY had Green Eggs and Ham back in June when we attended the Orlando Informer meet up. Not the best food but hey we had to eat there to say we finally had it lol. Confisco and 3 broomsticks is definitely 2 of our faves. ~Dawn

I travel each year to Orlando and my favorite theme park is Islands of adventure ! All the food inside is really good and delicious , I use to eat at the cafe 4 and that restaurant that’s kind of a tavern . In general I like the food . Have you ride the Incredible Hulk coaster ? That’s my favorite one . I like the launch moment , it’s my favorite part and unique moment
Hulk is my favorite ride...I always ride back row so the launch feels longer.

Not sure about the AP Dining Plan, probably, I would guess so. Yes, more HHN videos are planned, we'll do a "preview show" before it starts.

The pizza taste different if the dough is made fresh just like at Knotts Berry farm.
We also have two different pizza locations at the farm. the pizza taste different because the way the yeast is stored in each location and the proofers are usually a little different for the dough rising.
Something as subtle as a few degrees could completely change the taste of the dough.

The dinners are supposed to be really good. Unfortunately we've only had lunch there, but would like to do a dinner if we are ever in the park that late.
I really wish that Universal Orlando Resort had a Universal Classic Monsters Meet’N Greet! That would be incredible! Just think, Dr. Jack Griffin, Phantom of The Opera, Dracula and Family, Frankenstein and his Bride, and every Universal Classic Monster! Am I the only person who thinks that would be incredible? Please tell me that I am not!
